- This is 3 parts. It occurs immediately after the After the Endgame Series. Scott has proposed to Laura. She is thinking about it. Both L&L are having a hard time with the date, and what it should be. Clips owned by ABC, GH.
Luke pressing on his chest there at the end is so heartwrenching. It's like he's trying to keep the pieces from falling out of his chest.....I miss them so much. Even the sad times together were so much better than no time together!
I'm sad they didn't last, and when Luke touches his chest after Laura leaves. Yet, he had Felicia waiting in the wings before the ink was dry on the divorce papers. I guess even the love of his life was not enough for him.
Agree with the sentiment with the image of him bracing his heart as she leaves. I will always love Luke and Laura and it just isn’t enough to hear they were the lives of one another’s lives or they were soul mates. Life is so full of sadness, uncertainty and loss. The Luke and Laura SL showed me as a young girl what love looks like. To end it with a “happily ever after” isn’t so much to ask for a devoted fan of 40 years❤️

When Luke said he was sooo miserable in the house Laura had to have was such bunk! He loved his life eith her and the kids...writers trying to rewrite their loving history is awful. He adored her and his kids. Their life. Sad how they tried to minimize how involved he was as a parent and loved it.
It doesn't matter if these two are in a crowded room or alone in a room ....their connection is so compelling, it mesmerizes me!

How is it after I have watched this a hundred times that it still drives me to tears? If anybody else does it better than they do, I've yet to see it! 20 year olds have absolutely nothing on these two! Give it to us one more time, writers!!
Love these two! I love how Luke just releases a long breath when he finally holds her, as if he's been holding it forever. Then when she's not in his arms anymore, he looks lost and bereft, his hands against his chest as if she took his heart with him. L&L are epic!
Daytime has a lot of great couples but no one holds a candle to Luke and Laura

God, I love the flashbacks, and yet they rip my heart out at the same time.
The writers and powers at be should have kept them together...what a waste of talent and possible stories of love and adventure for these two.

Luke's longing and pain after he releases her is heartbreaking! Their consuming love is one we have longed to see reignited! Here's to that combustion beginning again and soon!

Luke and Laura Forever!!!!!! Getting divorced was not the right thing to do. I believe Bobbie orchestrated Thanksgiving to get Luke and Laura together. Laura is the love of his life and that cannot be denied. Sorry Tracey you are a poor second and always will be.Their eyes say it all. "Friends" please, more than that, She said it when she said she felt like she was "Home" with Him. When they hugged and kissed goodbye, he knew he had to get her back because he loved her and she him.
Yeah... it's a tough one right?! Both Genie Francis and Tony Geary always did the "longing" so well.... masterful.. and heart wrenching for sure!

Luke, I didn't like Laura's secrets either, but they weren't that bad you & Laura couldn't work this out. You went out your way to get Laura, then you went out your way to leave her, I don't get it.
@Jolie France they were genuine friends for years after that. There's many videos of interviews and appearances with them together. He said they were acting soulmates and she agreed. If they had some falling out it was years later than the 90s.

And here come the waterworks. I know the majority of L&L fans didn't like them being apart, but as someone who started watching GH in the late 90s, I actually became obsessed w/them and the Spencer family during this time. I mean no one did longing/heartbreak like TG/GF so guessing that's probably one of the reasons they separated them so many times.Torturous for us fans as that may have been.

Yep... wouldn't invest so much time in the channel if that wasn't clearly the case. He needs tracy right now to avoid his feelings for laura... that's what all the history is for so you see how he works.
Yes they could have let them separate but never ever should they have let them divorce. They belonged together. They gave General Hospital and daytime tv a Magic that has not been since then.
Typical Luke at this time. Laura's reaching out to him, and he's pushing her away.
Does anyone 3ver notice how Tony Geary usually repeats what Laura says when they have close.conversations? Sometimes rephrasing them a little bit and in earlier scenes it is almost.word.for wo4d.

Tony G. has said he never wanted L & L to last. He was never supposed to be her love interest. He was a seedy character obsessed with a teenager who was already married. Then, he raped her.TG was never comfortable with this.

I have always thought Luke was too old for her. He was 32 and she was 17 when it all started. I'm GF's age, and I was not interested in older men at that age. Most girls that are dreaming of getting a date to the prom.
@@katydalton4759 Truth be told, I have always been interested in older men, although I married a man 10 months younger than me. I got ribbed a lot in high school and college for having a major crush on Robert Wagner. He's 30+ years older than me. Some women like older men. :) And, I'm not talking sugar daddies.
