me and mate, done aweeks ride in1974, went down the south coast to lands end, and back home along the north coast, with just a sleeping bag and a sheet of polyetheen fix across the two bikes. we done our cooking using open fires. thanks for this video, it brought back great memories of our adventures in the 70's.
And!!! We didn't have a petrol range displayed! Not even a fuel level. No flashing warnings. We set the trip to zero and knew how far we could go. Beyond that we turned the tap to reserve. So, not a negative from me. We are just spoiled now. I know. We went to France late seventies without tents. Just sleeping bags. Not sure if I would do that nowadays.
@@muppdog390went to Cornwall on our 250 2 strokes in 1976 the hot summer. Tent blew whilst putting it up over the cliff into sea. So we slept in our sleeping bags covered in polythene in covered bus shelters in villages. A local lady used to bring us some toast and a cup of tea and we washed in local swimming baths. Was so uncomfortable but at 17 never crossed our minds. A great thing to look back on. We never got moved on, caused no trouble, no litter and we were left alone. 1976 was so hot and beautiful weather no rain.
Well done to both of you. Ewa, you handled that like a pro! You have done so many miles on your journeys , more than most of us do in a few years. Experience is measured in time spent in the seat not in years! Great video guys 😊 ride safe 👍
Hiya, Great episode guys - I'd run from home on the Isle of Wjght just for the sausage roll in Newquay - the Voge is impressive so far - take care. SteveD
Very interesting and will be looking forward to seeing the longer term review. It was you who put me off Chinese bikes when some time ago you were on a local ride out and came across a young lad who had hit the kerb I think, and all the spokes had fallen out his front wheel 😮 said to myself then I’d never trust a Chinese bike again 😂
Another great vlog Rich and Ewa, that bike is begining to grow on me too now after watching all these videos. As far as the SW coast path goes, me and 14 mates walk a 4 day weekend every year on the SWCP, same weekend in June, and have just 70 miles of the 630 to do...... very tough in places to say the least 😊
Terrific episode guys very interesting on all accounts- fascinating local history. Off road and great biking routes. They should be paying you for such a positive review!
What a great way you two have taken these bike for a real test, not the standard boring review format everyone else does. Entertaining and interesting to hear about the new bike
That is ALOT of a bike with all the extras included: luggage, bars, radar, all heated, KYB, Pirelli tyres and sooo much more. All for £9k!!!! Serious contender in my eyes.
People tend to turn their noses up at Chinese bikes until you tell them that they make engines for BMW 850GS and 900F I believe amongst other parts. That area of Cornwall is where they filmed the series Poldark
Keyless is great, but for peace of mind when not on the bike or even when it's parked or in the garage, get a Signal Blocker Faraday case and put keys in that, when out have it on a Lanyard. Keep any spare keys in one too.
ACT Portugal on a ktm 1190 r and a couple of triumphs, it’s a great route but not in 5 days, you need eight minimum. Already been suggested but the off-road schools are great, the bmw is amazing, did it a few years back in prep for riding across Australia. Loving the vids by the way, relaxed and factual, good drills
Good to see some mining - my great grandfather was quite involved, even to the extent of being a founder of the London Metal Exchange. Me, as a Devon boy only went once to Cornwall,, a bit too foreign
hi guys, still really enjoying watching your vlogs ,very entertaining , that bike is quite impressive , time will tell . i had a 2021 africa twin for 2 years ,done just over 32k miles on it and had lots of things going wrong , in fairness honda sorted every thing except the frame rusting which pissed me off , i wasnt looking for a new frame but at least they could have touched it up , i now have a suzuki vstrom 1050 de which i love even after 17k miles , i walk away from it and have another look from a distance and i makes me smile , i keep looking at the voge 900 and dont want to like it but it looks fucking good , proof of the pudding is in the eating , keep up the good vlogs and wish yous health and wealth , love yous bye lol
We have talked about this too, our Hondas have not been without fault, few bikes are but what matters is the after sales and support. If Voge get this bit right they will join the main sellers in the uk very quickly I’m sure of it. I test ride the new Vstroms when they came out and I really liked them too! Such smooth easy to ride machines
Beautiful Cornwall. The weather has been lovely and warm here in Norfolk. Been raining in evening, manage to get washing dry. Great video ! Look forward to next
Rich & Ewa. Great video as usual! So pleased to see you had some good weather…it makes all the difference! As for the Outin……looks a great bit of kit for bikers out on a run! Shame it can’t be charged via the bikes aux socket or a portable power bank as it limits the no. of coffees per day! Perhaps packing a small flask of hot water is the solution? Less current draw = more coffees! May have to invest in one!
