    Hey Johnny with the z2 overhang stripe issue that machine isn't any different than the 2100z overhang and tire width that you ran. I ran a 2100z for a few years and just bought a 3200 with 37hp vanguard this spring and have been very happy with it

    • @JohnnyMow

    Why didnt you just go straight to the Z3? Same sized deck, but better. Im amazed you didnt do that after all the talk about getting the most powerful engines etc. Im stunned! Sorry, is this a demo? Demo the Z3 for comparison! I'd be interested in your thoughts!

    • @JohnnyMow
      @JohnnyMow  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The z3 is just too heavy for my liking. This is about 975 verses 1300-1400. It’s just too big. The wright is a little over 1100 for the zk. With all the rain we have had I’m tired of pulling out a 1400 lb machine. The z3 is a beast to run. What I’ve come to realize is the weight of these machines are issues

    • @mickhippy
      @mickhippy 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JohnnyMow Fair enough but its dry Z2 1000 vs Z3 as1270 vs 1445 for the 3200 ztr. Not insignificant I agree but tire size increase with the weight increase.
      At the end of the day its about the deck and issues have already shown up. Thats why the need for good demo right!
      I'd seriously reconsider. We have both been there trying to fix decks and know sometimes they can't be.
      How many times have you been through that already?
      Im still stunned you seem to have put that to the back of your mind.
      One year may be wet, the next not. I wouldnt buy a mower based on what "might" happen.
      Just my 2cents mate, for what its worth.

    Great post, im in market, not fan of scags tri-plate design on deck, EVEN THOUGH it's tops for quality of cut, they don't last ie; 3 stacked plates In fla starts rusting issues that once started its over.
    I like the ride of the z3 but like the non greasing on zk and ease of service 7 guage fabricated deck means a LOT when you keep your machines well into 10yrs. Don't know much about the hydro gear zt 4400 trannies on Ferris either. Great post Sir.
    Edit: after you reminded me of the hydro issue, I'm gonna start looking at "staris" as well 🤘🤓

      I got one of the if not the first one in Canada. 52 inch. 25.5 kawi. Hydro started leaking at 175 hours. Replaced at 300 for the one the other had the seals also done and then gave out again at 600 or so hours. Ferris was good and covered it even tho it was out of warranty because they leaked so early and had obvious issues. Apparently they are all bad like that as another company here has gone through the same thing. It’s a great machine when it works tho.

      @@DoyleBros03 what would you reccomend for a 36 stander?

    • @DoyleBros03
      @DoyleBros03 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pioneer Northwest LLC Lawn Care And Maintenance I personally would rather have a 36 walk behind and then nothing less than a 48 stander. After having both sizes, the 36 is not able to handle hills because the base is not wide enough. It’s completely different built than the 52. It’s just weaker and can’t do anything laterally. Unless you’re in a 100% flat area, I wouldn’t get it. This year, we’ve basically dropped everyone where we couldn’t use a 52 inch and it was the best thing we’ve ever done. Income has sky rocketed and time per yard went down. If I don’t make $750 a day, then something weird happened. Last year I was only able to max out at 400-450 a day. But dropping those fence yards saves so much time, and tightening your routes. 52 is the best size in my opinion or 61 if you’re in a flat area.
