32:00 Tanked Up isn't like the usual +1 APL from comms, it lasts until the start of the next activation, so the +1 remains after the activation ends, and you can use the boosted APL to contest objectives.
I love that actual batrep channels started getting review copies and not just "talk youtubers". High effort well rewarded! EDIT: 12:10 none of the models would get benefit of smoke since you have to be wholly within and your bases are bigger than 1 inch.
As always your vids are just the best of the best! From quality, to voiceover, to theme and fun - you've set a new standard!! I do hope we get to see the little runts in future match-ups where they, if the emperor wills it, will have better dice rolls since that heavily influenced their efficiency :D
Just found the channel today as i pre ordered this set today and was looking for battle reports on it. What a great video! Clear talking and crisp video work, love you can actually see your dice rolls, unlike other channels were its hard to see the numbers. To top it off the editing and movement markers are pro. Will be spam watching all the videos now, great work gentlemen.
At 33:06 you used the ammo crate to snipe the wrecka boy, then you mention using the ammo crate again when the Spotter targets the big hammer guy at 38:25. Ammo crate can only be used by one operative per turning point. "An operative cannot perform this action while within control range of an enemy operative, if that marker isn’t yours, or if that marker has been used this turning point."
@@jakobflops cheers, yeah was a mistake we know it's one use per turning think it comes up in a later turn and we put a note in the video to say this at the time but cheers 👍🏻
Had the pleasure of playing against Ryan at the recent deadwood tourney and confirm those dice are not fun, can remember twice where he rolled max crits, so I did laugh on that squig roll 😅 I enjoyed the bat rep, been excited to see the orks in action, I want to love them but I'm not sure after seeing the data cards and this gave me a glimmer of hope 😁
38:05 can ratlings actually draw line of sight from their heads to targets on the ground? They're so damn short I'd expect they can't really see over the walls...
@@eftyextenebra1837 this is actually very valid, you really have to position with this in mind. I think they probably should've have more built up bases but the reverse is also true so you can be nicly hidden I guess
Your missing a Ratling Sniper in the rules the Asterisk on the Ogryn and Bullgryn imply taking those operatives costs you your free Ploy, sense you only took two Ogryn you can have a free strategic ploy and a Sniper because you need 10 Operatives plus your 1 Fixer for a total of 11 operatives.
@@danielcook2794 It's just the normal way cover lines work, So he's outside of 1'" from the heavy from the ratlings perspective but within 1'' to also take a cover save 👍 I could've removed with another inch or so movement but 5'' ratling movement meant I couldn't get clear los
Actually this was legitimately an issue getting true LOS sometimes 😬 need a generous opponent, or really they should've had built up bases to make them tall enough to see over the terrain 😂
@@GFNGaming I mean like a Rules standpoint not from the production standpoint (which is fantastic). Primary Ops are picked as a Gambit during the TP1 Strategy Phase. If both people Pass without doing it, you wouldn't have one. It's a minute detail and I guess in the grand scheme pointless because we can just assume each player does it as their first Gambit back and forth and skip the verbalization. The only reason it occurred to me was because you guys are quite thorough and specifically said you're doing your free Ploys and nothing else. Sorry for Lawyering it, wasn't my goal to gotcha or anything like that. Half this game IME is parsing GW's rules writing. As to the question, personally, I would like to see them from the go as the spectator. I think that could lend to understanding the intention of moves and choices made before they're revealed to the opponent.
I feel bad for people trying to get Wrecka Krew. It looks like it is going to make two different Ork units in normal 40k. Even when it releases by itself I bet it will be hard to find for awhile.
@@GFNGaming Oh! My (and some other people's) interpretation of the rule is that you get the free ploy if you don't run an ogryn, but it still let's you run a ratling in its place. So always 11 operatives, sometims with meatheads sometimes with free ploys! Could definitely be wrong though, I hope they clarify it in the near future
Oh interesting, so you think the team could be full ratlings with 3 free ploys at 11 operatives. Its the same rule as the brood brothers rule i think but i don't think it was clarified there. It'll be based on the interpretation i guess. I might try to ask to clarify
@GFNGaming It is worded differently. It says instead of selecting, not instead of taking like previous kill teams. The choice is not between an ogryn or a ratling between an ogryn or a ratling and 4cp. That is how the choice isn't as obvious.
Since the Nob is on a 40mm base and the Rokkit boy is on a 32mm base, I don’t think either wholly within that Smoke in turning point one based on where you put those tokens.
The latest interpretation I've seen of Smoke Grenade is that it creates a circle 1" horizontally from the edges of the marker, essentially 25.4mm+20mm+25.4mm (markers are 20mm wide). Otherwise Smoke Grenades are worthless for over 70% of the units in the game and entire kill teams (anything Astartes, for instance) can never benefit from them.
I think that wrecka points cannot be used on the same attack they were generated, like u can use an already generated point but not the one you just generated with a crit in that same attack
turn your audio down then? its roughly the same volume as the talking as i can hear it through the dice roll so either you're being dramatic or you need to turn your audio down, either way it seems like a you problem

Great bat rep! Those ork saves were insane, i think it would have been a different game if those dice rolled less than 4 at least once 😀