If you bring a hot water flask it will make a claimed 200 coffees on one charge! If boiling the water it will make around 6 on a charge and does charge on a usb so you can definitely charge it off the bike or power bank
Good stuff. Without doubt the best real world meaningful relatable appraisal of the Voge currently on the internet. I have to say the bike has certainly piqued my interest since my Africa Twin recently died.....Many thanks👍
Beautiful part of the world. Coffee is an addiction. Welcome to the club. There are worse things. Nothing wrong with being economical with your drachmas, either. Better in your pocket than someone else 's. Ride safe 👍
We did the ACT spain this on my Africa twin this year and are going back next year to do the whole thing 1000 odd kms 60% off road .you get yourself down to the honda adventure center for some training will help with your skills and if you drop the bike it doesn't matter because it not yours
Not to bad I have a gasgas ec 250 which I use for green lanning so it was just getting use to the weight and switching of the wheelie control and traction every time you hit a offroad section the bike is far more capable than I am
Great video again guys the vogue definitely looks like a great bike for the money on my 4th Chinese bike 3rd cf moto and had the benelli trk couldn't fault anyone of them always found them all value for money
Loving the reviews of the Voge and also good to see you guys enjoying Cornwall. It sure is a beautiful county. I currently ride a 2017 z1000sx touring. I fancy a change. I'd love your honest opinion on a new Voge 900 or Trk 702x or Tracer 9gt (2nd hand) or wait till the Trk 900 comes out Ride safe
Ryan Fortnine did a review on various engines. One of which was the quality of the oil from the engine at the service interval. The more gritty the oil the poorer the internal and as a result the possibility of issues further down the road. Chinese engines came out the worst in this area although I have to say they have made considerable improvements year on year. It would be interesting to see the quality of the oil at the next service and compare it with a like engine.
Keyless will let you ride as far as you like without the key , in trouble when you turn it off though but it should flash a warning on thr tft when the keys out of range , about 5 feet with triumph , keep up the good work you pair ❤
I sailed round the entire Cornish coast a few years back. It was absolutely lovely, and I had stunning weather to go with the views (although no wind unfortunately - so when I say "sailed"... more of a slow motor). I definitely want to do the same journey on a bike and, based on your short walk to the Tin Mine, I will will take some walking shoes to change into. Great video.
Hey guys, loving your channel. I’m just sorting out my CBT and from just outside of Bovey Tracey. Great seeing places that are local to me and can’t wait to get things sorted to get out on a bike
Great video guys. Agree about the Outin coffee machine and pods….use one at my work for past 4 months or so and it’s great. Lidl pods (other supermarkets are available) have a good selection and decent price point. Keep up good work. Re keyless use a lanyard and on your bod whole time. I lose keys and share your anxiety 😎
Good video. Agree with views and the decision to respect ewa's ability off road. Keyless is ok but the fob issue is a right pain in the arse at times. Really appreciating these bikes. Opening my eyes. Think you will have a fuel warning light come on with 4 litres left. Keyless will let you ride until you stop but key light will flash. Once you stop you are stuck. However i generally put key in bike jacket and forget about it. Then keep top box keys etc on separate keyring.
Been following your adventures, these voge machine seem the business, really thinking about getting one because you get so much kit for such a great price, have you found the handling of the bike better than your own bikes, about the same or do these voge machines just don't match your bikes, they do look great in fact look lovely, keep up the great videos I enjoy them so much, ( ride safe) .
