I did the Barry way which is a single lane dirt road down the side on Mount Kosciuszko in the pouring rain on the stock Pirelli tyres fully loaded. I was actually amazed I didn’t fall off but it took all my energy. With the wide tyres and the heaviness of the bike it’s never going to be great off road bit it will go places that a traditional touring bike won’t go. I find it a good compromise as it’s on-road performance is excellent.
I have a 2019 950s multi......did you notice any adverse effects on the bike after taking it off road? i know most people say to keep the ducati on road.....and have considered getting the new Norden 901.....but I really like the Duc for on road and am happy with the 950.......although I would like to ride a 1260 lol .............also what GPS mount are you using?
Hi ED! Actually not. I don't have the S model, so setting up the suspension was kinda long process and there are not that many specialists out there. Good once! Having the Enduro pack on, I enjoy riding light off road (gravel and forest). I know the 950 can do more, but this is beyond my skills. The 901 is for sure a great bike! Not as sexy as the Multi - thought! As GPS mount I use the one from #iconicparts Super easy to install, good to adjust, and of good build quality. Just a thought, the new Desert X could be my new favorite...... Safe Rides!
Evotech have cool gps mounts as well. The desert x, in my opinion is a little bit to off road focus. I think the Norden 901, currently, is the best of both worlds tarmac and dirt. Seen a norden live, and it didn’t look so good like on the videos!
