Beautiful voice and beautiful rendition. She (and the extraordinary musicians) made me cry. Simply wonderful!
The harpsichord is very disturbing at first, but once she enters... she takes us into the ninfa's state of mind. Very moving!!

In the score, it specifically asks for the soprano to be liberally out of time from the rest of the ensemble. Such a powerful result, and this performance goes to wonderful lengths. Beautiful singing and expression, and staggering grounding bass lines. I enjoyed this so much!

Monica Piccinini possède une maîtrise vocale impeccable et la rare capacité de savoir jouer d'un subtil décalage entre les mots et l'accompagnement instrumental, ce qui lui permet d'exprimer comme personne, tantôt en retenue et tantôt en puissance, la plainte de la Ninfa. Merci Monica.