The suspension is a real plus on this bike, it handles superbly! I would say this one is more road biased than the twins which is where I’m guessing you will spend most of your time
So far it’s been great, it connects really fast and uses Google maps with our issue or drama, I can control my music from it too. It can be distracting though
My car is keyless and you do get used to it. Would be good to see how close the key needs to be or if you leave engine running and walk away if it gives you a warning alarm like modern cars. Another great video and views. looks like I will be going with those tyres, no mention of tram lining out picking up white lines. 😊
Liking the review of the Voge 900, your kit bag on the bike looks like the biz, who makes it? Keep up the good work and have been following you all over Europe! 👍
Thanks, I think I'll get one! Hopefully I'll get a test ride on the Voge soon. I'm pretty certain I'm going to get one, I'm with Ewe with the black version!
Some nice 50/50 tyres on those would sort those tracks right out and possibly lift the bike half an inch. I reckon you are going to be hard pushed to find any major problems with those bikes. Do voge have any seat risers or will it be strictly aftermarket . What an absolute gorgeous location and the campsite looked really excellent .
Yes, we always fit TKC70 to our bikes, it’s good enough for everything we are likely to come across. We would like to try some ACT or tet though… That campsite was a peach!
Hi Rich, I see the sticker on the tank says E5 . Can it run ok on E10 as E5 is hard to find in some places. Wales being one of them. Is it correct it needs oil and filter every 5k or 3100 miles ? seems very low service intervals. Great vids and i think were seeing a change in the market.
I don't understand the rush to keyless. Maybe I'm just old, but what's wrong with a normal ignition switch. There is something nice about putting your gloves on, then trying to get your keys out of your pocket.😅
Clare and I both enjoy your content, I have a question, do you think the included luggage system would be big enough to go touring around Europe , like you have previously done? Not that I want one, as you said in your video, if it brings a smile to your face, it’s the right bike for you, so I am keeping the Guzzi V100s 😊
Yes, absolutely. You will see in a upcoming episode just how much stuff we managed to pack onto these voges! What we have on it is the same kit for us weather we travel a weekend of for 6 months..
Lovely video & love your view on Moto Bikes i argue with you 100% keep it coming my best wishes to you all from the Philippines ♥️💋🌹💪👍😉😀😁🏁🏍️🛺🐑🇵🇭🏴⭐
Pensez à mettre à jour la cartographie en installant le firmware 4.4 ;) Lorsque la jauge essence "clignote" il reste environ 4 litres de carburant dans le réservoir...
I do have a question for you....why do you ride adventure type bikes if you don't want to go off road at all? If you like riding long distances and camping why not ride a touring bike like a Harley bagger etc? I liked the keyless fob type ignition on my Harleys and now I'm riding KTM I'm still getting used to having an actual key.I think you can ride the bike once it's started without the key as long as you don't turn it off.My Harley had a code you could input so as to ride without the key
Hi, the reality is few people use adventure bikes for proper off roading, they are far too big, heavy and expensive for that. They are good for gravel trails etc at best. For real off roading small and light is what you want. We use adventure bikes because they are big enough to carry us and our load comfortably for many miles. We would love to get into doing some off road stuff though but not with cases and pillion seats loaded up for touring of course.
Well done guys. I always zero my (trip 1) meter when I fill up so I know roughly when it's due for a fill. Be interesting to know how far you had to go once you noticed the light come on..how much you put in and how much the tank takes.(Capacity).,👍
Keyless ignition!!!! My XADV 750 has keyless ignition. I have the key fob clipped in my jacket pocket on one of those scretchy things so I can’t forget it!!!! My Benelli is a normal key so not such a problem.
I've seen a YT video of Versys 650 on road tyres taking that route off road. You would've been fine. If you were on your own AT, you would have gone further. Your key won't let you not drive off or stop you. It'll only not let you start the bike if it's too far away.
Wow, everytime I've been/stayed in Cornwall it bloomin raining. I notice on the Voges it only says E5 fuel on the fuel cap. Wonder if E10 will start to give problems later down the the line but you'd expect them to be compatible with both E10 and E5. strange to only mention E5 which would become a bit pricey on fuel on one of your mega tours.. It would be interesting to know if Motogb could confirm that their bikes are E10 compatible as I would suspect it would be a deal breaker for some if they aren't.
