My first time ever flying business class is with Singapore airlines from Melbourne to Shanghai via Singapore. Having to watch this video made me feel more excited to get an Amex so the next time I do purchase another business class or premium tickets, it’ll be redeemed using my Amex membership points!!! Great video mate👌🔥
Thanks Ray 👍 keep the videos coming. I watched your Amex vids and now have a platinum card on the way 😅 Now I need to learn in real time how to use it correctly.
Glad you like them! Platinum card is an awesome card with great benefits. This video will hopefully help you maximise the value you get out of it! th-cam.com/video/9vqJkWPzlm4/w-d-xo.html
Another great video full of useful information. So it makes me think that I shouldn't have my Amex points automatically transferred to velocity every month.
How would I know which partner to choose? Seems like such a hassle to go through researching each one right before I want to travel. Honestly I wish they would just partner with United like chase 1:1.
Awesome thanks for sharing mate. Any tips if you think Kris Flyer is superior if offering more reward seats? If I should dump all my Amex points across to Kris flyer before Oct 4th?
Hey mate, this is hard to say as it really depends on where you plan to fly to. One thing I can say for sure is that the taxes you have to pay are always low.
Thanks for another very helpful video. I have a question, 2 amex pointa per dollar is better than 1 qantas point per dolar spent ? 2 amex points per dolar is better than 1.25 qantas dollar spent ?
Amex points can only be transferred to Qantas if you have the platinum card. These will be transferred at a rate of 2:1. So 1.25 Qantas points per dollar spent is better than 2 amex points.
I think once you reach a certain amount of points with one specific program, there are diminishing returns of continuing to accumulate them. So in my opinion you get way more value being across multiple programs
If I understand your question correctly, you can only transfer points across to a frequent flyer account holder of the same name. So if you and another person each have AMEX points, you can't pool them together to one account.
This is so helpful! I always found getting AMEX points such a grind, this makes things much easier!
Glad it helped!

Glad you found it useful! Yes probably best to accumulate them and then decide later what you'd like to do with them based on your travel plans.

Just discovered you. Love it. Appreciate more AMEX hacks
Glad you're finding the videos informative! Definitely more videos to come in the future
Amazing video, I took on some very useful tips, thank you for sharing Ray 😊
Glad it was helpful!
We don't have the gold card in Australia?
Is Amex points more valuable or qantas points? So confused

Great video! Can you do one on Qantas points?😊
Hey mate glad you enjoyed the video! I've got quite a few videos talking about Qantas already check out my playlist if you havent already!
Do you get more value by putting all your eggs in the Qantas basket? But with reduced flexibility?

Hmmm. I'll follow this guy

in US , its 1 to 1 ratio, and only $12-15 usd fee.
Australia is too expensive.
