Hey vetty friends hope you've been well! Hope these study tips help you in your vet school journey! Should I make a video about the note taking apps I used or other videos like this?
I think that would be fab - can I also ask what the podcasts were that you recommended - I can’t see the link in the video description or a time stamp for where it was mentioned in the video - thank you 😃
Congratulation May for being a professional vet! As a teenager, my ambition is to be a vet too. Your story and study tips are so inspiring for me, I will keep on working and wish you all the best in your future career!
Going to vet school in the US is so different ;D We have exams every week so being able to space out learning is somewhat difficult. But pomodoro method definitely is helpful and has allowed me to stay on track
Congrats on being a "vet", May! So proud of you and you're very inspiring. All the best in your future, i hope people don't drive you off the industry. Huggggsss 💙
This video was great!! I usually don't watch vet student videos outside of the US solely because the curriculum is different, but study tips are universal right! 😁 I've been worried about changing my study methods for vet school this Fall but it was comforting to hear your success stories with trying different ways of studying. Thank you so much for this and best wishes 😊
Hey Alexis thanks so much for watching! Ah which US vet school do you go to? Yes, I have tried and tested so many methods 😂 no worries and all the best, hope it helped! x
I’ve been offered a place at vet school. I watched all your videos before my interview I think it helped. Really sincere and honest your videos are. Anyway I’m worried abut the first year but I’ll try these tips
Thank you for your kindness, I’m a little vet student in Thailand who struggles in 3rd year now. But after wacthed this video I feel like I shall find the way to pass it. And I would like to say “I appreciate your video”.
May, I will be attending vet school in the fall and I just wanted to say you inspire me immensely! Thank you for your videos they help more than you know ❤️
Hi ate (older sis) i am a first year student of animal science (vet med) i have to flow or no study habits right now and this past few weeks i have been failing my quizzes and exam but i manage to pass it since i have no flow with your guidance HAHAHA I finally manage to saw this kind of videos on my feed and yeah i am happy to know what should i need to do to survive vet school
Thanks❤, I'm really young, well, I'm still a kid, and my dream has always been to be a Vet, and I'm sure that I will always have this dream, I love this kind of videos because I can know how studying medicine is (to be a Vet I mean, I still don't know everything about it obviously) but of what I've seen I LOVE IT, I hope one day I'll be like you helping other people my age or bigger people to know how it is, and I really hope that when I'm like you , you will be already on one of the bests Vet clinic on the world, I already said this but again... I love this
I will start vet school in like.. few days and your videos are soo helpful! I need to move in an other country to enter a vet university, but you confort me and i don't know how or why but i'm feeling less stress as I'm listening to your advices !
Hello May! Love your videos. I recently graduated with my bachelors in biology in December, and had no plans to pursue graduate school but now I’m looking at all sorts of veterinary schools. I’m definitely going to be bing watching all your videos. Thanks in advance and congraduation (congrats on graduation)!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I will begin vet school next month in Brazil and you inspired me a lot. I prepared my notion and he's beautiful and ready. I'm anxious and kinda nervous, I never studied this much in my life and don't want to fail :( :( Wish me luck
Would love to know how you sort and teach yourself information learnt whilst already working as a fulltime vet. I struggle with remembering information learnt from webinars/seminars, i do make notes but i find my notes really cluttered and i tend to forget what i have learnt, or dont have it sorted out in a way that i can retrieve the info quickly while at work. Hope you can make a video on how you manage!
Awesome videos.. thanks Dr.. by the way that "Oh u didn't do any work today" is a universal trap I fell in it since highschool.. I mean anyway you're right
thank you very much! I will definitely try out notion this year, last year I was experimenting with dif study methods but found I was spending too much time and not enough time to actually revise... tysm!
I want to ask something. What was the first thing you leard to get started with your animal education. I don't know what to learn to get started to learn.
Thank you for your Video May - Congratulations on passing Vet School Well done to you. Do you have any advice on how to break modules down for exam preparation (which would incorporate revisiting the content) Did you have a calendar planned chart you could share. Thank you
Aww hey Krithi that is so exciting :)! How did first year go? I did Zoology in 3rd year, stay tuned for a video interviewing a 3rd yr vet student coming soon ;)
Do you have a note taking video, I struggle to take notes sometimes, becuase i don't want to copy everyhtign off the powerpoints, plus soemtimes my notes are all voer the place! and soemtimes teachers go too fast! and my hand can't go full speed or my hand writing is illegible
Love this video! Congrats on being a vet! It's my dream job too and I'm wondering, is it extremely hard? I get straight A's in school, maybe a high B. Is that enough? This is my dream job and I have no clue what I'm going to do if it doesn't work out..... Is it there any tips you have for staying focused on this? Or anything to help me maybe...
I think I’m not the person ur trynna talk to I think ur trynna talk to people that are seniors getting Rdy to entire high school I’m not even old enough to drive but what do u think I can do right now to get Rdy other than volunteering at pet shelters?
As someone who just applied to university, definitely keep volunteering. Get a variety, so some farm/equestrian care would be good as well as pet shelters and shadowing a small animal vet. As many different vet types as you can get is great so they know you’ve taken a wide look at the profession. Also read lots of books and published papers about veterinary, even if you just find them randomly online! Anything that helps broaden your knowledge. Even free online courses are great!
