    This has been a great slot car video, Marty. Yes, these Toyota GT One cars have a great balance. What you have done here is about the long and short of what I have ever tuned out of a Revo and I otherwise learned a new trick in terms of 'shimming' the removeable axle blocks - not that I suspect it will deliver much. The only remaining thing, perhaps, is to add some weight albeit these are already well distributed with the metal and low.

    • @twolinesslotcars

      I find that it depends on the model. I usually don’t have to add weight.. but with my group 2.. I added 2gr. In the right spot.. gained me a tenth and the car camps in the slot now!

      @@twolinesslotcars Thanks Marty. Yes, it is always a balance because too much weight slows things down. 'Playing' slot cars is really just fishing for 'the sweet spot'. As 'hunter gatherers then I just guess that's what we're 'programmed' to do :)

    Marty, I have run my REVO cars with and without the guide spring but the REVO guide post holder is designed to allow the thickness of the spring. Removing the spring gives the guide post inside the guide holder a slight left to right movement which you may not want. Some drivers have developed a collar that can go over the guide post to reduce the left to right movement. Or you can still run the guide with spring and screw down the guide so that you have no up and down movement.

    • @twolinesslotcars

      Thanks John! Great info to know.. yes, I left the spring in place, just tightened the guide down to not allow the float up and down…

    Great tuning tips, Marty. Funny about those Revo brass nuts. I've backed off on a few of them to adjust chassis and lost them on the track. I usually use small square of electrical tape. Just got the Porsche 911 Quadri livery. Out of the box testing today!😊

    Marty, Now that you have 4 lanes, do you run digital much? If so, does it require a lot of switching of power components to go back and forth between the two?
    Thanks for your channel. I get alittle different perspective from all you guys who have slot car channels.

    • @twolinesslotcars

      We have not run a lot of digital since we went 4 lanes.. the only thing I have to do is swap out the straight next to CU. I plan to finish my wiring box so I can just flip a switch.. but it is going to take a little work. We run digital when the family races. Still so much fun!

    Hi Marty, I picked up one of these cars and I’m running Carrera digital. This is my first non Carrera car. This car is slower than all of my Carrera cars because it doesn’t do well in the turns. I have replaced the tires with super tires silicon, which helped some. I have also replaced the guide with the deep guide including sanding it down some. I also added a little weight to the car. Do you have any other tips to help this car handle the turns better? I want this car to turn the best lap times but it’s currently the worst.

    • @twolinesslotcars

      Jim, silicon tires like a clean track. There is no magnet, so if your Carrera cars still have magnets in them.. they will drive the corners better. You can always add a magnet to your revoslot.

    • @jimjanson8548

      @@twolinesslotcars Marty, I wipe down my track before I race so it’s pretty clean. The car came with a magnet so I put that as far back in the car as I could. Is this about as good as it’s going to get?

    • @twolinesslotcars

      @@jimjanson8548 Jim, you might try to moving the magnet just in front of the motor. I don’t run magnets in my analog cars. Getting the magnet closer to the track will help too. If you have room on the bottom of the chassis.
