    Great looking product! I can’t believe they overlooked having a built in metal plate on the top of the go jug for the faucet to stick to. What a glaring oversight!

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not a combo I would personally do - I guess that's why the metal plates are provided, so you can stick them anywhere & gives the individual the option. If you want to stick one on the Go Jug, you absolutely could!

      @@SnowysOutdoors it’s crystal clear they intend them to be used together. The jug has the built in connection for the faucet. The simple fact is they missed the boat not having a plate built in and ready for the faucet. In addition it’s not a good idea to screw one to the top of a plastic container.

    For 10 years already, USB-C standard is available, yet the designers decided to go somewhere to the basement or after market, to dig-up some arcane micro USB connectors. Unbelievable, I have already tossed away all micro-USB cables. What a let-down. 😞

    • @SnowysOutdoors

      They are changing over, still a few micro USB around, I wouldn't call them archaic... yet. ~ Ben

      @@SnowysOutdoors In an IT world, 10 years of ignoring new standards, needs to be called archaic. It definitely needs to be reflected in product reviews. And to be honest, just go and read Dometic video reactions - out of 10 reactions something like 6-7 complaint about the lack of USB-C. Users actually do care about interoperability and simplyfying their lives. I have e.g. returned my family bikes lights, as local dealer deleted Micro-USB from the specs - not willing to tolerate this stuff further.

    This is such a terrific product. ❤❤👍👍 Just what I need. I was just looking at one of those 12V all-in-one portable water pump in a pack. But they're bulky and weigh more. I don't have any more room in my 4WD nor need extra weight. So glad I didn't buy one yet. But this portable tap is compact & lightweight. Perfect to use with my 20L jerrycan, anywhere.👌 Quick question, if the hose is extended (so that it'll reach the bottom of a 20L jerrycan) will this impact it's performance (ie. pressure)?

      It can happen with a range of food safe plastic water recepticles, and depends on the person wether or not its an issue.
      In this case its the hose - try bicarb and lemon, or raspberry cordial.

      Depending on the temperature the unit would likely fare ok but it could soften the hose and result in it coming off, so just wrap a cable tie around the end of the hose where it slips on to the nub on the unit. Wouldn't run super hot water through it for long just to be gentle on the electrics.

      @Rossi 21 well it depends on the suction side of the pump, i.e its suction head. Such a small pump with 1 Liter a minute can't suck water from an infinite depth.

      @dx80cruiser ปีที่แล้ว

      @Rossi 21 I just don't know why they don't provide the information. Most pump suppliers do. I guess it is aimed at a very specific customer who is willing to pay over $200 for a 1 litre per Min pump and a 11litre jug combo. Far better solutions out there

There is no need to get arky, I am interested in all thing a camping, and never forget these are ads, so it is good to have a dialogue about new equipment especially for those new to camping. 1l/min is very slow, that's 15sec to fill a 250ml glass, it's good for people understand this, and that quoted figure is probably ideal conditions.
