Hi, your video was a life saver for getting my vehicle into neutral. I’m Pervez and am based in Mumbai, India. Was just interested in how did you manage to get the “only cranking but no starting” issue resolved? I have the exact same issue and the BMW technicians are clueless here. Have sent it to the workshop twice already and the problem persists. Any lead will be much appreciated. Thanks.
If the engine don,t crank You can,t do that. 8 speed autommatik have a screw under the car ,if you screw down that screw you put the car in P position .
Yeah we always try to avoid doing that... one because its a tedious process where you have to crawl underneath, and two.. because the dealership reeeeeaaaaaally hates when you do that. hahaha.
ask any tow truck driver and they would probably all agree that ANY BMW over 80k miles is not worth the risk unless you are prepared to put a whole lot of money into it over time.

When my bmw x3 f 25 dont start ,my starter wose broke, I can't do that .

Hi my bmw 1 series is stuck on neutral but drive and reverse working only park not selecting..and the is no noisy sound or vibration

My 2010 x6 is doing this thing where I put it in reverse and it switches back into Park. What are some steps you suggest for that?
Could be a problem with the electronic transmission or a sensor. Sounds like an issue for the dealership or a certified repair shop unfortunately.
