Every guy I've ever "friend zoned" was either because I was in a relationship, or because their personality was lacking. The unfortunate thing is, most people who feel unattractive start pitying themselves, and frankly, having some dude who's like "ugh, well you'd like me if I was hotter" is not the kind of person I want to date. I genuinely had a guy say something like that to me once, and I had such a hard time preventing myself from asking him if it'd feel better if I told him it's because I hated his personality.
If you like the person but are already hitched, fine. Why are you friends with someone who's personality you hate? Why are you lying to them like that? I'm not saying you're wrong for rejecting them, but by "friendzoning" them, the signal it sends to them is that you do like these people, but find them unattractive, which most people see as being ugly. I believe the idea that the reason girls start wearing makeup at school even before they're interested in boys, or why women overdo it even when they won't be in a situation where there'll be guys checking them out, is because they're competing with each other, and that comes first before attracting prospective mates. That's another rabbit hole, but it'd explain why even girls who don't have some issue that makes them feel they need to overdo it, despite how many guys prefer minimal/moderate makeup and can even get put off by cakeface. Personally, I don't just find minimal or even zero makeup more attractive, but it actually makes me admire the girl for not being so damn fake, maybe even more trustworthy since you can actually tell what they look like in the morning. tl;dr: You can run (to a mirror to get cakefaced), but you can't hide (your problems from yourself or others). My Wife and I dont share many things in common and do have fights every now and again. The thing is you have to accept that things are not always going to be great. The "Honeymoon Period" will fade. As time passes you will see distance grow between you both. The key is to notice it and address it. When things get hard talk about it and work through it. It provided jsut enough information to support their conclusion. One of them was that male truck drivers make more than female truck drivers. What they did not also discuss was the sub fields for truck drivers that decide pay. Far more men will be long haul truck drivers which pay more. Far more truck drivers will do the hazardous routes such as Ice Road or whatever that show was called. Very few young women will start driving trucks so men have been driving longer so more experience. More men will buy their own trucks instead of working for someone. Then they tried the doctors category saying male doctors make more than female doctors. They did not mention that male doctors order far more tests in general than female doctors. More tests means more money. Male doctors are far more likely to be solo practice or in a small set of doctors that they are their own bosses. Female doctors are far more likely to work for a hospital which pays less. Male doctors are far more likely to go into specialties such as cardiologist or neurologist which pays a lot more then family medicine which more females tend towards. We had to do a paper on that chapter and I said it was the worst example of "academia" I have seen because it limited their information to fit their conclusion. I researched the rest of the information and proved that male/females in both fields made pennies difference in income. I then added fields such as modeling, waitressing and others that beauty ten d to influence and showed that women make far more than males in those fields even when they are comparable in looks. Remember when Fabio was the rage? Even at his prime he made far less than the top female models. It has been a while but I think he made something like 60% of what top female models made.

And to be honest, some people just grow apart, just like friends you had in high school, you may be best friends, but in 10 or 15 years, you might be different people, and the love's just not there anymore.

Dating is just common sense. If you have emotional baggage, dont dump it on them, Try not to be clingy Do not obsessively pry into their life, it will naturally happen. You dont have to jump and drop everything when they text you, reply when you have time and maybe explain if it was a fair amount of time that you hadnt replied. You cant tick every box, no point trying, doing so gives the potential partner impractical expectations that you wont hold up to for long. Answer genuine questions they may have with genuine honesty. Take pride in yourself, hygienic practices show you are taking pride in yourself. You dont have to talk to them everyday, if you have to do life stuff take care of yourself, if it naturally happens then go with the flow. You wont always know what to say or what to do, theres no time limit on thinking on these things, no rush. If the person doesnt seem interested, ask them if they are, if not then just move on. Trying to change their mind by chasing them only works to a point, know when to quit. You meet people along the way in life, e.g. joining hobby groups that interest you, social group events etc. Try not to come across as desperate. Remember you dont have to be perfect or tick other peoples boxes. You only have to be respectful, not overshare to quickly as it happens overtime. You should try to have patience, you dont have to be a people pleasure or an asshole.

TBF, behaviour/disposition/personality and all that stuff are a little different to wearing makeup, which is (supposed to be) a matter of appearance, so how you present yourself vs. how you carry yourself. I believe the idea that the reason girls start wearing makeup at school even before they're interested in boys, or why women overdo it even when they won't be in a situation where there'll be guys checking them out, is because they're competing with each other, and that comes first before attracting prospective mates.
That's another rabbit hole, but it'd explain why even girls who don't have some issue that makes them feel they need to overdo it, despite how many guys prefer minimal/moderate makeup and can even get put off by cakeface. Personally, I don't just find minimal or even zero makeup more attractive, but it actually makes me admire the girl for not being so damn fake, maybe even more trustworthy since you can actually tell what they look like in the morning.

My Wife and I dont share many things in common and do have fights every now and again. The thing is you have to accept that things are not always going to be great. The "Honeymoon Period" will fade. As time passes you will see distance grow between you both. The key is to notice it and address it. When things get hard talk about it and work through it.

I had a college class and in the text book it had a chapter on wage gap saying it was real. It was the worst put together mess I have ever seen. It provided jsut enough information to support their conclusion. One of them was that male truck drivers make more than female truck drivers. What they did not also discuss was the sub fields for truck drivers that decide pay. Far more men will be long haul truck drivers which pay more. Far more truck drivers will do the hazardous routes such as Ice Road or whatever that show was called. Very few young women will start driving trucks so men have been driving longer so more experience. More men will buy their own trucks instead of working for someone.
Then they tried the doctors category saying male doctors make more than female doctors. They did not mention that male doctors order far more tests in general than female doctors. More tests means more money. Male doctors are far more likely to be solo practice or in a small set of doctors that they are their own bosses. Female doctors are far more likely to work for a hospital which pays less. Male doctors are far more likely to go into specialties such as cardiologist or neurologist which pays a lot more then family medicine which more females tend towards.
We had to do a paper on that chapter and I said it was the worst example of "academia" I have seen because it limited their information to fit their conclusion. I researched the rest of the information and proved that male/females in both fields made pennies difference in income.
I then added fields such as modeling, waitressing and others that beauty ten d to influence and showed that women make far more than males in those fields even when they are comparable in looks. Remember when Fabio was the rage? Even at his prime he made far less than the top female models. It has been a while but I think he made something like 60% of what top female models made.

And I don't hate people who are religious, I hate religion as an institution.
