- Taking my friend Kevin into San Francisco Bay for his first time fishing it. Target species is California Halibut. He had never caught one before, goal was to teach him how to catch them and get his first keeper halibut.

Thank you for the excellent videos. Man that was a monster striper. Love the videos, keep them coming. FISH ONNNNNN. Also Moss was wide open yesterday. 3 Limits of Salmon before 9am.
If the fish ever swallows the hook, it’s better to just cut the line at the mouth and get it out when you clean the fish.
Just tie on another leader with bait hook, and just keep fishing. Those stripers are fun to catch. Right on!

Nice day out, Chris! I was down at the Alameda rock wall on my first successful halibut hunt on my new boat a week ago. I saw a couple of whale blows down there too. Weird to see a whale in the South Bay for sure. Your videos continue to be awesome and super informative. Can't wait to get back on the water.

Great job Chris. Waiting for more salmon videos. I went out last Saturday and we limited at 9:30. Rest of the boat limits by 3 pm. Big fish average 12 lbs.

Nice fish! there was big fish out there this past weekend, we caught that 57" 70lb sea bass on sunday and that thing all spooled my buddies wire line... ill never forget the way it was screaming that wire line reel

Here is my comment, I'm in Fresno. 7 kids, but only some have fished. It would be nice to take some for fishing or watching. Youngest needs to catch before she'll eat. Do you combine crab snare too? Rock crab look good!

hey man hitting up moss landing tomorrow, what would you be going out with apex or crippled anchovy? i like the pyramid style flashers like you use because of the go fish camera. but i would be assuming you would be going with green pyramid

Do you ever use the Krippled Anchovy for hali’s like you do for salmon? They work great for the flatties too. I’m sure you guys ultimately had a discussion about the difference in strategies for netting halibut versus ocean salmon. That said, netting is both an art and a science and I’ve been on both ends when the art should have overridden the science or the science should have dominated the art. Over the years I’ve come to learn there is no guaranteed system. ____ happens! Lastly, could you add a quick sentence or two during outings to summarize the wind forecast and the sources you used that day before you launched? Thanks…that would be a nice safety tidbit that might save some of us from a bad outing.

Where did you get that extension for your rod holder, that looks excellent if you ask me. Another good video.
I got them from reel custom boat works. Give them a call, ask for Jim, he can give you all the info, tell him I sent you and he should help you out on price/installation. Happy you enjoy the videos!

What kind aboat is that? Kinda like the style and space to fish in back. Been looking around for a boat
Its a 2007 North River 20' seahawk with off shore bracket. Soft top, with tower. I love it. I would recommend it. If you want more boat they make the model up to a 25' with a hard top.
Are those kill bags easy to clean? Thanks for the excitement
yes very easy. Put it in your lawn, dump out the bloody ice, then i spray the bag with the hose, shake the water you spray in a couple times and dump in lawn. After that leave open in the sun for a couple days, never smells.

Recently I purchased a New Hewscraft without thinking it out. Now its buy every accessory time. I have ordered Fish Killer anchor and railing system but was wondering about your tower (Reel Custom Boat Works?) or where also what kind of rod holders do you have make a link ill get em from there. They look easy and fast to use.
