As a man from Brisbane I agree with this immensely. The part about Logan really made me laugh. I’ve been to Melbourne, Sydney, cairns and Canberra and you were 100% correct. My take on my home of Brisbane is great place to live shit place to visit and the best part about it is the ability to have an hour drive to the Gold Coast for the weekend.

I live in Melbourne, gotta say I agree. I've literally come across 7 different protests within the past month. Covid didn't help. It's a bunch of junkies with hair growing down to their knees stopping trams screaming about the fact that they need to stay inside all the time. Hell, even my neighbours go outside onto our street and protest shit at midnight. Get me out of here, honestly.

    • @jimbothegymbro7086

the protests have been going weekly in Melbourne for a while, it's over the mandates stopping the unjabbed working and after months of it you'd think one side would give up (lets be honest it'd be the government dropping the mandates because protests to a Melbourne resident is like meth to a crack head) but nah

    • @captain-chair
      @captain-chair 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

That's because there is nothing wrong with Tasmania. 😎
I live in the North-West, the crack capital of Australia, and the further you go east from where I live the more civilised it becomes, you head off to Burnie, then you go through Devenport, to Launceston and if you decide to go south its a couple hours to Hobart.
North-West isn't actually too bad, the main problem is that you can't fucking do anything if that thing you want is modern, I want to do a IT course, but they only offer it in Hobart which is a bloody 4 hour drive, total BS I say.
Tasmania definitely deserves more attention, living in the middle of nowhere, on the island in the middle of nowhere, in a country in the middle of nowhere, often makes it feel like world events are happening in an alternate reality since I have no idea what's going on in my backyard but ever every clue of what's happening thousands of Km's away.
I wonder if you have a similar mentality, about Tassie feeling like an alternate reality devoid of news or attention, anytime Tasmania is mentioned I feel happy and even proud that we are getting talked about.

I’ve been to Newcastle once for a few days, absolutely boring. It tries to be like the Northern Suburbs of Sydney but with more alcoholism and less beaches.
Also you would think with Newcastle having so much water around it it would be easy to get some good seafood, but you would have more luck finding a person wearing Isaac’s merch in all the hipster coffee shops in Melbourne.

-The people who send them down are the same people who ALWAYS empty promises us "they'll send a group to repair house damages".
-Their higher ups are ALSO the same people who are extremely quick & good with 1 thing: threatening to kick us out forgetting to pay the bills on time...by 1 DAY.
Why? Because we spent money on medical bills & car rego (both were due a lot earlier obviously), so we ended up a few dollars short & we waited the day (payday) after the due date to pay rent.

@@I_love_bread_and_Hungry_Jacks I dont see how your public housing being inspected every 3 month makes a whole city shit.
3 monthly inspections is the price of being in public housing. If you dont like it, you can always go into private housing. There are so many people waiting for public housing to become available who would happily take your place.
You can tell people to remove their shoes when they enter your house. I make everyone remove their shoes - nobody ever says no or complains.
1 day late is still late - You can get payment extensions unless you are a person who is always late to pay your rent/bills. I used to be a debt collector and was always happy to give an extension to someone who needed it. Its better to get the money late than to have to go to court or to have you skip out on the debt.

Protest happen all the time here. Lots of the time you go to the city and see flags, signs and propaganda at the entrance of parliament house and often you may see small rallies. About half the time when I go to the city centre I see some kind if advertising for a protest at parliament.
We always have protests like LGBT and trans protests, black lives matter, religious protests, lots of climate change protests, iran protests as well, and even pro nazi protests as there were a few doing it at the corner of Spring and Nicholson street.
You can see this every now and then in Melbourne and it happens a lot more here then in other cities. It's really hard because lots of people march on the tram tracks in the city and the trams need to run to get to their locations and lots of the time people can't get where they need to go because of "people on the tram tracks".

Wow I’m amazed Townsville didn’t make the list, frankly I’m a little offended, most of us residents in Townsville hate it here but ok I’ll respect your decision not to put us on you list.
(P.s. feel free to come to Townsville if your interested in getting you car stolen or house broken into!)

Oh come on 😱The big banana makes great banana splits 🥰
I have been to every state except Tasmania.
I also hate Sydney now. I lived in Sydney until I was 22 .Then moved to Newcastle. I was so glad that all my relatives moved up here as well.
I stayed out of Sydney for over 20 years now I have to go down there once a month to Westmead. I think I was the only one that didn't mind corona. It meant I didn't have to put up with Sydney traffic for 2 years. Now I have no excuses not to go down there. I HATE IT🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@familymediationcoffscoast7545 When I went to Coffs Harbour me and my family agreed that if we were to move from Tasmania to the Mainland, Coffs Harbour would be top of the list.
You guys have a similar vibe to the small Tasmanian cities but you actually have things, that in Tasmania we don’t have, we don’t have a single Ikea or 7/11, you guys have like both and way more, your Harbour is quite nice and I liked how it looked.
Don’t worry, you have allies in Tasmania, we appreciate your Big Banana, the Apple Isle loves its fruit!

I think that I've stayed in that pub... I forget which one it was, but near a bottle shop (in the carpark basically) and near a (was it Italian?) restaurant... The Imperial maybe? Or Tamworth Hotel... big rooms for Accom., but rooms shaking all night from the noise.

Tasmania rules Australia, its at its finest to be the best place In Australia, its got everything you need and the climate, people, nature, is just absolutely stunning, everywhere in the world where there's states, there will always be slums as well as people you don't like but just live on.
