It was good to see this video. My church from Wilmington NC went there the end of March. We stayed 2 nights at the hotel next door and only had breakfast. DELICIOUS!!! My Dad. who was a Navy man, called creamed chipped beef on toast SOS and never ate it after he came home. He said it was vile but I know some people love it. You guys have been to so many great places you need to do some "Best Of" lists. Either by location or type of food or sit down or buffet. That would help people visiting those areas.
My dad was in the Army & felt the same way about SOS, but I love it. However, we weren't forced to eat it because it was the only thing to eat. I'm sure that makes a difference.

I love scrapple! Also, next time you’re in the area, you should try a relatively new restaurant down the road “Agape”. They have an interesting menu, different from the typical Lancaster “Amish” fare. Last time there, I had a brisket club sandwich. Different, huge and delicious. Love all you videos!
The scrapple was overcooked pretty it looked like it was it’s best with butter and syrup but that piece did look dry amazing video as always and the breads all of them looked amazing

I was really surprised that they didn’t have fried cornmeal mush…. What a super clean place…. I love blueberry pancakes…Lots of a great selection…..I love breakfast…I can eat it 24/7…..Great review….By the way I love ham too.
I remember this place. I went there in 2007 or 2008 when the exterior was red. I did a double take because it looked so familiar and Googled it and indeed there are photos from when it was red. I remember stuffing myself to the brim and then afterwards you could have hand dished ice cream brought to your table and I got peanut butter ripple. Delicious food! Edited to add, if memory serves me there was an awesome big shop there and I bought some moccasins.☺️
I stayed in the hotel and ate breakfast here years ago. I still remember it for having the best sausage I’ve ever eaten! Thanks for your videos…always entertaining and informative.

nice video! the baked bread, whoopie pie looked amazing, scrapple I feel is an acquired taste, my neighbor use to share it with us after visiting her family in PA, they made ir on the farm, sliced thick, sauteed in butter topped with warm maple syrup,was delicious, we'd have it for lunch with biscuits on the side. thanks for another great video
John I am soooo Proud of you for trying the Scrapple!!!! Next time (yes I said next time) don’t get it at a buffet AND put Apple Butter on it. If you STILL don’t like it than you know for sure it’s not your cup of tea. It should be so crispy you can almost pick it up and eat it like a cracker. That breakfast buffet looked so good and it even included an omelet station. I love scrapple. Last fall when we traveled to Gettysburg and ate breakfast out I always made sure to order scrapple. It is not available here in the SE area of WV. It is really good with syrup on it.
Love their B-fast buffet, especially their Biscuits and Gravy, Makes me want to fill up one plate, Scrambled eggs, 2 kinds of Sausage ( Links & Patties) on the other plate. Yessir 😀😀😀😀😀😀
Scrapple fried crispy with syrup is really good. You guys really are awesome at these reviews, trying foods that may not be your cup of tea but tasting for us. Lol. Even John has tried a few veggies for us viewers.

John, I wouldn't use the scrapple you had at Hershey Farm Restaurant as a good example. To me, and I love good scrapple, it appeared to be over cooked and burnt. The next time you are in Intercourse PA pick up some of the scrapple at Stolzfus Meats. They make their own and it's very good. I think they make their own mush too.
Just looking at your food I don't think I would go there to eat. You have been to MANY places that looked better and they made my mouth water. This one didn't. Can't imagine how that happened.
Unfortunately, just before noon today a fire broke out in the kitchen of the restaurant. News crews spoke to workers who said all employees got out safely. The restaurant was not open at the time. Live shots show the fire spreading quickly. It appears to have very heavy fire damage. It is so sad because your video showed it to be a beautiful attraction. Hopefully they can rebuild.
i used to love scrapple until i learned that it was all the parts of the pig that no one wanted to eat. when i found little hairs sticking out of it, and this was way before the internet, i asked what was in it. you dont want to know, lol.

Also, next time you go into a Sheetz store- they sell "Gobz". Similar to whoopee pies & they have a chocolate cake with peanut butter filling. It helps with those cravings I get from childhood! Everytime you say "we grew up eating this", I'd swear we lived in the same house! Lol!
Just read Hershey’ Farm only open to those who are staying at the inn. …Hopefully it will be open all the way when I get out in July.😋 know it will be more $$. Recouping from the fire.
The restaurant is not open and if you stay there you still are not getting into the new part. They converted a couple rooms for the breakfast when it burnt so that’s where people are getting the breakfast. It might be open in July we have talked to them but no set date is out yet. 😎😎

when i go to lancaster annually, we typically stay overnight at the hershey farms inn, and whats great is a free breakfast buffet comes with it!

John, I wouldn't use the scrapple you had at Hershey Farm Restaurant as a good example.
To me, and I love good scrapple, it appeared to be over cooked and burnt.
The next time you are in Intercourse PA pick up some of the scrapple at Stolzfus Meats.
They make their own and it's very good. I think they make their own mush too.
We did a video from Stolzfus Meats loved that place. Didn't get the scrapple maybe I would like it from them. Thanks Dave. 😎😎
Just looking at your food I don't think I would go there to eat. You have been to MANY places that looked better and they made my mouth water. This one didn't. Can't imagine how that happened.

Unfortunately, just before noon today a fire broke out in the kitchen of the restaurant. News crews spoke to workers who said all employees got out safely. The restaurant was not open at the time. Live shots show the fire spreading quickly. It appears to have very heavy fire damage. It is so sad because your video showed it to be a beautiful attraction. Hopefully they can rebuild.

Also, next time you go into a Sheetz store- they sell "Gobz". Similar to whoopee pies & they have a chocolate cake with peanut butter filling. It helps with those cravings I get from childhood!

Just read Hershey’ Farm only open to those who are staying at the inn. …Hopefully it will be open all the way when I get out in July.😋 know it will be more $$. Recouping from the fire.
The restaurant is not open and if you stay there you still are not getting into the new part. They converted a couple rooms for the breakfast when it burnt so that’s where people are getting the breakfast. It might be open in July we have talked to them but no set date is out yet. 😎😎
