Agree. They should have made it at least 400. I'll be buying it a heartbeat. In our country 400cc is minimum required to get through in and out of expressways, so I bought a triumph speed 400 it's an absolutely fun bike to ride. But honda is honda and as much as I love the looks of my speed 400. I might say honda cb350 design won me.
It's about time Honda decided to sell the Honda 350 in the UK and Europe. I live in Taiwan and Honda don't officially sell the 350 here either. However there is a motorcycle dealership that imports the 350 Highness from India. So I recently bought one and love it. I personally think the Highness is better looking than the GB 350. Nicer exhaust and round indicators , not the nasty pointed ones on the GB. The saddle on the Highness doesn't stick up un the air like the GB and the pillion saddle is separated from the rider's. The mudguards are better too. Much longer and more efficient. I don't know why Honda didn't decide to release the Highness instead of the GB...But that;'s just my personal taste. The engines are identical which is the most important thing. I predict it will sell well in the UK and Europe. Just under 4000 pounds in the UK. I paid 3000 for mine, brand new.
The GB350 needs a proper rear fender, not just a plastic plate holder, and the front fender should be lengthened and given a matching glossy paintjob. Also, I'm not sure why they got rid of the chrome pipes and went with flat black and a cheap plastic cover.
I love the black Hornet, even with the gold forks, of which I am not usually a fan, because of the cool contrasting colors. BUT, that gigantic exhaust is ridiculous. Why do they keep making these things so humungous? Nice vid T. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
Lots of road tests on the GB350 by Australian TH-camers , has been available for the last year in our market. Just wish Honda used the same design but made a bigger capacity twin. Basically a air cooled MT07 engine
@@chrisreed3929 The one offered in Asia/Australia with full chrome exhaust an different fenders looks way better. Europe will have the bike probably 50% more expensive and uglier.
@@chrisreed3929 because if you "bore out a bit" a 20 bhp engine, you get 40... 🤦♂ It's a long stroke single cylinder, air cooled engine that revs only to 6000...
@@AndrasMihalyi That is why I suggested only increasing the bore, making the engine more square, which then would comfortably handle higher revs. A motorcycle air cooled carbureted engine can make up to 100bhp per litre reliably, albeit at a higher rpm and often benefiting from fitting an oil cooler. I love the bike as it is and it is clearly perfectly suited to a lot of markets, however I was only reflecting on how the design could be adapted to suit European markets where the ability to vary speed between 70 and 130 kmh is more commonly required. I realise my use of 'bore it out a bit' was lazy for; redesign engine with new barrel and piston to achieve desired increase in power, whilst adjusting fuelling, compression ratio, timing, valve openings to suit. However I live half my time in Asia in a developing country, and the standard bike is perfect there as it is rarely possible to achieve European speeds.
350: Good luck to Honda with this, but low power, low torque, slow speed, it's only major selling point is "cheap". I think they should have gone 400 "super dream" direction if they wanted cheap n cheerful. That Hornet 1000sp- where's the lower covers gone?
Classic car enthusiasts: I think there are only 300 frames left of this specific model from the 1970s! Motorcycle enthusiasts: I can just buy a brand new 1970's bike right now... might have a new headlight and better brakes.. still 1970's engine tho.
Triumph really won, there is no competition for the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 right now, its incredible how neither Honda or Yamaha can give us a 40hp sub 170kgs bike that doesn't look like a alien
I have the CB 350 RS smilar to GB 350 this bike has buttery smooth experiance this bike is not about speed but the ride quality its beyond any other bike in the catogory
We get CB350 here in India. Costs approx 3075$ on road. I am saving money to buy one after i get rid of my stupid unreliable Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350.
It will depend on the torque, most back roads have speed limits of 40mph and the road conditions are terrible so this bike should be good for what most people need.
At this point, quality is the only thing keeping Honda afloat. People certainly aren't buying Honda bikes for their looks. Even the GB350 is a miss with its tacky rear fender/plate holder, chopped front fender with a miss-matched sheen, and the blacked-out pipes with a cheesy chrome cover.

Really? "178kg kerb weight"..."Not what you'd call a porker"... Got to be having a laugh! It's grossly underpowered for it's excessive weight, and it's overpriced too!

Just gives the normal scrambler without the high tedious exaust
My first bike in the 70's was a CB450 twin. I loved that bike and I'm waiting for a modern version. Please Honda, hurry up, I'm running out of time.

@@Tom-op1pv the honda has the long term reliability
they need to release a GB450/500 and release it in the US. 350cc is just not enough ummph to keep up with highway traffic.
Exactly
They did. The GB500. 1984. No one bought them. This is basically a response to Royal Enfield but falls far behind the Triumph Speed 400.
be a man and buy the cb1100x
Just throw in the 500 from the CB500, should be nice then not sure why that's not available yet. Honda seems to be waking up though.
I used to ride my 2002 ninja 250 on I70 with no issues keeping up with traffic

GB350: my favourite 350. About time GB got it. The NC looks great.
