The Bay looks to be pretty hot right now. I always catch stripers. Can I catch halibut close to shore? I kayak and don't like to go more than about 50 feet off shore.
Sadine by far the beat baits for butts in the ocean amd the Bay. I would prefer eating Stripers over halibut. BTW, striper is also more fun to fight than a halibut.
i tie new leaders night before y trips. most likely teeth, my 2nd guess is top hook slid down onto the bottom treble hook knot and compromised it somehow, but I think there would of been a bend in the line from the knot. Thanks for watching
Hey Chris, we’re going out of Loch Lomond tomorrow morning going to be minus type. We’ll fish for halibut and stripers. Any advice on where to start. Low tide 5 AM high tide 12 PM
Those were bat rays, not sting rays. You might tell your guys to set the hook when drifting sardines (wait for 10 count and then solid hook set)...maybe why you guys kept loosing fish?
They fish three times a year. Yeah there technique isnt at a pro level. I dont believe fish were lost just because a rod isnt pointing at the water. We lost fish because the bait was so big. That is the #1 reason on that day. Your not going to use 8-10" bait with 2 hooks and not lose fish ranging 20-30". Even a professional like you wont bat 1000 using sardines in SF Bay.
Thanks for having me on the new boat that was good
Day of fishing
Chris looking good in the North River Hard Top on a rough day of wind and tides.
Like the backwards hat when fish on.
Nice video nice to see Eric out there
Chris imma need you to point me out to those who say striper is better than halibut so I can have a talk with them lol
tried both for the first time striper are fun to catch but halibut are infinity better to eat
Stripers are a great meal…you need to make sure that you cut out of all the pink/red meat, and end up with only white filets
@@OntheHook55 not saying they are not. I love a fried striper, but it will never beat the taste of a fresh piece of halibut
Ask the seal named Fred in fisherman's wharf if you throw him a halibut carcass he won't do nothing with it, but he loves to eat the stripers
Dang that shark is great for tacos either fried or grilled
Great day on the water Chris, I headed to Oregon this week for the summer. Looking for Halibut, coho and Tuna man I'm ready.
Nice one Chris!!
LOL, you need bells on those rods.
You're due for a catch and cook Chris ....no pressure 😂 🤙🏾
lol yeah i could do one soon lol
@@ChrisPfish2 looking forward 👌🏾
you running your head or chest cam in wide, superview or hyperview mode? Looks good with minimal edge distortion. Waiting for your next catch bro!

@@ChrisPfish2 awesome video!
Ive had leader line go bad from sitting in the sun all year. Or do you think the sharp teeth cut the line.

Nice boat bro. Is that the new one?

Maybe just me but it seems like I do better drifting tray bait vs live..
interesting. thanks for watching
Yo bro, you know better that you have to calf it in the head 🤔
You gut gaff hallibit so they don't flop.
are you saying your supposed to gaff the fish in the head? If so that is wrong on a halibut.
Squid is better than both.
i agree but that is never an option inside the sf bay. thanks for watching
U guys will keep losing fish cuz ur guys are high sticking it pulling bait and hook out of his mouth tell them to keep It low and reel slow
