It's a complex plot and deeply historic. A quick 1liner to summarise doesn't do it justice for your fellow new watchers
Well, in this song she thinks her husband won't do such a thing. Though deep down she knows , something is not right. But later in the film , when she finds out, she says do whatever you want to do, just don't come to my room ever again.

The wife doesn't accept, instead she makes it known that she doesn't want to be part of it. Bajirao comes to her telling her that he loves her the same way he loves mastani but she immediately calls him out and sets things straight by telling him to not lie to her and to not hurt her pride because it is the only thing she has now that he has stepped all over her love for him. The stand off she has with him is so strong and really reflects how beautiful her character is.

Lol it's not movie about them fighting against world. Only his family. There is still Mastanai mahala & lake named after her. And story is also about valour abt the King courage for independence
Yes many of us didn't like Bajirao cheating on his first wife in this movie. I hardly cared for Bajirao-Mastani love in this movie lol, instead I was pained for Kashibai (his first wife, Priyanka's role). She didn't compromise for riches but for family, her relation etc. In the end, she raised Mastani's child too.
Movie's name should be "Kashibai - The Queen of Sacrifice"
LoL......she is a queen, he is a KING - not a commoner. It is her duty as a queen to serve him as his primary servant - that's what a queen is. When a King takes multiple Queens for the sake of the power structure of the Kingdom - it is the duty of the Queen(s) to facilitate it.
Love has no business in Royal statecraft - only duties & responsibilities. It is only the lowly commoners who romanticize royal life.
This movie tests your maturity by making you choose between Mastani and Kashibai. If you feel bad for Kashibai, congrats, you've emotionally matured! 😁

Crapping on history and also extremely exaggerated display of wealth. Mastani was not some dancing girl chasing after peshava. She was daughter of Chhatrasal and legally married by her father to Bajirao and gave large dowry ( state and gold). Baijrao's family was not happy because he was already married and they were monogamous family. She also followed parnami sect ( Lord Kishna worshipers) like her father. But her mother was a Persian so family was not happy about that either and raised her son Krishna Rao was a Muslim afterwards. That was unwise of them to say the least.

Priyanka character is the childhood love to the knight meaning that they grew up together and she was already promised to him ever since they had known each other. Plot twist comes when mastani comes to his court and they have immediate infatuation to each other. He tells mastani that he is married and should not see her. Mastani completely disregards the consequences and offers herself to the knight unconditionally. She is Muslim and the knight is in service of Hindu maratha king of the time. Knight loses all support from his people because of this immoral relationship. Priyanka character is in pain but she loves the knight so much that she accepts his love for mastani. It's a tragedy so we know what to expect.

Princess kingdom is at risk, her old father doesn't have capacity to fight. She goes to a prince whose name is famous for not losing single war till that time to defend her kingdom for her. He denies first but accepts and they defend her kingdom together. He gets impressed with her, marries her despite being already married to another woman. After that whole movie is mastani's struggle for space in new torturous family.

Lol.. said who ? Except for Kings and royal family members, the second wives were always looked down upon. On top of that Bajirao was a Brahmin, the second marriage is not even counted as socially or legally acceptable.

I think you should do little bit introduction/research before reacting to this kind of trailer. Because this is historical movie. Most of the characters are real life hero. Bajirao was Peshawa (means Prime Minister/Commander in current sense. King was different) . He won consecutively 40 battles that time. He never lost battle in his life. He literally conquered 60% to 70% portion of current India.
