- Custom Guitar out of old South Georgia Barn. @FieldRows we need to get together to let me build you an old barn guitar and do a cross channel promotion. #guitar #luthier #reclaimed @GeorgiaSouthernUniv @FieldRows
You just got another subscriber! I've watched three about high yielding beans(because that's what interests me) before this one and I like the fact you have some SERIOUS variety here. Glad I found you, Patrick!
Thanks for watching & subscribing 57!
A Man of Many Talents 😎👍🚜🚜🚜
Blessing's from South Texas 🙏
We drove all the way to Mexico border to look at a cotton picker my dad was considering buying one time. It was picking cotton 12 miles north of the Rio Grande. I got some family living in Austin now.
Good job saving old lumber.I use reclaimed wormy chestnut building turkey box calls.
Where in the world do you salvage chestnut from?
That's awesome buddy! Gos bless u sir.
Thanks Greg
Sure would like to hear ya play one of your creations, like that short ya did! Great videos, for small time farmer like me
Thanks for watching Theodore
Awesome. A man of many talents
Thanks Salt!
That Pat just seems to keep surprising us! Great interest in old buildings and the talent to repurpose history. Love your guitars!
Thanks for watching Preach!
Thanks for having the time to read my comments. Be encouraged! Looking forward to watch you planting this season. Hopefully I can turn some Georgia soil as well.
I just saw that bad boy guitar there ain't to many things them ole boys can't do come on. Jimmy page would be proud to do a stairway to heaven solo with it lm sure of it or maybe freebird who knows Mr. Patrick one of his favs.
Howdy guitar man
Howdy Tug!
Those guitars look really good 👍 good job Patrick!!!
Thanks Cole
You should plug one in so we can hear it sometime. Ever build flying Vs?
I’ve built every Fender shape, Les Pauls, Firebirds, non reverse Firebirds, SG, Explorers, Rickenbackers, Gretsch, but I have never built a V that I remember. Perhaps I should knock one out.
@FieldRows you interested in a farm built guitar in exchange for a cross channel promotion?
Dang Patrick, you’re a jack of all trades. I have never heard of a guitar made out of heart pine. How do they hold up from warping? And do you build bass guitars?
They are super solid. No warping or undesired movement. I built a lot of basses when I lived in Nashville, but haven’t built any South Georgia heartpine basses. It would definitely have to be hollow body as a solid body bass in this wood would be very heavy
Cool side gig Patrick! Those look great also!
Thanks Ronnie
Such talent! A farmer into music - that is cool! Take care...
Thanks Gatorguy!
Man, that’s very impressive!! Looks awesome but I know nothing about guitars. Except I like to hear them!
Thanks Jack. I wasn’t sure if anyone would watch or be interested in a wood working video. I have posted a few through the years and they never get traction.
@@PatrickShivers were the others as in death as this one?
@@jackweeks8099 sawmilling, wood working, potato harvesting, and chicken related videos all do really well on TH-cam and all go virtually ignored on my channel 🤷🏼♂️. I have over 300 videos and I still can’t tell you when I put one out if it’s going to get 10,000 views or 200. No rhyme or reason I can discern.
Dang It Patrick! You have so many Skills! Great job!
Just trying to earn a living. Thanks for watching.
This is a smart hard working man right here keep up the good work💪
Thanks for watching & commenting Wayne!
Only in January? That would be hard. I’d wanna be in that shop every day👍🏼 Those weathered paint tops look great.
I use to teach guitar building classes year round on Saturdays. Just don’t have the time anymore.
This video caught my eye. Whats your going rate for a custom hollow body with lipstick and humbuckers?
I have a 57 home made strat and 2018 les paul standard. I wonder how your guitars play comparably? Very beautiful style and look for sure.
$1200. My necks are similar to Fender but with a volute (headstock to neck transition) similar to hollow body Gibsons.
I will definitely keep this in mind. We are busy with home improvement stuff now.
If you have an email address or website for guitar builds, please let me know.
@@GICK117 message on TH-cam is the easiest way to contact me, but you can also email me at patrickshivers@yahoo.com
I keep 7-10 bodies of various shapes/colors ready to go. Necks are typically built when a guitar is ordered.
Very impressed with your skill. Beautiful guitars
@@robertwilson9097 thanks Robert
How much are your guitars
If I build it all from scratch, 2 pickups, no Bigsby, $1200. Add more pickups or a trem and price goes up.
Patrick do you play?
