Absolutely this is the best review I’ve ever seen for this product. I already bought the jug, and i will buy a third party water pump, not dometic cuz of the high price. May i ask which size i have to get for the CPC quick-connect fitting? So i can install them on the aftermarket pump.

I think from memory they are 6mm or 1/4". It may be a matter of weighing up the costs versus simplicity. I do understand that it can be costly. In this industry, some things seem so insanely expensive versus the benefits and the number of times you use them. Fortunately, I use the jug and pump every time and live in the vehicle. Coupled with the relatively slow delivery of water from the pump, which can be frustrating at a few certain times, I actually save a lot of water compared to when I used to tip water from a jug.

Nice review👏👏couple of questions… is the jug insulated for keeping the water cold? And have you tried to use the jug laid on its side on horizontal position when using the faucet? Does it work fine?

The jug isn't insulated, but I keep my jug inside a cheap, insulated supermarket (woolworths) bag for protection where i can. I have had it inside two bags for extra protection. This method could serve as insulation for storing cold water. It wouldn't be for long, though. The opening is big enough to allow for some decent sized ice blocks to help keep liquid cool.
I haven't used the faucet when the tank is in the horizontal position, but as long as you don't overfill past the bleed valve it should be okay.
