There are 2 versions of the Closed Impetus, both being International.
    1. Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD)
    2. World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF)
Every step is the same up to and including the 3rd step, which is "Left Foot to the side and slightly back".
ISTD adds a 4th step which is the "Right Foot back". WDSF does not include the 4th step.
Egils and Sveta are performing the ISTD version.
Which version is more accepted Internationally? - both, ...but a couple cannot use either one in any competition, such as ISTD version is not accepted in the WDSF competition and visa versa.

Well, is anyone banned by doing both versions in both federations then?

      Banned?
Not that I know of, but for competitions at lower levels, stick with the discipline the competition represents. It is in the higher levels that variations are allowed, so maybe there both versions are usable.
