Revive your team mates! It annoys me when medics don't revive me but demand my ammo. It's like if you're not gonna revive me you're not getting ammo. Thanks for this video though
While I agree I would've liked to see Dice take some liberties(like they did with everything else in this game) and added a scope/optic variant for these two. I think the reason why they didn't is because in real life these two did not have scopes till later on after World War One. Also am I the only one that thinks that the C96 trench should be with the medic class, it's a semi auto carbine not a submachinegun lol.
Conquest maps you can cap flags on while in boats: Fao Fortress (A, B, and G), Empire's Edge (E), and Albion (C and F). *Tip* : bear in mind that teammates can spawn on the boat so it might be best to beach the boat while doing this, since some may jump in the driver's seat and leave the objective. If you want to use the boat again, you can still bash the boat back into the water with your melee weapon just like in previous Battlefield games.
Thank you for another great video Westie! As someone who's great great grandfather was an officer in the British Army who fought and died in the Gallipoli Campaign, I am very excited and grateful that this addition to Battlefield 1 came out. It brings attention and notoriety to a part of WW1 that is very important to my family and many others who have relatives that fought in Gallipoli and the Dardanelles. And for the most part it's pretty damn accurate, "for a video game". I say that because there are a few thing that are not really historically correct, but the one that sticks out most to me is the sniper for the British forces. Even though there weren't any African soldiers serving in Gallipoli I can accept the choice because there were African soldiers fighting in the British forces in many other theaters of the war. The one thing that does bother me thought is his hat. I'm not trying to be critical or be a whinger, but that hat sticks out like a sore thumb. There is absolutely nothing British, Australia, New Zealander, or even African about it. It's an American campaign hat that was never within 1000 miles of the Gallipoli Peninsula. I wish dice would change it to what they show in the live action picture they have for the Gallipoli operation on the operations page. But anyways that's just one small thing and I'm certainly not going to let it ruin everything this dlc got right but from a historical standpoint it is a bit of an eyesore that's all.
I love seeing comments like this. People being able to relate to these things is what makes them special. In regards to that British scout though, he's actually meant to be a Maori soldier. I'm pretty sure Flak fire did a great video about it if you're interested.

Haha No problem dude. Mistakes regarding Gallipoli happen all the as unfortunately it is often forgotten in the annals of history. I'm just glad that you were a person who can admit a mistake and you didn't bite my head off. As far as family history, I struggle to get any further back than the Second World War. Be glad you're lucky enough to be proud of what your ancestors achieved.
Yeah definitely more than willing to admit a mistake especially if I was able to learn something from it. I do my best and pride myself on my knowledge of history from the two World Wars because of my family's connection to them. But I definitely feel very lucky and take great pride in my family's heritage and what they fought for and achieved. Its great that you can trace your family lineage back to WW2 very few people can even say that. Mind if I ask where your family served?
These weapon unlocks are a hell of a lot more easy to accomplish than the ITNOTZ ones. Already have the Carcano and Arisaka done. Can't wait to give the Arisaka a full go and see how it performs, it's the one I have been looking forward to the most.
For Boat Captures: Conquest E Objective (The Tower on the island connected to the D castle via a Bridge) on the Empire's Edge map (Italian Coastal Fortress) that has all the Fortress guns and the large inland villages and castle.

Fao Fortress, the A, C, and G flags can be capped from a boat. Then for killing players in a boat, just bring a boat through the channel by C and park it there. Be warned, this makes you a ripe target for snipers. Alternatively, there's Albion but once again, you're exposed to snipers
I have just noticed the two real life reload animations for the Farquhar Hill. There are two ways to release an open bolt. 1)There’s a bolt release catch at the rear just under the bolt handle or as per animation On an empty mag with the bolt held open, the new mag is inserted and the trigger is pulled to release the bolt. This is true to life. Then, There are no feed lips on the mag. There is a vertical switch on the right side of the mag that moves a latch to retain the rounds. On a partially full mag change, the players thumb slides the switch on the mag,so remaining rounds don’t fall out. On insertion of the full mag the switch is slid again so the mag can feed. Very cool DICE. It’s these little detail that make this game.

