  • "We all have our own beautiful ways of moving, and this is worth celebrating," says dancer and choreographer Ryan Heffington. Inviting you to reconsider your connection to dance, he shows how even everyday experiences -- tying your shoes, rocking a baby, whisking up some mac and cheese -- can offer choreographic inspiration and help you find joy and release when you need it most. After the talk, dancers Nico Lonetree and Ryan Spencer perform a dazzling routine infused with the humor and beauty of daily movements.

I want to say THANK YOU... as "retired" ballerina, today I brushed my teeth shaking my hips... and dancing! Love it!

This idea can also very much applied to many other things, forms of art, making and creating.
So many people are so stuck in what is expected "to be good", or focus on the techniques and tools.
Which seem to become the goal instead of actually creating and most important of all, having joy.

I love that "Bob Ross" move I think it's so powerful that we're tapping into our bodies movement truly helps to enhance life. As I study indigenous cultures it proves to be so true, often times rhythm & dance is regarded as sacred and it's only recently that we've been taught collectively that dance is for nights out only or 'inappropriate'.

I totally agree with the video which says that Dance Can Release Inner Joy. As a dancer, I also feel this way. where when I feel sad, stressed, confused, etc. I pour it all into the dance, and likewise if I'm feeling happy I pour it all into the dance. It really had an impact on me, all feelings of restlessness, anxiety, disappeared instantly when I danced. yaps i love dancing

I think when we dance with passion and feel every movement that the dance makes, it will be more meaningful and can bring out emotions. And nowadays dancing may become a necessity for every individual, as seen from the many people who use the tiktok application to dance and they look happy, I think they are able to express that happiness by dancing. And I think dancing can help everyone become confident. When you start dancing, the obstacles will disappear and you can build confidence in every movement you make.

This video explains how we relate to dancing, how we express ourselves through movement. Of course we all have a beautiful way to move. My opinion about the video is that I agree with the arguments presented. With dance we can pour our self-expression through movement. This can be done by everyone without exception.
