Thinking of going away from iPad and iPhone , this is what I’m thinking of getting, I have a laptop, I rarely use and I’ve decide to go with a dumb phone so this will just be for stuff live movies , music basic browsing , would you recommend or should I look at something else
I'm not UT but the Fire Max 11 is a very capable everyday tablet and should more than meet your needs. As UT said though you really need to sideload the Google Playstore to unlock this tablets full potential. Sideloading the Google Playstore is not supported by Amazon though so if you run into problems Amazon will not help. With that being said I've had the Google Playstore on my Fire Max 11 for over a year with hardly an issue. Just google how to sideload the Google Playstore on the Amazon Fire Max 11 and follow the instructions (very easy btw) and it does wonders for the capabilities of this tablet.
I have a iPad mini 6 and the Kids Fire Tablet 10. With the kids you get no ads and a 2year no questions ask warranty The fire tablet is very glitchy most of the time a soft reset is necessary. I can’t imagine going back to Android tablets but this fire tablet keeps the itch at bay. I obey the rule “you’re only as good as your weakest point “. I refresh my fire tablet once the one year of Amazon kids subscription is over, which is included as well. Food for thought!
Bought the Fire Max 11 on an early Prime Day Deal in early July 2023 and I'm still pretty satisfied with it. You can't beat this tablet for $149 USD still imho. It's got a lot of limitations but you can get around most of them. Even when it's not Prime Day or Black Friday sales it goes on sale for 189 USD more than it's regular price of 229 USD. Not only that but most the time you can use Amazon's in-house 5 month interest-free financing so you're paying less than 50 USD a month (Not Affirm but Amazon's actual internal financing service.)for the tablet. Besides the Amazon App Store and low internal speaker volume I don't have issue with it. I actually use it more than my TV or PC now.
Yes. It was very easy to do as long as you followed the directions. As you said the Amazon Appstore is garbage and if you can't sideload the Google Playstore the Fire Max is just too limited.
@@green_bean_mean 60 or 30. The refresh rate is locked at 60 hz. so the max fps will top out at 60. The gpu chip on this SoC is pretty weak. It's just powerful enough to handle 1440p @60 TH-cam videos and that's it. Don't expect to run Genshin Impact @ 60 fps high settings. It will run @ 1080p low settings @30 fps though. The cpu is pretty good but the gpu isn't a good match. This is not a gaming tablet. It's more along the lines of a jack-of-all-trades tablet. It can do just about anything but it excels at nothing.
I would recommend mobile gamers to buy the 128GB if possible and then add the Google Play Store. I've had to get three different units and my current one still doesnt work as intended. The microSD card slot is crap and will burn your sd card if you stop using the tablet for a day or two, or just because it feels like it. Im currently trying to offload my tablet and get the 128GB, since i have the productivity bundle and don't feel like losing the money I spent on it. Older models of Fire Tablets never had an issue.
