Bravo , just like they taught me back home in the Carribean !👌👌
I found this tutorial so easy to follow, although I had to alter the playback speed to keep up whilst reading the measurements.
Usually I am an inches person, but in this tutorial it was easier to follow in metric, all this •7” •3” etc is too head spinning for me.
The bust depth measurement was an eye opener for me, I do not recall seeing any other tutorial on TH-cam doing it this way.
Folding the bust dart down is interesting, by folding on the middle line first it makes it look much easier. I was beginning to get confused, but what was done made sense.
It is interesting to see that the same amount you go up to shape the sides at the bottom, you measure the same amount down on the centre seams, I learnt this for the first time yesterday after seeing someone else do it, by seeing it done again by someone else confirms it.
I have watched many, many tutorials, but I have never seen them do this.
I would be very interested to watch the video of a Princess seam (armhole) bodice pattern being done.
Been browsing around for basic pattern making and this video
has a much better comprehensive way of guidance on how to
make a basic pattern! No too much talking but simply doing
it with written data that I can easily pause and take note of!
Very helpful indeed!
Thank you for sharing, be visiting your channel often! I'm

I love the fit of this pattern!
one note: on 5:23 you wrote *bust depth/2* by mistake when it should be just the bust depth measurement, since your measurement is 7.5 inches. I faced the issue when i was drafting so i thought i would share.
Thanks!!
Bust depth/2 means to do the same thing for the other side of the front to get the dart so that the dart is on both sides of the front.
Thanking
Excellente explication !! Vraiment merci beaucoup ! ❤

Thank you so much ❤❤ ❤

Thankyou for an easy to follow pattern making. I like it, especially when you added how to measure , formular and why. Iam trying to make Vietnamese Ao Dai and couldnt understand most of you tube videos. I would use your techniques except the arms since ao dai has ragland (? spelling) arms.
If you could use the same teaching techniques to show how to make ao dai that would be great for most of us newbies. Thanks
Danke für deinen ❤❤
Thank you!
BRAVO THX dude it helped me alot you gained a sub :)

@@sewingwithkhanh, hi, I have a question. When you draw your front bodice pattern, the shoulder to waist is 40cm. When you draw your back bodice pattern, you take the length of shoulder to waist from front bodice pattern but it become 37cm, can you explain this ?
It’s because you deducted 3 cm for side dart for front bodice ?
@@meiping5523 The front of woman’ measurements is usually longer because of our bust.
I'm looking for this .Thanks❤

Thank you very much
An excellent tutorial. Very easy to follow just one thing I always thought that for the sleeve it is the front that is cut in deeper a lttle more than the back. Please correct me if I am wrong..thanks
She did cut
Why divide the neck circumference into 5 and not 4?
Harikasınız acaba kaç beden söylermisiniz lütfen sabırsızlıkla bekliyorum teşekkürler
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO ITS VERY EDUCATIVE. I LIKE TO KNOW WHY THE WAIST TO SHOULDER IS 37CM FOR THE BACK AND THE FRONT 40CM. THANKS
Maybe because we have boobs so that the front is longer than the back
Hi... can you pls explain about the 4cm on the bust line
4cm is the movement of the body. If you sew on stretch fabric, you don't need to add 4cm. Thank you for your watching.
Thank you❤
May i ask, how do i add seam allowances? And why did you draw that curved line at the bottom of the front bodice?
Hi friend! You can add 1cm for seam allowances. About the curved line at the bottom is for softer line.
Do I add 1cm seam allowance to the curved line too?
Thank you ❤❤
I too was wondering about that too. I thought we were supposed to add back whatever measurement the side dart is as I have seen other videos doing that so that the front hem line will match the back hem line,
6:23 How did you find eight centimeters?
Thank you for your watching!
Thank you for watching and supporting. Can you write English?
I Llke what you do, and I always learn a lot from you. My question is why you add 1cm at end of the pattern? Thanks
@@user-pp2tb5ux3k On the front bodice , women with bust so we should add 1cm . And on the back bodice you'll see I minus 1 cm. So the 2 bodies will match.
Hi.nice video.how is your schoulder to waist measurment in the front 40cm and in the back 37cm?
its a standart, generally back part is shorter; from what I gathered from books and online tutorial, front is allways longer of 2 or 3 cm, depending with what side you start. You add 3 cm because you have to add some room for the chest. Miind that for the video she used a standart for the darts too. For waist darts, bust minus waist equals the space you have to substract and you distribute with the darts (generally it's the empty space that forms in your lower back), total are 7 (depending on the books), but you can just do 4, two back and two front. Hope it helps.
cant believe it took me 5 hrs to do what shes done in 20 minutes
Hi , great Tutorial!
Can you explain why at 10.17 while mesaring 40 cm in front , you do 37cm Shoulder to Waist on the back?
There was no explanation at all... 😮

@@antidoteify thank you dear 😘 I could not wait and educated myself since, have sewing 2 dresses. Unfortunately not through this pattern...
I am guessing, 3 cm for the dart in front and folded the dart down 40cm . The didn't. NEED A DART SO THE BACK WOULD BE 37 CM.
