Great truck and video. Nitto makes a ridge grappler in a XL that’s light-weight around 48lbs. If you didn’t get recalibrated, your fuel mpg will be off also. Say you’re driving 50mph and you’re really going 53mph with 35’s”. That’s about 5% more mileage that isn’t being calculated by the mpg, so you’re doing a little better than it says.
I put the bbs pro wheels on my platinum hybrid. Stick out a bit more than the 20’s that came on it. My pro fenders finally shipped a couple days ago, so excited to get them on.
I recently stumbled on Black rhino diamondback wheels which are light weight about 27lbs with +12 offset. Also they are available in 17, 18 and 20 inch and they look great. Not sure if they are hub centric though. Planning to get them
Thank you for making these videos, can’t tell you how much I appreciate all the info! Just received my Westcott TRD lift and plan on putting it on next week. Tires are ordered but I think I’m going to stick with the factory wheels with 295/65s. I know this is redundant from the comments immediately after the lift but since you have increased your tire size have you had any problems with your sensors? I was going to have Toyota do an alignment and recalibrate my sensors after the lift and tires and they quoted me $780 that I was a little baffled by.
No issues with the sensors. I had an alignment done at a local performance shop for a 1/3 of the cost you are being quoted. My radar cruise control and safety sense works perfectly. Skip the dealership, go to a local shop with someone that will spend time to make sure that alignment is proper.
Hi, great video. How’s the long term review? I’m currently running 37” tires and planning to downsize to a 35” a3 but not sure if I should run the same ones or go with the 12.5. I’m downsizing due to mpg lol. It’s my daily driver
Everything has been great. Just rotated the wheels and still rolling nice and smooth. Caring less about MPG now that the before and after test is over. Not sure how much the extra inch is going to effect MPG.
Only effects 2022-2023 plus Toyota is doing it right with its customers by replacing the entire engine if your one of those who got a bad one. That’s how a good car manufacturer does it. ❤️ Toyota

On my 3rd gen Tacoma I did a similar thing to my truck. I added bigger wheels and tires while still getting a decent fuel economy.

Nice! Mine came in and I had them refinished in a textured black. Will be putting up a video with the before and after!
Nice can’t go wrong with Toyo open country

I like the choices and the reasons for it, I think you nailed it!

Did you take into account the odometer/speedometer being off by 6-7% with the larger diameter tires when you calculated your after mileage?
Did not. Just using the data off the Fuelly app.
Where do you guys find the Trd Grill?

Nice setup!!!
Love the tint job. Wonder what % in the fronts
20%
How much of a lift do you have?

Did the hub rings affect center caps installation?
Truck looks awesome
Truck looks great! Do you have a link to the wheels?
I do not see the same wheels on their site anymore, but this is where I got them. www.relationsracewheels.com/collections/toyota-tundra-2022
what offset? Beautiful truck.
Did I miss the wheel size and offset?
Great video! Is that the TRD dealer installed lift?
Its the Westcott "TRD" lift.

Boss man! Does your break squeaks ? Just curious cuz mines doing it.
Mine do not but I see people complaining about this!
I thought it was a 32 gal tank? Mpg didn't drop much on 35
These trucks have a large reserve fuel tank. I fill up when it shows 20-30 miles left on the range but I know there is much more in there.
I may have missed it, but what is the offset on those wheels?
17x8.5 0 Offset
How do you get 18 mpg on that truck my 24 trdpro I have never gotten past 14 on average?
Driving very light footed!
@@LightwerkzGlobal Lol I am trying best so far is like 13! I put 35s but I am going to go back down to 33s i liked them better
What did you do to fix the rubbing?
Trimmed up the mudflap. Very easy to do with a razor.
Did you have your odometer checked after the upgrade?
You can use GPS speed to see what the difference is. Few MPH off, especially at highway speeds.
@@LightwerkzGlobal my tundra is anywhere from 3-5 mph off driving on the freeway, with 34.6” ko2’s verse the odometer and wayz
@@taylormade710 Sounds about right!
what type of gas octane do you put? 87 or 91?
I use regular. 87
What psi u running on the new tires ?
About 38-39psi hot
Do you have a lift kit on it?
Yes, that was the Westcott TRD lift (TRD Shocks and Westcott pre-load collar lift)
What’s your lift ?
@@ElateHD currently on the fox 2.5 elite
A hybrid and getting under 18 before wheels and tires is rough .
It’s a non hybrid. Also take into consideration the 3” lift. Is it great ? No but I suppose it could be worse.
Even a hybrid tundra won’t get any better mpg. With having a twin turbo the most your in boost with heavy tires the more it’s gonna kill your mpg.
Next get the engine recall done.
Dude talks way too much
Trade that in while they still have value. Cause it’s not loooking good for these new Tundras and Tacomas
It’s looking just fine. Have a bigger chance with major problems with any of the other main brands.
