I've heard so many stories of people being convicted because of just an eye witness testimony only for it to come out that they were wrong. It's crazy how we still put so much value in that!
There's one reality. We have a perception of said reality. But I like the notion that experiences are not reality. We often hear what you've formulated in your video: "but I know what reality is". Sciences tend to study the parameters of the different aspects of reality... they're... quite a bit more knowledgeable about several of these aspects. Psychology tends to try to summarize behaviors into patterns, but they disregard what psychology should have identified centuries ago... human nature. I'm still baffled that we all discuss these subjects and try to justify our mistakes as "human nature". That's not what it is... just formulating the right question eludes the entire body of modern psychology and it pains me to say that they're all lost in the woods. Especially those trying to earn a buck on YT. Don't take this as a warning... if you formulate your videos in a humble manner: "this is just an attempt" you will get where you're trying to go. Solid attempt, though! GL.
Who knows how the algo truly works, but it's odd that the sentiment you express is something I have been thinking/feeling but not able to vocalize. Our interaction with the algo defines what content it serves us, a great example of its ability to connect our subconscious ideas. The purpose of a system is what it does, I guess. I resonate deeply with what you're saying, so keep it up. You'll feel out the other shit as you go, I'm sure. 👍
@xlretard Thank you for commenting. I believe understanding how our actual self works in a real way can show that these tools and platforms we use shape or identity more than are genetics or just using them as a tool.