So far I have unlocked the Browning 1917 low weight and telescopic, and in my opinion I think that it's the best Support class LMG so far. The Magazineis massive, the amount of rounds you can fire until it has to cool down is great, and the recoil is not that bad. The Browning is just a great weapon overall and it's awesome when you flank a large group of enemies because you can just hold down the fire button and just keep on killing
If anybody is stuck on the Arisaka Infantry and needs the multi kills. Spawn on the little torpedo boats on Cape Helles and destroy the new L Class Destroyer with them. Almost guaranteed multikill.
Here is how I got mine. . . Was playing PTFO with the G95. Shot one dude in front of me and knifed his teamate(1multy down). Blew up a tank in the next match with the light antitank grenade(2 multy down) and then mowed down two dudes with the 1911 lol. It aint hard at all to do if you play the aggressive sniper.
I did it on Amiens, spawned as an assault, placed mines in my usual spots (you can place up to 6 at once if you resupply so 3 in two separate places). Then I killed myself and spawned as a scout, played normally until tanks ran over my mines, about half he time it was 2+ kills and counts as a “scout multikill”. Got my last two in about 15 minutes this way. The first multikill was by shooting down a bomber with an AA, which was real easy and works on another challenge at the same time.
Maps where boats can cap flags: Fao fortress (b, c, g, maybe a). Empires edge (e flag). Albion (I forget which ones but some can be capped in the water. Also Albion is a great place to rack up boat destroys
For the Cutlass, I would probably recommend the Albion map from In the Name of the Tsar. I think at least two of its objectives can be be captured if your able to run a boat onto the ground.

Best way to multi kill as a scout is on close combat maps like fort du vaux, ballroom blitz, aimians ect either use flashing signal flare or incendiary trip bombs on choke points. When group of enemies run through the point they get burned to death and if your lucky more then one will die at a time
Tips for the carcano challenge. For the multikills play domination and plant 2 trips in a Trench but make sure they can't see it. With luck I had 4 kills by 2 tripwires. And I try that again and again. And it was done
I went straight for the 1917 trench carbine. It was my favorite in the cte and it's still my favorite. It took me so long to get the 5 multikills because it takes forever to get 3 people together. Let alone having them be damaged enough to be killed by a grenade.
I'm happy DICE made these assignments well, easier (haven't unlocked a single french weapon since dlc launch) and I am glad it encourages people to play their roles. I got revived so many times on the Battlefield. None of the medic 3m away and not reviving you BS
hey what I thought for getting multikills is go on iron walls operation and get on the anti air as the scout and then wait for bombers, airship, attack planes to fly and if youre lucky you can get them in no time
Is it just me or does the Carcano really lacks in damage output?, I know it is one of the quickest bolt-actions but hitting enemies for 50-60 damage at a decent range is just silly for THE italian sniper. Fix this please Dice I wanna rock with an italian sniper-rifle, the Vetterli isn't that great eighter :(
My god the Infiltrator is so much fun to use! The air strike is brilliant, and the martini Henry grenade launcher is really bizarre. The weapons are really nice to unlock and they’re not to hard.
easiest way to destroy the boats with the AT Rockets, is go after the landing boats. It takes 2-3 rockets and you can destroy them when no one is on them since it is an active spawn point as long as they are there. I finished that part in one match.
B and C flags on Fao Fortress (drive boat onto the land to cap) and E flag on Empire's Edge are the only flags that I can think of that are cappable by boat in the vanilla game at the moment and there is that one Russian map that has a lot of flags which are cappable via boat. The "kill X soldiers swimming" is probably going to be the harder one to do without gaming the system as most people tend to avoid getting in the water if they can help it.
I think this was the first time a saw a full team of medics actually do their job. I switched back to the old maps and was like ohh this is what i remember as 3 just ran by.
I never realised about the vehicle multi kills with the scout haha, I just used the incendiary tripwire bombs plus gas because everyone seems to run around in large groups.
i got one multi kill as a scout by destroying a behemoth with a k bullet,one multi kill by shooting through two peoples heads and one by destroying a tank with a tripwire bomb
Pickatjau me too won’t be getting the season pass for the next Battlefield. Might not even get the game. Loved Battlefield 1 when it came out but it took so long for dlc to come out and the game just got boring waiting and waiting.
I dont like the french dlc but the russian dlc has been fun and enjoying the new guns too. I might not buy the premium again but I dont regret buying this one as it is getting better but definitely agree that they took their time with the first dlc and it wasnt even worth the wait in my opinion.

