Not only that, but The Rider's body language during this entire fight really gives off a cold, smug superiority on his part. It's clear to see when he successfully dodges The Flames attacks in a cutscene. Instead of rolling out of the way or anything like that, The Rider makes a point of staying completely still before zipping out of The Flame's line of fire, like he's trying to tell him that after everything he's been through while escaping, he's miles below him now. The brutal way The Rider finishes him off as well as taking a moment to look at the shock and disbelief on his face before obliterating him with his pistol is honestly kinda concerning.
Exactly. While the Guardians were killed by simply being pierced by the Stranger's sword, the Flame was completely obliterated by the Stranger's pistol. Now that you talked about the Rider's body language, I'm almost believing that the Rider TRULY hate the Flame, for some reason... or maybe the Rider wanted to end with the Flame quickly, since he is stopping him from continuing his mission.
@@lolrus5555 I mean *to be fair,* he's frustrated at this point in his journey as well. This was possibly his last fight before deciding on fighting The Star depending on if there were more traps waiting for him ahead (which obviously we know and he doesn't.) And since this is someone whom he's fought, is familiar with and can more handily take down, of course he's gonna emit some sort of exuberance about the fight or take some sort of joy from it. Let's not forget, he's practically a soldier, either because he was the best or because he was *identical* to the other Riders, he was chosen to go to this planet. Alone. We don't get to see any of the events that happened between these two, but the bad blood The Flame has is indicative that they had somewhat of a rivalry, at least in his eyes. After getting captured on basically a glorified recon mission and escaping with brute force, spiting one of your former foes as he attempts to prevent you from proceeding with your decision despite not knowing what ridiculous feat you may be willing to pull off to save his planet. To be fair to him, he doesn't know this decision, and The Rider can also just choose to allow the planet to be assimilated, but regardless of which choice The Rider will make its definitely a frustrating scenario to be faced with. I can't say I blame him *that much* for toying a little bit with a foe during a scenario that has so many layers of complex emotions and thoughts going on at once but that's just my take.

The Flame basically smacks Rider around a lot. When you lose the Voice says something about the Flame being history, and Rider has already beaten him before. Sorry this isn't more precise, it's been a while since I've seen all of this.
