Thanks Jeremy. I’m 84 & just bought my first keyboard, a Yamaha PSR-E373. I’m trying to pick up where I left off 70 years ago. It’s fun this time, but I’m overwhelmed by the technology. You taught me to get back to basics with my piano playing. Thanks for that. Everything will get better with practice.
I’m enjoying all of your videos. Thanks again.

Fortunately they boot up into the default grand piano setup, so you can power-on and immediately hear something you expect to hear upon pressing the keys. Then you can slowly figure things out one feature at a time.

Great Jeremy, I think this is a good way to show to the public in general that arranger keyboards are not just things which make music by themselves, that they require work to deliver good music and, on the other hand, will help interested people to learn how to play on them. Keep on with these videos!

Hi Jeremy, this is a very nice tutorial with useful exercices, please do more tutorials like this one 👍
Would you consider providing some sheet music for these scales and arpeggio? That way, beginners would learn to read notes as the same time as they would learn some keyboard skills.
There was one person who did very nice arranger keyboard tutorials but it was a long time ago. It was Karen Ramirez, who was a professional demonstrator and teacher for the Roland Music Atelier organs, an instrument which had great arranging capabilities (but was also bulky and very, very expensive). She did very nice TH-cam tutorials, including some lessons on harmony.
Regards and keep up the good work 😎

    Hi Jeremy
I live in the UK, and i have a budget of less than £300 to spend, please help !
I believe you are a teacher and have students of your own.
What if a student who happens to be a total beginner, has vaguely played on a keyboard, and asked you whether he should purchase the Yamaha PSR E363 ...or... should he purchase some OTHER keyboard, which would be suitable to him as a beginner, in your opinion and according to your experience and advice.
Please keep your answer uncomplicated and name the correct keyboard for me !
You have great videos, great demos, great advice.....10/10

Thanks so much for the time and effort you take for videos like this Jeremy. It’s a 2 year old video and it’s now December 2020 but it’s still something important to learn. I’m gifting myself a keyboard for Christmas 2020, a Casio or the Korg EK 50, and I’d like to re-learn sight reading and reading music notes. Which software would you recommend for IPad/IOS to re-learn the basics of music notes/theory (staff, clefs, notes, rests, sharps) etc??? I learned it years ago in high school and I’m ready to get back on the horse...😀💎, again thanks for all the hard work you do making these videos...💎💎💎👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Jeremy, I have practiced these scales before but I like your method of arranging and presenting them. I also recently downloaded your Arranger chord book. These chords greatly minimize left hand movement. I just spent a couple hours practicing this method on the scales and becoming more familiar with the new chord arrangements. Thanks.

Thank you for supporting my work, my friend. Yes, chords played with "voice leading" technique is the industry standard as it greatly reduces big leaps and is harmonically more coherent.

Hi Jeremy, I am interested in buying your course for arranger keyboards, you say that I will be able to play songs like pirates of the caribbean. In the course do you teach how to choose the styles and voices for the type of song? For example, do you have a playlist with famous songs where you provide me with the score and the styles and rhythms that I have to select on my keyboard? Thanks

Hello Jeremy and thank you for this video!
I have a question about non playing finger position: I noticed that you keep your not playing fingers out of the keys, as do I (I'm a beginner keyboard player), as it both keeps me safe from accidently pressing a wrong key and gives me momentum if I wish to play forte.
My teacher (a pianist, not a keyboardist), however, say that this is a bad habit, and that I should keep nonplaying fingers on the keys, but this is extremely difficult, if not impossible to me.
So... is it OK to leave nonplaying fingers away from the keys (in the air above the keys)?
    Many thanks,
    Yaron
