In fact, this is the quickest and best explanation for gain staging I’ve heard to date. He explained in 10 minutes what some people take hours to lecture in courses. Excellent.

Oh my god, thank you Marc. I have been composing for years, without even realizing this "Pre (Filters / Gain / Phase") rack even existed in Cubase! I feel stupid haha. Learn something new every day I guess. Thanks to this, I can finally balance libraries together (ie: VSL Synchron Elite Strings which sounds a bit too quiet compared to other librairies).