It would be great to see you do tet or ACT as beginners off road on a 300cc bike as that’s what the rest of us are likely to try it on, your ADV bikes are too expensive to take to TET
Rich you could leave the key and ride 200 mile and nothing will happen unless there’s some sort of alarm/warning message, just don’t switch the engine off. Don’t ask me how I know, all be it it was in a 4x4
Rich... When you stopped for fuel, it looks like there's a sticker on the key fob saying E5? Is it E5 only? Coffee question.. We was at RTTW yesterday. We always take a flask, and sandwiches.. A takeaway was £3.50 each. 2 =£7.00. We get at least 4 cups out of our flask = £14.00 saving.. Plus no queuing.. Bought merchandise instead, which at least goes direct to the charity..
Yes bringing your own coffee is the way to go, we like to drink espresso so for us this machine is fantastic! I been putting good old 95 unleaded in and the bike runs sweet 🤷♂️
Mate I need that coffee machine what is it mate and what’s the best deals out there cheers Jon I’ll by the way, I may buy one of those bikes next year because you seem to be loving it and so does your misses🎉
Hi Jon, yes we love the espresso machine we can have coffee anywhere anytime, no queuing or paying 3.50 an espresso. Here’s a link, use Road10 for your discount outin.com/ROAD10
@@ontheroadadventure guys your the best love watching you please do more as I really love way you are with each other I’m sure you have moments but keep them coming. 😊
I’ve been telling friends about the Voge and not to be scared of Chinese bikes. A couple have independently responded by pointing out the KTM camshaft problems, which look to be serious, and claiming it’s down to Chinese manufacture. I have no idea if this is true, but BMW don’t seem to suffer in the same way (their driveshaft problem is self inflicted and very much a design issue).
I may be a bit dim here but when you filled up the fuel gauge told you that it had ‘x’ miles range so why would it not tell you later when you stopped and look?
Perhaps as there is the two of you on the same two bikes it's causing an attraction ? Do you think if you were on your own it would still be attractive ? Finally the test , would you sell your AT and buy these 🤔
Hi thanks so much, sadly we won’t be about then, we will try to organise some social events in the future we would love to meet our subscribers and supporters
Hello, good luck, I follow and watch you with pleasure, but could you please add Turkish subtitles so that we can understand what you say. Thank you.👌👏
The next county to me is the West Midlands. In some areas it is like being in Mumbai. Meanwhile I feel women and bikes have a few similarities: You don't *need* one, you *want* one You don't want to ride them every day You want to ride more than one over a period of time They both put a smile on your face They both cost you money (but the bike considerably less) I could go on, but I need to be careful in case Mrs Boulder sees my comment 🤣
All done by cameras nows with lands end. If you ride or drive out without paying you get a letter in the post with a penalty. Bikes are cheaper than cars to park. As it’s all done by number plate recognition I believe. Luckily they not your bikes so not sure how it be with the penalty side if you did not pay. 🤔
@@ontheroadadventure Ya its not well sign posted. Think lands end all a con now. They trying to get every single penny from us. You be shocked of the prices of food and drinks there. 😳 I remember when bikes park free at lands ends but no longer the case. This is when you had to pay at the gate before all this numberplate recognition stuff. Not sure how it works if you went in and then went out again if you be ok or not. 🤔🤷♂️

Thanks, I think I'll get one! Hopefully I'll get a test ride on the Voge soon. I'm pretty certain I'm going to get one, I'm with Ewe with the black version!
These are 70L and perfect for the pilly seat attached with rok straps
Some nice 50/50 tyres on those would sort those tracks right out and possibly lift the bike half an inch.
I reckon you are going to be hard pushed to find any major problems with those bikes.
Do voge have any seat risers or will it be strictly aftermarket .
What an absolute gorgeous location and the campsite looked really excellent .
