- In this video I walkthrough putting 35 inch tires on my 2024 Toyota Tundra Limited TRD Off-Road with the TRD 3" Lift Kit. I talk about the wheels and tires I chose, getting them mounted, and fitment issues. If your truck is set up differently than mine and you're wondering in 35's will fit, drop a comment below and I'll do my best to answer your questions or point you in the direction of someone who can. Enjoy!

Update video on the truck after putting the new tires 🛞 can’t wait to get my tundra
New wheels and tires look amazing!!
Thank you!!
Great video. Just picked up a 2024 iforce max limited trd off-road in magnetic grey. Getting your exact setup. Hate those 6-8” vanity lifts but these modest AND capable 3” are awesome! Your truck looks very cool. Love the Lunar👍🏻
Thank you and congrats on the new truck!!
Perfect combo this is the exact same set up i am going with except different design method wheels
Good call!!
Bro is gonna create a beast
😈😈😈
Do you have a lift kit on the truck? I just bought the 2024 limited hybrid. I like your set up. I was wondering if I need to put a lift kit on there though. Can you send me the descriptions of your tires and rims?
Truck looks great, also a great job sharing this for Tundra owners doing a lift. I’m installing a Wescott lift 3+1 in a few weeks, bought the same wheels (diff color, but same specs) and 35x12.5 Toyos because they are D rated also. I may have bought the “C” tires instead if I could’ve found them. Do you think a 12.5 vs an 11.5 will ride differently, and besides the liner and mud flaps do you think there will be any rubbing? Do you prefer the 11.5 width to a 12.5? Cheers
Thanks!! I don’t think the 12.5 will ride differently than the 11.5, but the D vs C may make a slight difference. With the Wescott lift, I’ve heard people run 35x12.5 no problem with just the same mud flap removal and fender liner pin back. The 11.5 is likely even a slightly safer option, but I think both are equally doable. Let me know when you get the new shoes on!!
How close are the tires to rubbing on the sway bar? I assume you have the swaybar drop from the TRD lift installed which I also have installed. I am thinking about the same tire but using the TRD Pro rims which only have a 46mm offset. Truck looks great and the C load tires are also what I am looking for. Great video!
Great question - VERY close. The driver side, while moving in reverse at full lock and backing over a curb or something may even slightly touch it. BUT it’s so minimal and inconsistent for me, like I’d almost have to try and get it to touch it, that I didn’t mention it in this video; maybe I should comment on it in another one. Not sure if the offset difference of the TRD Pro rims would be enough to cause it to rub, but it’s possible. Would you be comfortable using a wheel spacer if it did?
I have the Limited 24 Tundra, got the 3” lift after the fact. Kept the blackout package 20” Toyota rims and threw on 35” Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I do get sway bar rub but it’s only when I am full lockout turning wheels to the left.
Not a huge issue for me, but something to consider 🙂
Are yours 12.5” wide? I think the 11.5” wide helps eliminate the sway bar rub - I’ve touched the sway bar on the driver side at full lock in reverse, but it’s not a consistent rub and it’s hardly even noticeable enough to think about - with these specs I basically have to go out of my way to try and get something to rub
Love the set-up! Question: what is the height of the truck with those new tires on? My concern in getting a lifted truck into my garage.
Good question. I haven’t measured, but my garage is a 7’ opening and it fits by about 2-3”
Excellent question! I’m getting the same lift and tires and told the shop I wouldn’t go through with it unless it passed the 7’ clearance into my garage. They assured me the same 2”-3” buffer👍🏻
Did you had to recalibrate the speedometer after the swap?
+18 is perfect!
I agree!
Pretty much have the same set up that you have. What difference have you noticed with MPG after making the jump to 35s?
Currently the avg is showing about 13.5 😅 I only drove with the stock wheels and tires for about 100 miles so I don’t have a good baseline
Did you try to pin back mudflap using same hole of where u pinned back liner?
I didn’t try to pin the mudflap since it’s not very flexible. I think at some point I’ll try and trim and/or heat gun the flaps to get them back on.
It’s probably a good idea to have flaps on to protect from rocks anyway . They don’t look too bad anyway
Those are almostttt too small for that truck. Speaking in proportions. The way they make trucks these days just visually kinda changing the way we’ve always done jt. Like the Jeep gladiator for example looks silly with 37s imo. They really need 40s if I’m being honest.
But no the 35s still look good on that truck ofc so don’t take me for a hater 😅 but man 37s woulda filled those wheel wells up beautifully.
Killer truck tho, that factory OD Green color gets me every time I absolutely love it. And I love those methods you chose.
I thought about 37’s, but didn’t want to do any major trimming - so far I’m happy with the 35’s!
@@TRDadLife no they absolutely look great dude 💪 I had a hard time cutting up my almost 20-year-old vehicle so I could only imagine it not ideal to have to take a cutting wheel & saw to your 60k truck!
You didn’t mention the difference in tire weight from stock to aftermarket, or maybe I missed it?? Thank you.
I believe the stock tire is around 38 lbs, and the new tire is about 63 lbs. So, it is indeed quite an increase.
Any reason you did not go with a 12.5 wide instead?
1. Less risk of rubbing on the sway bar
2. The 11.5” wide version of this tire is C load rated instead of E load rated which correlates to a softer ride on the highway
@TRDadLife Thanks do you get any rub on the sway bar with the 11.5?
@@RZRTUNDRA simple answer is no. If in reverse and I really try to crank it and am backing up at a weird angle it has SLIGHTLY rubbed - I’m talking superrrr slight, not even a concern
@TRDadLife thank you for the information my truck is getting the TRD lift installed at the dealer as of now trying to figure out what tire setup I want to go with
My wife drives a truck just like yours when she goes to the grocery store, its a good grocery getter.
She drives over the curbs leaving my driveway
Very good grocery getter.
They tried to warn u by putting TURD all over it
Warn me about what??
@@TRDadLife that it's a garbage vehicle hence the TURD
@@roynelson3207 haha nice - what truck do you drive?
@@TRDadLife 18 raptor, soon to be 24 raptor r
@@roynelson3207 nice, I love raptors! I opted for the Tundra this go around instead; both are great trucks.
