Batman has been around for over 80 years and has had some of the greatest comic book creators of all time work on the character. From Neal Adams to George Perez to Frank Miller, all the greats have spent time with the Dark Knight Detective. And this has led to some amazing comic accurate action figures. In this Panels to Plastic Video, we are going to look at Action Figures based on the work of Darwyn Cooke, Brian Bolland, Jim Aparo and Jim Lee -we will see how their distinctive styles developed and how that influenced the toys made based on their creations. In my opinion I think the mafex looks way more like Jim lees art then the othe figures

Great video! I’ve recently subscribed, I’m really liking this channel. This series is fantastic and I love that you put so much respect to the comic artists, going as far as to give us some of their backgrounds as artists before talking about the art itself.
I’d love to see that Darwyn Cooke figure video, it’d be nice to see the figure versions of all the DC characters based on his art outside Batman.

I would love to see a flash episode. The flash is my favorite hero and I know a fair amount about him but there’s always something to learn and flash has lots of fantastic figures. And amazing video keep up the great work

I would love to see some of the adaptations of Todd mcfarlanes art! I'm not sure how big your image collection is, but I think covering his works in marvel and dc would still be a fun romp!!

The DC Icons Batman is also very Jim Lee. Im pretty sure it supposedly based on someone else’s art but details are all there.

Great video as always my friend! Love Cooke's art and would love to see a Panels to Plastic video on The New Frontier. I have that same Batman figure and I just love it. I think Cooke drew Spidey for either a mini series or one shot book if I'm not mistaken.
He wasn't one of the choices, but I think a Panels to Plastic of Superman would be great as well.

I have all the HUSH collection from DC Direct and I still love that batman, and I have ti say that the sculpt from the Mcfarlane version looks good, but definitely they have downgrade their quality in the figures, the articulation joints sometimes look pretty bad, but the worst in their figures is the lack of paint, that is something I can't believe in the modern Mcfarlane figures... I had to paint my JL Snyder cut Batman to look!
This one really surprised me with that bicep joint - very disappointing
I loved this video, and I can say that in the future afourtunetly mcfarlane gave us the hush batman with gray and blue colors normal head and interchanchable fists.
Lots of wants for a Batman version of this...

I have the absolute edition of Batman hush from my comic book club and oh my god I love the artwork that is why jim lee is my number one favorite artist of Batman and I have two Jim lee figures the revival of super powers and the 3 inch page punchers

What is the next paper to plastic you will be doing next? I enjoyed this video but it's been pretty rough because I am nearing my grandfather 7th death anniversary.
for the Batman 80 years they did a pack of 4 Batmen and one of them have a Super Friends Batman with black cape and mask. BLACK instead of Blue! blasphemy!
