Thank you for making this video, it was a huge help when trying to decide whether we would benefit from using this card. Is it worth the high fee? Answer for us - it sure is and I don't think we even travel a huge amount compared to others! The AccorPlus membership alone (which I had never heard of before) has given us access to discounts of $800+ value for a 5 day trip to Sydney we have coming up. We will also be make good use of the two annual $150 dining credits as we enjoy eating out. Very happy new Amex customer :)

Pleased to hear it; yes, value does exist and this card offers it to those who are prepared to pay the annual fee. Our Accor Plus review www.moneyhub.co.nz/accor-plus-review.html has additional tips!

Asking for families who want to earn Airpoints from what they're already paying for each week/ month - high grocery bills, significant power bills, petrol costs. Which credit card could be most beneficial or could you create a video relevant to families who want to pay their monthly living costs budget straight onto the best return credit card? Especially Airpoints earning.

Good question - we think www.moneyhub.co.nz/best-credit-card-rewards.html sums it up with the different options.

I've been using this card for the last 2 years and its the best card I've ever used. I think I read about it first on the moneyhub website. I had a nice 200k sign up bonus which got me a one way biz class flight to Singapore straight away worth about $4k or so and essentially covers 3 years of annual fee ( if you intend on flying business normally that is ). I find the Accor membership particularly useful with good discounts on hotel rates. Accor points accrued give you even further discounts after that. You can also link the Accor account with Qantas so you get Qantas points every time you spend with Accor. The insurance was disappointing though, I had a trip booked and paid for in advance and there were a lot of flight cancellations and changes. Chubb refused cover as the cancellations happened prior to the trip and not once the trip began which in my opinion was a bit ridiculous. Lucky I had doubled up with another insurance company and they paid out my claim. The gold card seems good too but i don't mind paying a slight premium for this one as the benefits are unique. Slightly disheartening to see that the benefits on offer here are pale in comparison to what you get in the states ( 5 x on groceries and 10 x on flights, 1:1 point transfers ).
    Love your videos.

Great to hear this - pleased you made a decision you're happy with and the card, but the insurance doesn't sound good - not good at all. Thanks for sharing.
