Bambu P1S Unboxing, Setup and First Thoughts

- In this video, I, an average person (actually, very average), take a first look at the Bambu P1S 3d Printer. I have very limited experience with 3d printing and my last attempt a few years ago left me just feeling frustrated. I walked away then but I kept an eye on the scene and when Bambu labs started making some noise with innovative features and simplicity, I thought perhaps it was time to wade back in and see if things had gotten any easier.
I cover unboxing, assembly and first initial prints. Even though it was somewhat simpler than the previous printers I had tried, it was still more frustrating than I expected. Ironically, although I was trying to keep things simple by printing directly from the printer, I found out the hard way that Bambu had not configured the printer to print from the AMS that way. Their documentation has no mention of this.
Ultimately, I was able to get past my initial problems and produced several good first prints. A product like this can't be fully reviewed in one video so I'm going to continue using it over the next several months and will do check-ins as things either continue to work well or if things start failing.

Well I’ve just watched the video and I’m rather hoping you have by now realised that it was you, not the printer that was at fault. In the UK, we have a saying, “when all else fails read the user handbook”. Bambu provide excellent information. There are winkie’s on just about every subject.
Had you taken the time to look at the videos on unboxing and setting up, and then later on using the P1S, you’ve saved yourself all the frustration.
The pre sliced files are set for which AMS slot, all of them require filament to be loaded in slot 1 and for multi prints slots 1 and 2. If none is loaded you won’t be able to print sadly.
Just to be clear, you do want the desiccant to be in there to keep your filament dry, you just need to remove it from the plastic.
Also I really want one of these P1S's soon soon soon! Hopefully it works well for you
you put the spool holder upside down lol turn it the other way round or it will tar into the spool it self
I can only say WOW!!! Reading is not your Forte. Some people should not be trusted to work or play with things that have more than two moving parts. Just saying.
Echo that, in the UK we have a saying. “when all else fails, read the user handbook. Then you wouldn’t have had to all the hassle, have you put the rear spool holder, which you will in all likelihood never use, on the right way up.
