I think this match perfectly shows Orc lategame, no heavy magic damage unit so you have to heavily rely on your spellcasters to do the heavy lifting (Stasis Trap, Heal Ward, Bloodlust, Spirit Link)
Was Grubby trying tho? he was experimenting with mostly Headhunters with upgrades. If he actually tried and player better units, he would've won for sure.
@@jpgggggg He did play great though aside from bad Heal Scroll timing after a Nova and Fire Breath in the final fight. But his army composition can't really fight Bears and lots of AoE. It's tough to say what would've worked, you kinda need more spellcasters to give you an edge you need because Orc units are basic and oriented around fighting...
@@jpgggggg He is experimenting with the HH strategies because all his previous builds have been inconsistent against NE. The matchup is just bad, the search continues.
Chain lightning and Shockwave ... 250dmg dispell with a huge mana pool ... Even Earthquake for buildings. Perhaps the best hit&run burst? Not all races and units are meant for a head2head combat.
As a previous SC2 mapmaker who had a map on ladder and in tournaments, WC3 sounds like it 100% needed more incentivization for pro's to want to try new maps. SC2 had tournaments held exclusively on new maps, and those maps made it to ladder and further tournaments. I do feel for the pro's, though. They can only spend so much time practicing and then to add learning an entirely new set of maps for no immediate payoff would be silly otherwise.
Man, you talking about community maps made me really miss the old custom maps and custom campaigns that were rendered unplayable because of reforged. I think that kinda ruined the legacy of a lot of the community members in WC3. Anyway, thanks for the content, Grubby!
No new maps is a problem of tournament format. It's how ASL (now SSL) gets away with it. It needs to be tied to the prize pool, and playable in advance. 🤷♂
The beginning part was really interesting. I would love an analysis on why lost temple and other maps are so popular and as "objectively" good as they are. I mean all of those goldmines seem excessive. Aren't 4 Gold mine maps better? Or maybe 5 Gold mines!
@followgrubby I agree. I'm not sure what his perceived problem is. @silverkiko out of curiosity what would you change or improve about the editing besides the thumbnails? Sincere question because I don't see anything wrong with it currently
For pros playing new maps: What about a quick 6-match series involving 4 players of a different race? Each player plays each other player from each other race in the 6 two-way combinations possible. Pay each pro $10 per game and $30 for the win (could adjust these amounts). Total cost would be $300 and it would get all data on all possible cross-race match-ups for that map and use it to promote the tournament. Data is a small sample, but it might be a start to identify issues with maps if one player wins all 3 games more easily than expected?
The Elf units have become significantly stronger than the Orcs. Should we focus exclusively on using riders to attack the enemy base and their expansions?
Grubby I know you love orc but it feels like they are overall the weakest of the 4 races, the orc heroes have to carry so hard , do they excel in any one area ?
What about bronze leagues trying out maps? If I were to build a map and bronze leagues tried it out, wouldn't some pro players watch the map/match and be critical of the design? That alone could be an easy setup and the criticisms would be helpful to the map builders.
I'll just say this the last whatever number of videos I've seen Grubby play, I don't think I've seen him lose to undead, human or orc also panda is a commonly recurring theme in those videos as well (although not guaranteed)
Merchant: how many healing scrolls would you like?
Grubby: yes! 18:17
:) I love Koala bears
Not enough snakes ! 😅

Chimaeras with kodo aura is crazy! That scepter of mastery was nasty
the frost revenant lol
Your thumbnails do a lot of damage to my eyes
You know the quality of a player and person when they are defeated. Loving your content keep having fun bro!

Jens is a strong player from Chile! Probably the current best south american night elf players or one of the best.. gg Grub
The classic late game wyvern switch up
These lose matches are so interesting in learning how to deal with stuff
Grubby do you miss old maps like ancient isles and the one with double fountains (secret valley was it?)
3:30 feels like sc2 expansion timing. weird to see it.
My favourite GRubby video so far. Chimaeras killing berserkers. Feels so good.
your thumbnails are getting goofier and goofier Grubby
uncreative lazy editor that been using the same thing again & again.

Grubby videos make my day better
The pros should make maps. There should be a tournament for the best map and only the pros should get invited to make a map.
What do You think about using Shockwave instead of stomp against NE?
11:23 "It looked good" -- for content

Why it was no damage to a wolf at 3:46? Is it a bug? FarSeer didn't received XP as well

The losses doesn't mean he bad, he pro player better than 95% player in wc3 and gaining alot of experience for that loss
Is it worth tree of life first on lost temple or is it too risky even there?
Lost Temple is such a fun map to watch! Too bad it clearly doesn't favor Orc who has no good T3 units 🥲
I have a impression that more new players are join this game
I don't know why Chimera's can't attack air units while Undead Wyrms can...
Considering they do the most ground damage of any unit in the game (and splash!), it would be too strong if it also attacked air
@@Tom-ou8cz yes but again, Wyrms Freeze an entire building while also can shoot air units, so the only way to attack air units in NE is Hippogryphs

What if two peons will go expanding, one for hall the other for borrow?
And what if borrow peon will build tower too
Isn't tower, then burrow, better?

Why not have a tournament that uses only new maps so that players get paid and maps get tested at the same time like Starcraft 2 does?
This used to be a thing in StarCraft 1. Unfortunately seems to be much less common (at best) in StarCraft 2.
