Female sparrowhawk killing a magpie - Glasgow Violence!

This was filmed in a very busy street in the east end of Glasgow, 14th August 2020, so quite surprising to see.
The sparrowhawk was definitely winning, but somehow the magpie managed to get free and they both flew in separate directions.
A neighbour spoke to me just after this, and said the sparrowhawk had also killed a pigeon earlier that day.

Dang, that was a tough fight! Somehow the magpie managed to break free, but how was that supposed to happen? To answer that question, that hawk wasn't even trying to win! It probably wasn't that hungry since it already caught the pigeon earlier. If it caught a smaller bird, the turnout would have been much different!
