I wish the devs made more to this. It feels like a missed opportunity for a genuinely terrifying idea of "He's not stuck with you, you're stuck with him."
@@thetruthlies7 I think given the minimalist look of the game they could have gone with a design that resembles an imposing shape, like a rectangular silhouette of a man whose shoulders just fit through the frame of the door. fr fr, literally gave joy to my later endeavors of being able to enjoy horror more! Props to young me TAKING IT LIKE A CHAMP with those jumpscares haha
The thought of being in a house at night alone scares me, and I think that's why this game always felt unsettling to me back then. Glad to see it again after all these years tbh.
I loved how randomly a kangaroo with boxing gloves would arrive at the house instead of the green shirt guy you are usually robbing from. It was funny to think a guy you were robbing would have a pet kangaroo ready to mess you up once it spotted you tresspassing.
7:45 The irony of saying "nothing's happening at all" right as the lightning and thunder jumpscare has Pastra leaping out of their gaming chair was so funny 😂
I remember playing the game and alt+F4ing it when I heard the door open. I already knew that would happen, but I was so scared as a child that I would just try to speedrun completing as much of the list as possible until I heard the clock and then quit the game.
It really fascinating because you're literally playing as a burglar yet for some reason the owner arriving is just terrifying the first time it happens, like in any other scenario where you were to play as a character who just arrived home only to find there's someone in there with him you'd be scared sh*tless, but here, the absolute silence (apart from the clock) as well as the suddenness and the fact nothing warns you that the owner coming back home is even a thing prior or even as you play the game until the clock makes it so damn horrifying to hear him pull up the driveway as you just...panic. Big fan of this game if you couldn't tell, also really well made video, keep up the good work!
I can't help but be reminded of my relationship with Rain World. Far from a horror game structure, the dread and terror that game used to give me are unrivaled. (past tense as over 60 hours later I've grown somewhat accustomed and the terror faded)
Holy shit yea, as a newbie i was shitting myself in fear from green lizards but after 160hours, i can say that its just kinda chill unless some rly intense music kicks in and its just ohsmagawdgogogo. Creatures like vultures and lizards arent scary anymore but once the music starts kicking, i panic some and probably die
My brother loves that game and yeah even he panicked while playing it (he's usually fairly chill and unshakable). A game that really unnerved him was Environmental Station Alpha. Still not sure why but I haven't played the game
HEHEHEHEHEHEHE SLUG CAT :3333 rain world conditioned me to be terrified of lantern mice of all things when i first saw them. which is funny to me looking back
One of the moments that *really* got to me was when Stone Heads started playing because I had NO IDEA that there was non-threat music. The music just started going really hard and I immediately scrambled for a shelter because good music means HORRIBLE DEATH And the spider trains make me truly understand arachnophobia. Normally i love spiders but noT THOSE SPIDERS
This was a blast from the past. I forgot this game existed till ur community post announcing the video came out. I loved watching the TH-camrs play this game. Thanks for reviving the memories, pasta man.
I just wanna say I really love your BGM and overall art aesthetic, and that you are my favorite type of pasta. Also, this reminds me a very vivid dream I once had, so vivid that I started to make a game based on it but eventually shelved it. I don't wanna go into all the details, but similar to this it was a horror/puzzle game with no monster, and lighting played an important role. As you would play in this large maze-like park, day and night would pass by. During the day you would have the sun, and nights would start will full moon, but progress towards new moon with every night, and so it would get gradually darker and darker until the final night gave you something to really fear. What it was is something I never established, but it wasn't important as that slow buildup towards it.
Never thought I would hear of this game again after so long but I got to say this is a pretty good video on it and the unease of it is definitely there hurrying to try to get everything before the person living there comes back.
The premise of the horror being "hurry up or else the game gets harder" kind of reminds me of the urgency I had while playing HOUSE. I love that game with every fiber of my being and I have yet to figure out why HOUSE of all the horror games I've watched and played gets me on edge. But your explanation regarding the timed mechanic seriously struck a chord in my brain somewhere because oh my gods it makes so much sense, along with just exploring and being overall nervous and suspicious of every little object within your sight. Even the carpet aaaa.
