Hey guys hope you found this useful! Apologies for the screen capture bits the video was glitchy and I didn't realise until I uploaded 😢😱 let me know in the comments if you're an ipad or a laptop user and if you have any tips on using them! 💛
I used a laptop in my last degree but my vet school just gave us all free iPads so now we can use both. We definitely end up using iPads more in labs and tutorials but a laptop is better for lectures.
Laptop for the win!!! Thank you for this video, im still in undergrad but i still needed to know what to by for school generally and this was rlly helpful
I have a laptop but i think a tablet would be better for studying in libraries and stuff. I think a tablet would really help me but they're very expensive for me, sadly.
Hello May Yean, I'm a Malaysian student who just graduated from STPM this year. As you know Malaysia had been in lockdown for over a year now, and many places are closed off to volunteers except for vet interns. I've only got to volunteer at an animal shelter for half a day in 2019. I'm very nervous about my lack of work experience being presented on my personal statement! Do you have any suggestions on how should I make my personal statement stronger?
Ah I’d say to include experience you have with animals (eg. Could be personal encounter with your own pets at the vets), or arrange to interview a local vet just to get an idea what they’re day to day job is like, most unis have put COVID allowances in place bc they understand it’s hard to get exp, but try to get your enthusiasm for the vet degree across in personal statement and interviews through your wider reading (any books, seminars you’ve consumed) or online work experience by future learn - and remember to reflect on your work experience in your personal statement! (Ie. What you learn from it, did it inspire you to do more research into that topic etc) hope this helps!!
google has been listening to me too well 😅 US citizen who wanted to go to vet school but struggled with college over here and randomly decided to check out vet school in the UK and am now planning to apply as soon as good ol' Rona goes away (even if that's a few years 😵💫 )
Hi! I just have a question ❤️ I’m currently doing my Vet Tech degree for next 2 years…is it possible to become a full Vet later?? Will it take more time?? Will be harder or easier to do it that way?? And by the way, thank you ❤️ you make Vet School look easier for me ❤️⭐️
Hey there! It is totally possible but it's gonna be a lot more money, which means a lot more debt. It's honestly up to you and what you're comfortable with. It will take more time in the sense that you're going to be a vet tech first. As far as harder or easier that'll be up to your skills and what the vet tech school is going to teach you.
I think being a vet tech will definitely help on the road! It gets you plenty of experience which is what a lot of vet schools look for! I am not sure what education a vet tech recieves (I am in my pre-vet undergrad -1st year-), but most vet schools have a list of prerequisites that you must complete. Once you complete those you are probably good to apply!
I know this is so random but What was the hardest thing about studying as an international student there? Like something that bothers international students the most
Hello di , firstly I had subscribed your channel 🙂 u r so pretty and ur voice is beautiful also I want to say is can u share links of short notes of LPM , physio, anatomy of 1st yr . I really need them plz help me . It will be very beneficial .
Hey just wanted to put this out there I have a ThinkPad yoga 260 which is kinda both as you can fold it like an iPad and its touchscreen assell as comes with a pen hope this helps😊
hey sorry to bother you with this.but how do you personally respond to "why do you want to become a vet?" in exams like CASPER .like do you have any advice for someone who doesnt want to be a cliche but at the same time doesnt want to go out of topic 🤓
Hey no worries and no bother at all! I’d say dive deep into your personal story, like what actually made you have an interest in animals? Was it an incident? Was it a book? An aspect of vet med that you find genuine interest in? (Eg animal welfare, behavior, one health, zoonosis etc) so you can answer the question not only with the aim of saying what motivates you to be a vet, but also demonstrating YOUR INSIGHTS as to what a vet does/ role in society :)! Hope that helps x

Such a great video! Would you recommend getting a touch screen laptop like a surface book so you can have the best of both worlds?
Ooh I didn’t consider that actually! If you find it works for you then I’d say go for it 🙌☺️
