    Love your sewing makes. It’s amazing isn’t it how our sewing improves. Like you I often hand baste ,saves time in the long run and I find it gives a bit more confidence when doing trickier bits of garments.

    Your Dovestone dress is so beautiful. I love Melanie Ham's tutorials, she was fantastic. She sadly passed away last year 😢 but left behind her beautiful tutorials for us to continue on. I was very upset when I found out, so, so sad as loved her vlogs. Your Saltwater slip looks great on you, as does everything you make 😊 Lisa x 🇦🇺

    Nice video, Cath. You always have nice makes and great reviews. Loved your husband's pouch in that fabric. Perfect solution for his new razor. I just clicked on the link for the pouch and it was bittersweet to see that it was a tutorial from Melanie Ham who passed away several years ago. She was the very first TH-camr I ever followed and she had some excellent videos and projects. She is missed. I'm so glad I clicked.

    I love bias cut garments bc they usually drape so beautifully. You should give it a go sometime. Love your cozy jacket. It’s really a “looker”. Can’t beat the Ogden Cami and the remake of your skirt is really fine. Your sewing has taken on a definite professional look. And I always love viewing your makes.

    I spilled tea on 2 dresses while I was sewing yesterday. One was viscose and colorful. I sewed it up yesterday and washed it today. It is fine. The other is a pink linen. I rinsed it with water and laid my pattern pieces out to dry overnight. It is visible but not terrible. I am hoping to finish sewing it today and wash it tonight. I have never spilled anything before so I was upset. The fabric was a gift so I hope it comes out. Hope your bleach stain isn’t too bad.

    • @madebycathcraft
      @madebycathcraft  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh no! I hope the stain comes out of your pink linen dress. It’s so disappointing when fabrics get stains isn’t it! Especially after all of the hard work sewing.

    Hi Cath! Good to see you again. I’ve never made my husband a pouch but I immediately thought that he needs one. As soon as you mentioned changing the size I remembered that he needs a travel bag for toiletries. This is on my list now! He goes to the gym and his things are shoved into a backpack. I’ve seen him rummaging around in the pack. I’ll be a hero! Thank you! 😄 See you soon.

    Great vlog. Thanks for the blog on the Didi, Yours looks lovely. I had just received the same fleece in the black and tan. Looking forward to making it up. Did you also grade the front and back and the sleeve pattern pieces to fit into the band and cuff after you had widened them?

    • @madebycathcraft
      @madebycathcraft  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you very much. I didn’t grade the main body/sleeve pattern pieces. I widened the cuffs and band as they were designed for fabrics with more stretch than my sherpa fleece so I felt I needed to widen them to make them fit better with the existing size of the other pattern pieces

    Hi Cath, great vlog. Love all your makes. I made the Camden without the waistband. I have actually bought orange needlecraft to make another one a waistband ! Thank you for all your info on sizing. What height would your saltwater suit ?

    • @madebycathcraft
      @madebycathcraft  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you very much. The Camden skirt is a lovely pattern isn’t it! I love it in needlecord.
      I am 5’6 and I didn’t adjust the length of the Saltwater, I think if you were shorter you might need to shorten it a bit as it’s on the longer length of midi for me I’d say. If you were a bit taller it might be fine at that length still, just a slightly shorter midi length. Hope that helps

    Cath, I have a question for you. How do you launder your lined skirt? I made a new pinafore that is cotton/wool blend with polyester lining for the bodice. I preshrank all the fabric before I sewed it, but now I wonder how to launder it successfully! Little late, I know!! Your experience with laundering lined garments would be greatly appreciated!😊

    I’m planning on sewing up the DiDi but worried the collar will be too wide. Do you think it would be easy to modify that? I like the zip detail on yours and that’s a good tip to add non stretch tape. Very cute!

    • @madebycathcraft
      @madebycathcraft  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I think it would be easy enough to modify the Didi collar. It’s cut as one long piece that you fold over so you’d need to take a slice out of the middle and then I guess just use a shorter zip but then it should sew up just the same I think.
