Went to the same concert yesterday, i thought the same for a while, the timing is wierd, but the guy is a academic jazz pianist and an organist, so I realized that his timing should be spot on, then I realized that perhaps it has to do with the nature of the instrument, both playing it and its function could possess challenges that make it impossible to be "mechanically" accurate, it bugged me for the first songs then I kinda got into the organ groove and it was beautiful in its own way, not headbanging groovy disco vibe just cool and kinda meditative

@@vortexqueen4178 No, music doesn't have to be perfect. There is no such thing. Interpretation is subjective to the listener. The fact this performer did an excellent job arranging a Daft Punk tune and performed it on a pipe organ is great. It's a fact that the very distinct syncopated rhythmic changes aren't completely in time as they are in the polished, crafted, produced electronic original. I understand stage fright: I've been performing music professionally for 15 years. I'm pointing out this observation for constructive criticism. I doubt the performer is 100% satisfied with this performance, but that is my opinion. I would love to hear a re-recorded version, maybe without an audience. Actually shed a tear at this, always thought Veridis Quo had a medieval ethereal quality to it. Just perfect and I wish I could play the pipe organ.