Yes, we always fit TKC70 to our bikes, it’s good enough for everything we are likely to come across. We would like to try some ACT or tet though…
That campsite was a peach!
E10 is fine we have put nothing else in it so far! First service is 600 miles then it’s every 6200 miles
Great blog 5+++++
Glad you enjoyed it
I don't understand the rush to keyless. Maybe I'm just old, but what's wrong with a normal ignition switch. There is something nice about putting your gloves on, then trying to get your keys out of your pocket.😅
Haha I’m with you bud! 👍
What we have on it is the same kit for us weather we travel a weekend of for 6 months..
think I need one of those coffee machines
Here you go… use ROAD10 for a discount code outin.com/ROAD10
You mentioned the name of the coffee machine thanks Trevor

Enjoyed that …😊
Excellent! 👌
Great vlog as usual..just wish the 900 had a higher seat
If you are tall you will find the legs at a acute angle
Lovely video & love your view on Moto Bikes i argue with you 100% keep it coming my best wishes to you all from the Philippines ♥️💋🌹💪👍😉😀😁🏁🏍️🛺🐑🇵🇭🏴⭐
Thank you! See you soon 🫡
Pensez à mettre à jour la cartographie en installant le firmware 4.4 ;) Lorsque la jauge essence "clignote" il reste environ 4 litres de carburant dans le réservoir...
Ok thank you
I do have a question for you....why do you ride adventure type bikes if you don't want to go off road at all?
I think that’s a good idea! We are counting miles today to will let you know mpg etc in a upcoming episode
Hi I've got quick question. How long warranty do you get with those bikes?
Keep up the good work.
Hi two years 👍
Once you get used to "keyless", you'll love it.
A lanyard would be good to touch the key around our necks and know it’s there
My key is in the same pocket all the time in my jacket. Its never geen an issue. @ontheroadadventure
I’m paranoid il leave it somewhere and ride off without it!
have you seen chris northover on bike world ragging one of those off road, definatley worth a watch 👍
Yes the bike with the knobblies was there at the launch, he tried to break the bike and couldn’t!
Keyless ignition!!!! My XADV 750 has keyless ignition. I have the key fob clipped in my jacket pocket on one of those scretchy things so I can’t forget it!!!! My Benelli is a normal key so not such a problem.
This sounds like a good plan!
I've seen a YT video of Versys 650 on road tyres taking that route off road. You would've been fine. If you were on your own AT, you would have gone further.
Your key won't let you not drive off or stop you. It'll only not let you start the bike if it's too far away.
Yes on our own bikes with no luggage we would have done it for sure… Perhaps we will try again soon!
We will find out for you…
Hi guys
As a comparison, how do you both get on with flat footing on your A/Twins, seat on lower / higher setting. 1 or both feet down?🏍
The Voge is lower for sure but we can both touch down each side on the twins too
Can you do a video of how these bikes are with 2 up and luggage???
Yes No problem we will film that soon
Can we see some footage from the onboard camera pls just to see what the quality / perspective is....
Ok we will take a look at it for you
Enjoy your company guys. Your coffee machine ? What make is it please.
Thanks so much, we love the machine it makes amazing espresso! Use code ROAD10 for a discount outin.com/ROAD10
Looks like you had a great time, you two should get Voge to give you their 300 rally for off roading, I’d like to see how it compares to Hondas
That would be cool!
It would be great to see you do tet or ACT as beginners off road on a 300cc bike as that’s what the rest of us are likely to try it on, your ADV bikes are too expensive to take to TET
Just get a lanyard, you know if you are wearing it and can just tap your chest to make sure the key is there.
We definitely need a couple for this bike
Rich you could leave the key and ride 200 mile and nothing will happen unless there’s some sort of alarm/warning message, just don’t switch the engine off.
Don’t ask me how I know, all be it it was in a 4x4
This worries me allot 😂
Can you see how easy it is to change the air filter? if it's as easy as the f850gs it would be great.
Il take a look into it for you 👍
Thanks Jon, we will do our best 👍
What about riding it 2up please, something nobody ever reviews 😊😊
We will do that for you soon 👍
Hey guys, How do you think it would be loaded and two up?
