Rules Edit: 35:00 Relics of Cadia: - Is a once per turn use - I'm pretty sure in T3 i used it twice 41:50 (second use) and only realized on the 3rd attempt that it was, in fact, once a turn. 38:15 - I get confused and the text on the screen stating that I would get Piercing with Elimination Pattern is invalid because... I didn't play it - the piercing crits is just from the Hot Shot Volley Guns normal profile. Can only get 1 torment a turn with the gambit mutation. Disengaging from a blessed blade is d3+1 MWounds which is a lovely little buff
At 53:20, you also swap from focused to sweeping to hit mind witch. I *think* this would be illegal, since he declared the ploy on the attack with focused, you should not be able to change it after. (However, since you are playing a friendly game, I would also allow this)
@@zit1432 Haha yeah when Iedited this I was like that was a bit unfair but in the game I hadn't actually realized that the volley gun had 2 profiles as it was my first time looking at the rules so I think Chris was being generous
30:49 - does the meltagunner have a Conceal order when performing the Cover Retreat free shot? Is there a rule at play that I don't see that allows for that?
I like the top down view for understating what’s happening and also appreciate the close up view during attacks and such for a nice cinematic point of view, well done!
Thanks! Some of the best value reports on TH-cam, I'll watch all you throw at us. I don't think you can jump from one building to the other, you have to climb the rampant roof 2" then jump 4" and clear the other rampart. I played on the same map and it didn't look like we could do it but it is a really cool move. Could be that your bases are smaller and it works, i don't know. Next time we'll put the buildings closer just to be able to jump from one to the other because we think it should be possible just for coolness.
Rule errors: - You can mutate only one torment per turning point - If you disengage against a Blessed Blade, you got 1D3+1 damage (So Melta would have been dead anyway)
I've only seen 2 battle reports with Chaos Cults in the new edition on youtube, and in both games the Chaos Cult playing mutated more than 1 torment per turn. This is exactly why I can never trust people's opinions on team balance in Kill Team - rules mistakes everywhere

Thanks for the match! If it's not too much of a hassle could we get more cards and text showing what faction equipment does when you select it? I imagine most of us don't watch this with the app open and in hand and don't have equipment memorized beyond the ones we ourselves play, but would love to learn!
Yeah, Ive not revisited all the teams to know if anything like elite points/Faith points have survived. I like the hitting on 3's now and the 3APL leader is a nice touch. I confess though i didn't play them much last edition to know if they're better now, they WERE elite killers last ed and this ed is Elite city so you'd think they're in a good spot but it doesn't appear to be that way. Are you using them in KT24?
@@GFNGaming It's not really about being stronger or not, I look at it from the point of view of player agency, decisions and choices - how interesting they are to play. Handing them stat buffs on a silver platter may have a similar effect on how strong they are, but is so much less interesting than handing player a flexible tool to practice with, experiment and master.
@@GFNGamingthey’re not great this edition b/c all their rules have conflicting conditionals. You want to play them within 3” of enemies, but also 6” away, and you want to be shooting expended Ops, but also Ops that haven’t activated yet, but also their weapons ignore cover, but get bonuses for shooting enemies who are already out of cover. @GFNGaming yeah, another cool trick you can do when you are outnumbered with kasrkin is to leave you comms on engage, then if you get to counteract you can boost APL of a 3rd guy 😎
Ahh that was a reposition i just misspoke in the edit, you fight first if you are fighting from inside the building and the opponent is outside - part of the Volkus terrain rules
