    A while back someone suggested that I make a video on using ND Filters with your phone + Moment Lenses and here it (finally 😄) is! I hope I explained it well, let me know what you think! ✌🏻

      That’s a good idea 👍🏻 Not sure I’d be able to make that video soon though as I’d need to gather a lot of tripods! 😄
      But if you’d like a recommendation, I quite like Manfrotto Tripods. Have used them for many years and always had a good time with them ✌🏻

    Great video! By far the best thing you can buy to your lens is an ND filter, that 180deg rule is that one thing that will make your video look so much more cinematic. Wish I had this video when I was new to mobile filmmaking

    I’m trying to find information on Moments’ phone lenses, filters, and mounts. You explained and reviewed everything that I couldn’t find. I was trying to find out how the filter adapter works/attaches to the camera lenses because there was just almost nothing about it.
    I don’t want to buy a new phone case, which is a must for me, it only requires the mount and other lens and filters, which you showed that whole system is possible.
    *You explained and reviewed everything.* I think this video and information was hard to find because of the video title emphasizing the filters but you explained-reviewed more than that (the following I listed above). Do what you like with this feedback.
    Anyway I really do appreciate the information and your presentation. It’s very well organized, especially about the settings. When they don’t have it all on the same screen like you did it gets very confusing for me as a newbie to all this.
    I can never afford a camera and lenses and filters for real cameras are so expensive. But I am satisfied with using my phone and I want to show how good phone photography and filmography can be.

      @@JCKRGB I left my battery for my mirror less camera at home when I arrived for my last video and rather than pull the pin, I decided to film on my iPhone and to my surprise, the footage was actually usable. This is what led me down this research path, with some lenses I think it could be a great option for shooting my room tours. Only issue is the not having low light on wide angle - contemplating a switch to 13 pro max. Anyway thanks for the vid, I’ve watched a few on your channel and subbed.

      Nothing worse than forgetting the battery.. Glad it worked out with your phone!
      13’s ultra wide is better than 12’s in low light for sure 👍🏻 Or another option is using a wide lens attachment over the 12’s wide camera which would be better than the ultra wide in low light.

    • @JCKRGB
      @JCKRGB  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much! 🙏🏻 That’s ace! CPL (Polarising) Filters can help reduce some glare but there’s not much that can be done about lens flares as far as I’m aware.
      The iPhone particularly gets quite bad lens flares / green orbs in darker scenes. And that’s still present on the 15 Pro Max even with the new anti-glare coating which I mentioned in my Review! ✌🏻

      I’m not sure, I don’t have a DJI 3 to test with sorry! And to note, the Phone Filter Mount doesn’t fit perfectly with the 13 Pro as it was made before it came out. So you might get some light leakage. Hopefully Moment will release an updated version of the mount!

    • @JCKRGB
      @JCKRGB  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re welcome Jerry! The Phone Filter Adapter works with all iPhones up to the iPhone 12. On the 13 there’s a slight gap because of how big it’s cameras are. For the 14 Pro Moment made a new filter mount that mounts directly to their new cases.
      For lenses, there’s some vignetting in the corners on some of Moment’s lenses - most likely because of the new bigger sensor in the 14 Pro. I’ve made a video testing all the lenses on the 14 Pro/Pro Max if you’d like to check it out! 👉🏻 th-cam.com/video/4_n943xVwD8/w-d-xo.html

      I’ve still not been able to try this for myself. But if you follow the link in the description, there’s a Reviews & Questions section at the bottom of the page. In the Questions section a few people have asked the same.
      Copy and pasting Moment’s response:
      “As the iPhone 13 Pro Max camera bump has increased in respect to the older generations, the 67 Phone Filter Mount can have problems in covering all the cameras at the same time, so it will not seal all the way around and might have light leaks.”
      They do say it works with a 13 mini however. They could be working on an updated filter to fit the 13 Pro Max - if you reach out to them they’re pretty good at answering questions! I hope they make a new one! ✌🏻

      No. The current (as of Feb 19, 2022) Moment 67mm Filter Mount does not fit around the camera bump/lenses of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, even without a phone case. I wouldn't recommend filing away material from the Mount, because it would remove some of the foam padding and compromise the seal.

If you’re shooting a lot indoors you might not need one - you might find you can set your shutter speed to double your frame rate without needing a filter. Maybe try it out on your next shoot. I’ve not used it I’m afraid! I see it’s a UV filter too - Image quality-wise I’ve never really seen any noticeable benefits to using UVs. But they can be useful as a way of giving your camera lens some extra protection - I use a UV filter on my drone for this purpose. Looks like Moment’s CineClear fits into their Cases covering all the rear cameras - so it could be useful if you’re worried about them getting scratched ✌🏻

      Yeah I've see that, I actually made a video recently showing all the lenses on my 14 Pro Max. Freewell have just come out with their own anamorphic, but I've seen some very slight vignetting on that too - although not as extreme as with Moment's. I'm hoping to test more lenses on the channel in future to see which ones work best. Thanks for watching! ✌🏻

      I don’t have a 13 Pro Max to test with I’m afraid, sorry! A couple of my friends do though, if I see them I’ll try and test it on theirs.
      But I’m sure if you ask Moment Support they will be able to give you an answer sooner than I can. Thanks for watching! :) ✌🏻

    I'm conflicted. Finally made the switch from android to iphone 14 pro max 1tb. Beast grip's selling a filmmaking kit and there's a 58 mm adapter. My question is, after watching your video, should i get the 67 mm from moment or will the 58 mm cover all the lenses as well?

    • @JCKRGB
      @JCKRGB  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've not used the Beastgrip adapter so I can't comment on that sorry! But I've ordered Moment's new version of the their 67mm adapter for the 14 Pro's and I'll be testing it out on the Channel once I have it!

    2-5 or 6-9 VND Filter for the iPhone 15 Pro Max?

    • @JCKRGB
      @JCKRGB  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on your lighting conditions! Generally I’d say 2-5 is best for overcast days, and 6-9 when it’s bright and sunny as you’ll need to stronger ND to reduce the light transmission ✌🏻

    I just bought someone else 62mm lens adapter for only 10$. My problem is Im getting slightly vignetting on anamorphic lens. Should I get step up ring 67mm to 62mm? Is that possible?

    • @JCKRGB
      @JCKRGB  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it sounds like the filter adapter / filters you’re using are too small. If you only put the adapter on, and don’t see it in the edges of the frame, a step up ring might fix the problem for you. But it’s hard to say for sure! You’d just need to try it and see ✌🏻

    • @JCKRGB
      @JCKRGB  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I did for shipping to the UK. At the checkout on their website, once you’ve put in your shipping address, it calculates the taxes you’ll need to pay and adds them to your total.
      Didn’t have to wait for them to go through customs or anything, they shipped right to me 👍🏻
      The whole set would be sweet! There’s still a couple I need to get 👀

    Hi. Should you also use ND filters when shooting at night / low light? If so, which do you recommend?

    • @JCKRGB
      @JCKRGB  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In low light or nighttime shooting, you probably won’t need an ND filter as you’ll be able to set the appropriate shutter speed without overexposing your footage.
      In low light at the start and end of sunrise and sunset hours, you might find yourself needing the ND. In which case I’d recommend the Freewell Standard Day. Hope that helps! ✌🏻