no, it would be very unbalanced. Mouse and keyboard players have a massive advantage over joypad/console players. Mouse is far more accurate than analogs sticks. We would be butchered! It could be funny though....
nah its a fair question, some games are played between console and pc, but as i said shooters would be unbalanced so its avoided. Its also the same reason they wont let you use a mouse and keyboard on a console for shooters but you can use them on other games.
Thanks. Very informative for the pro gamer like myself. So the map you want to capture flags within a boat is most definitely Albion from the Russian DLC. A few of its flags are within boating reach. If I’m not mistaken flag C is the easiest.
Just got the naval cutlass, go to fao fortress and try to capter A B C or G in a boat, then go to Albion and try to get 15 enemies slipping in the water.
I've got all the new weapons except the Naval Cutlass. That one is going to take some time. I found playing on Albion from In The Name Of The Tsar to be much better for getting the AT rocket boat kills as well as Scout multi kills using K-Bullets on the boats trying to cap C or moving in on A and such. Good maps to cap flags in boats... Fao Fortress, Empire's Edge, Albion. In fact I think those are the only ones atm.... And worse than that, on Empire's Edge only 1 flag can be done that way, E, 3 flags can be done that way on Fao Fortress, G,B,C, and lastly on Albion C and I believe F or G, but it requires you ground your boat on land and HOPE nobody is coming for you. I suppose it could be possible on B as well, maybe even A. The kills while swimming is going to be the hard part... I've found on Cape Helles, if you play hardcore and you're on the Ottoman side, get on those machine guns at A, start wrecking incoming boats, people will bail and that gives you a good chance to accomplish that goal. Likewise, being on Fao Fortress if in a good place you can smack incoming boats depending on if you're the Ottoman or British coming at the fort, people will bail when it gets hit hard.
I hope the maps are fun. New guns and stuff is cool but the most important thing are the maps. Thats where the magic happens for me. We need more gun emplacements and stuff to blow up.
The island map from in the name of the Zar has a point you can cap from a boat also the map has a lot of water in between points to try and kill those people whilst they are swimming.
When you point at a player who needs to be revived and it indicates it with arrows.. is that informing other players or the individual player who is downed that help is on the way?
i will unlock the naval cutlass when the other two maps launch in january, I already saw capture points near water, and you can also get it unlocked if you play empires edge or fao fortress
Thank god they changed the assignment for the maschinpistole, the original was 50 kills with the trench carbine. But the trench carbine was get 25 headshots with the automatico and 5 multikills. Ribeyrolles flashbacks, anyone?
I have battlefield premium on Xbox one x and can't play the DLC, downloaded the 6-7gb update and it's not showing up. It shows the maps conquest for it at home but says no results.
How I got the cutlass is that when I got on to Empire’s edge, I spawned on the boat, headed and captured the E flag (if captured), and repeated several times. Also how I got the 15 kills is by sniping in Albion.

It’s not that hard, get the Mg15 Suppressive and go on a map like Galicia. You just have to get the kill, not 100% of the damage. :)
The new 250 round MG might be able too help you out with that one! For me it's those goddamn trip wire kills, at 9 so far...

You can't use AA-canons, the assignment is literally to shoot down 2 enemy planes with a LMG.

I am halfway through the Browning and Farquhar Hill. In an hour of playing the new maps. Thank God they've changed the assignments

I went straight for the 1917 trench carbine. It was my favorite in the cte and it's still my favorite. It took me so long to get the 5 multikills because it takes forever to get 3 people together. Let alone having them be damaged enough to be killed by a grenade.
The scout multikills are kicking my ass -.- only gun I don't have.

hey what I thought for getting multikills is go on iron walls operation and get on the anti air as the scout and then wait for bombers, airship, attack planes to fly and if youre lucky you can get them in no time
Is it just me or does the Carcano really lacks in damage output?, I know it is one of the quickest bolt-actions but hitting enemies for 50-60 damage at a decent range is just silly for THE italian sniper. Fix this please Dice I wanna rock with an italian sniper-rifle, the Vetterli isn't that great eighter :(

My god the Infiltrator is so much fun to use! The air strike is brilliant, and the martini Henry grenade launcher is really bizarre. The weapons are really nice to unlock and they’re not to hard.
easiest way to destroy the boats with the AT Rockets, is go after the landing boats. It takes 2-3 rockets and you can destroy them when no one is on them since it is an active spawn point as long as they are there. I finished that part in one match.

