I was wondering recently about his wife's comments about him being a 'sensitive' individual. It would make a lot of sense that it reflects his wife's rationalizing his personal insecurities. The way he taunted Jack in RDR2 definitely speaks to a person rotten to his core.
Also, on a side note, I think the freeze frames at certain moments are good, but they might need a vignette/letterbox or some kind of effect just to make it clear that it's intentional (I kept thinking it was my computer bugging).

I don’t think Ross saying John murdered hundreds is an oversight by rockstar. Knowing how insecure and spiteful he is of John, I think he’s willing to call the hundreds of outlaws, gang rivals, innocent just to demonize John. Ross only sees those lives as disposable human lives that disrupt his way of life that being society. His view of John is personal for all the reasons listed in the video.
Besides, all the cops, local lawmen, former gangs, outlaws, Mexican rebels/army, and other people he might’ve killed likely would’ve added up to a couple hundred. John’s just killed so much that he’s desensitized to it so that’s why he doesn’t distinct his killings from murder, to self defense, or to anything else.