Very good I’m sure, the suspension is incredible
I’ve been telling friends about the Voge and not to be scared of Chinese bikes. A couple have independently responded by pointing out the KTM camshaft problems, which look to be serious, and claiming it’s down to Chinese manufacture. I have no idea if this is true, but BMW don’t seem to suffer in the same way (their driveshaft problem is self inflicted and very much a design issue).
KTM is built by CFMoto, yes in china. Voge and BMW are built by Loncin in china. Loncin have made BMW parallel twin engines for Decades
@@ontheroadadventure That’s very Interesting. Thanks for the info
Check TH-cam, the ktm camshaft is an oil supply problem, KTM are swapping cylinder heads🤷🏻♂️
@@WalterSherrington Thanks for the info. That suggests it’s a design issue rather than a manufacturing problem.
The engine in the older bmw twin was a rotax ie f800/700 and not made in China
Hey guys I do like the vogee but Im thinking of the off road ING reason.
This will do it, but they also have the Voge 300 rally for just off road stuff
I may be a bit dim here but when you filled up the fuel gauge told you that it had ‘x’ miles range so why would it not tell you later when you stopped and look?
I’m sure there’s no range on this one, I think you saw the trip miles perhaps? I will double check tomorrow 👍
@@ontheroadadventure I thought I heard you say when filled up “x miles range now”
Yeh…After looking again …..I am a bit dim!
Perhaps as there is the two of you on the same two bikes it's causing an attraction ? Do you think if you were on your own it would still be attractive ?
Finally the test , would you sell your AT and buy these 🤔
Time will tell 😉
I'm 5ft 6, would it be too tall?
No we are both flat foot both sides at 5’7
Hi we will be in North Devon 25th 28th October fancy meeting up for a coffe / meal?
Hi thanks so much, sadly we won’t be about then, we will try to organise some social events in the future we would love to meet our subscribers and supporters
I have just bought my first keyless car ,bike still has a key , so I knoiw what you mean about worrying about where the key is
Lanyard seems to be the way to go and keep it around your neck
Hello, good luck, I follow and watch you with pleasure, but could you please add Turkish subtitles so that we can understand what you say. Thank you.👌👏
Ok, thank you
The next county to me is the West Midlands. In some areas it is like being in Mumbai.
Meanwhile I feel women and bikes have a few similarities:
You don't *need* one, you *want* one
You don't want to ride them every day
You want to ride more than one over a period of time
They both put a smile on your face
They both cost you money (but the bike considerably less)
I could go on, but I need to be careful in case Mrs Boulder sees my comment 🤣
You do make us laugh bib! We love your comments 👍🫡😂
@@ontheroadadventure Dziekuje!
How many km’s kan you rode with one tank.
We are testing that today, will let you know in the next episode 👍
@@ontheroadadventure thanx! I look forward to the episode
Time ⏲ will tell iff the quality finsh ,buttons camera radar stand up to British weather 😅
Let’s hope so 🤞
Dry gravel is your friend. Stay off slimy mud.
Good advice 👍
Kreiger Trace
Cheers
All done by cameras nows with lands end. If you ride or drive out without paying you get a letter in the post with a penalty. Bikes are cheaper than cars to park. As it’s all done by number plate recognition I believe.
Luckily they not your bikes so not sure how it be with the penalty side if you did not pay. 🤔
Ahh balls! We didn’t read or see any signs!
@@ontheroadadventure Ya its not well sign posted. Think lands end all a con now. They trying to get every single penny from us. You be shocked of the prices of food and drinks there. 😳
I remember when bikes park free at lands ends but no longer the case. This is when you had to pay at the gate before all this numberplate recognition stuff.
Not sure how it works if you went in and then went out again if you be ok or not. 🤔🤷♂️
@@AshTek_Bikerthis is the same in many car parks automatic number recognition. Bikes used to be free. I have seen bikers swapping plates in certain rural stopping places. Fox the cameras
Get a lanyard for the key,
Good plan 👍
@@ontheroadadventureessential to get faraday fob with it.
