That is why it is seemingly unaffected by heat differentials in the environment, which will (obviously) throw off thermal sensing equipment.
this is the thing what i love about predator movies, you can see the difference between a humans fighting/hunting techniques and a predators technique, humans are quite primitive with their fighting, and on the other hand the predator does it step by step sneakily

Well, to be fair, the Predator's bio mask was soaking up all the blows. It wasn't until Royce managed to knock it off of the Predator's face when he really started to hurt it.
Manages to cut his head off at the neck without catching any of the dreads... impressive. And half a dozen grenades going off in your face and not a scratch...

Did they really have to have a serial killer in a Predator movie? I mean were they trying to sneak a True Movies movie in as a subplot? I mean what's next an Alien movie with a subplot about Domestic Violence? Unless the serial killer was Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers that just seems wierd. Still an enjoyable movie though. More than the second one and the AVPs but the original is an action classic.
Well, yeah, why not? The whole premise of this movie was that the Predators were abducting dangerous killers from around the world and dropping them into a game preserve-type planet to hunt and kill. I don't understand why you find that "weird". It makes complete sense within the context of the plot. It's not like Edwin was a major focus of the movie and was killing the other survivors, turning it into a slasher film. He doesn't became a threat until the end.
Agent Prime the serial killer was there because they were all killers in some way, criminals, soldiers, mercenaries, and yakuza. and a serial killer and drug enforcer

Just when you think they are about to get killed, the predators would break into a double column line as their tribal leader would walk out to greet Isabel and Royce. The leader would remove his mask and reveal himself to be Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger from the first movie), who'd say "Not bad, kid. not bad at all." Arnold wasn't available for shooting at the time so it didn't happen.

Plus, Danny Glover and Adrien Brody killed Predators in hand to hand combat, I'm pretty sure anyone with half a brain would know Wolverine would make short work out of any Predator. Predators are shit, even Xenomorphs would kill them quickly.

The predator has a heat sensor. the fire was just to fuck the predator up in believe he's within the fire. He did use the mud to lower his body temp so that he can hide. Basic logic
No because he could then hide in different environments. He could be camouflage in cold areas and also in the fire. And he was also probably muddy from rolling around on the floor from fighting.

i liked Predator 2 because it was its own movie and it so underrated it needs more attention and it feels like Predators was almost like a remake to the original film and also the predators in this movie got killed so easily the city hunter predator in predator 2 which is my personal favourite look of Predator next to the Jungle Hunter Predator but anyway the City Hunter Predator got shot by Danny Glover I think like 9 times with the shotgun and it still kept going arm cut off still kept going the predators in this movie got nothing on the City Hunter Predator
At first, I really wanted to explode the Berserker into bits and pieces when he killed the Classic Predator but then I saw this scene and he just is starting to peak my interests.
Berserker is one of the strongest predators in predator history. His main goal is to kill all predators plus the emperor for no listening to him. So then he and his brothers teleported the humans on to there hunting planet to show there strong news and that they don't have any weakness.
those were 6 grenades... the predator was basically wearing no armor on it's body... it should have died but multiple fragments shooting out from the *6 GRENADES*