B and C flags on Fao Fortress (drive boat onto the land to cap) and E flag on Empire's Edge are the only flags that I can think of that are cappable by boat in the vanilla game at the moment and there is that one Russian map that has a lot of flags which are cappable via boat. The "kill X soldiers swimming" is probably going to be the harder one to do without gaming the system as most people tend to avoid getting in the water if they can help it.
Make it 50-100 revives so medics really learn how to do their job!

I think this was the first time a saw a full team of medics actually do their job. I switched back to the old maps and was like ohh this is what i remember as 3 just ran by.

I never realised about the vehicle multi kills with the scout haha, I just used the incendiary tripwire bombs plus gas because everyone seems to run around in large groups.
What about the AA rocket gun ?
Jokes think it ended up being really overpowered so they either scrapped it or they’re reworking it for another DLC.

Pickatjau me too won’t be getting the season pass for the next Battlefield. Might not even get the game. Loved Battlefield 1 when it came out but it took so long for dlc to come out and the game just got boring waiting and waiting.
I dont like the french dlc but the russian dlc has been fun and enjoying the new guns too. I might not buy the premium again but I dont regret buying this one as it is getting better but definitely agree that they took their time with the first dlc and it wasnt even worth the wait in my opinion.

The browning doesn't feed from a box magazine, it's belt fed. The box is there only to hold the belt, nothing else.

no, it would be very unbalanced. Mouse and keyboard players have a massive advantage over joypad/console players. Mouse is far more accurate than analogs sticks. We would be butchered! It could be funny though....

nah its a fair question, some games are played between console and pc, but as i said shooters would be unbalanced so its avoided. Its also the same reason they wont let you use a mouse and keyboard on a console for shooters but you can use them on other games.
Thanks. Very informative for the pro gamer like myself. So the map you want to capture flags within a boat is most definitely Albion from the Russian DLC. A few of its flags are within boating reach. If I’m not mistaken flag C is the easiest.
Just got the naval cutlass, go to fao fortress and try to capter A B C or G in a boat, then go to Albion and try to get 15 enemies slipping in the water.
I've got all the new weapons except the Naval Cutlass. That one is going to take some time. I found playing on Albion from In The Name Of The Tsar to be much better for getting the AT rocket boat kills as well as Scout multi kills using K-Bullets on the boats trying to cap C or moving in on A and such.
Good maps to cap flags in boats... Fao Fortress, Empire's Edge, Albion. In fact I think those are the only ones atm.... And worse than that, on Empire's Edge only 1 flag can be done that way, E, 3 flags can be done that way on Fao Fortress, G,B,C, and lastly on Albion C and I believe F or G, but it requires you ground your boat on land and HOPE nobody is coming for you. I suppose it could be possible on B as well, maybe even A.
The kills while swimming is going to be the hard part... I've found on Cape Helles, if you play hardcore and you're on the Ottoman side, get on those machine guns at A, start wrecking incoming boats, people will bail and that gives you a good chance to accomplish that goal. Likewise, being on Fao Fortress if in a good place you can smack incoming boats depending on if you're the Ottoman or British coming at the fort, people will bail when it gets hit hard.

For the scout multi kills just use the M1903 experimental. I went 75 and 10 with it on Achi Baba
I hope the maps are fun. New guns and stuff is cool but the most important thing are the maps. Thats where the magic happens for me. We need more gun emplacements and stuff to blow up.
The island map from in the name of the Zar has a point you can cap from a boat also the map has a lot of water in between points to try and kill those people whilst they are swimming.

When you point at a player who needs to be revived and it indicates it with arrows.. is that informing other players or the individual player who is downed that help is on the way?
i will unlock the naval cutlass when the other two maps launch in january, I already saw capture points near water, and you can also get it unlocked if you play empires edge or fao fortress

Thank god they changed the assignment for the maschinpistole, the original was 50 kills with the trench carbine. But the trench carbine was get 25 headshots with the automatico and 5 multikills. Ribeyrolles flashbacks, anyone?

I have battlefield premium on Xbox one x and can't play the DLC, downloaded the 6-7gb update and it's not showing up. It shows the maps conquest for it at home but says no results.

How I got the cutlass is that when I got on to Empire’s edge, I spawned on the boat, headed and captured the E flag (if captured), and repeated several times. Also how I got the 15 kills is by sniping in Albion.

Mate I completed all the perk challenges, next to those challenges, these ones sound piss easy.
I got all multikills with the new elite class with two artillary callins. Unbelievably powerful.