This kind of reminds me of a scene from Crime and Punishment, where Raskolnikov has just killed someone not once, but twice, and then as he's standing there with her things, floor soaked with blood, axe in his hands, someone comes to the door. The sense of sheer panic as you have barely seconds to think, the clock racing against you Of course Raskolnikov does make it out unseen but that's not the point lol
i don't think i've commented before on this channel, but... thank you, pastra. going through a lot of grief right now and this just brought back some really good memories of me watching playthroughs of this as a kid, and it's very helpful. content's great. thank you for all the videos you put out.
I absolutely love your analysises(?)! I like to have them playing in the background when I draw or do other stuff because they always sound so relaxing, for some inexplicable reason. idk maybe it's the background music
can confirm that the halloween update was something else entirely, i remember playing this way back and just couldnt complete it because i was so scared of the ghost child
Seriously. I never even knew this game exists and upon watching this video I was just like "yeah it's just a spooky little game for children" and then the ghost child came up and it just triggered some survival instincts of mine. Something about an eerie-valley-esque thing closely and patiently following you whereever you go is just so terrifying.
you know what used to scare me? those 3d animations from the 2000's there's something about seeing a character dancing or singing in an empty space, with those weird movements, and that weirdly a good amount of them end with the character dying dunno, now it's just unnerving
It really does feel weird looking back, another game in this style with more of a focus on horror could easily stay in the zeitgeist for a while. Oh, if you see this pastra thanks for the cool content! Your art is very inspiring to look at! And if you want another out there horror game to play, I'd recommend a game by the name of Lobotomy Corporation, a SCP management sim that is EXTREMELY UNDERATED. Anyways, I hope everyone has a great day!
I totally relate to being freaked out; I don’t know why, but for some reason, I always get deathly afraid when I’m playing a horror game and there’s an enemy hunting me or chasing me that I have to avoid. It’s so anxiety-inducing that I often find myself unable to complete horror games no matter how much I want to. It’s frustrating tbh, but I’m trying to get better about it :)
Holy crap I totally forgot about this game! I discovered it on a french channel, it wasn't as popular in France, but the french Pewdiepie ripoff played it back then! Also, reminded me of how I became a Lakeview Cabin fan. I did some let's plays on Lakeview Cabin Collection years ago a month after the game came out, made videos as the game got more content, and deleted everything years later 'cuz I was 11 years old when I made the let's play and my voice cringed the soul out of me. Then, I replayed it years later, and it became one of my favorite video-game series ever. I even downloaded the first flash little game that was originally Lakeview Cabin to put it on Steam because I love it. When I replay it, I feel happy, nostalgic, and a lot of adrenaline, I even discovered new things, lore that came with Lakeview Valley and Lakeview Cabin 2, and when I discovered everything, I started speedrunning the game, didn't become involved in the community 'cuz I'm really shy, but it's crazy how some indie games can be rediscovered years later. Also, the grandfather clock reminds me a lot of some gameplay mechanics in Lakeview Cabin. The crows in chapter III, the spaceship alarm in chapter VI, the, well, grandfather clock in the christmas minisode, the clock sound when it's midnight in Lakeview Valley, heck, even the sound of the deer dying in the flash Lakeview Cabin game. It's great!
Hello Pastra! I know you cover mostly smaller games, but I was wondering if you'd ever be able or willing to talk about the Metroid Series, and how it utilizes horror elements? You analyze and talk about horror and horror elements so effectively and entertainingly, that if anyone could do it and do it well, it'd be you!
I remember this game, went back to the playthroughs when you announced this video. Simple little horror game that I kind of focused on some 8 years ago.
I thought I didn't know what this game was until you showed the gameplay. It surprised me so much I had to pause the video to remember it. I don't get the feeling of remembering something like this game from years ago when I was a kid very often, so it was pretty strange trying to remember the dark house's layout and such ~9 years later. Excited to see how different it was from how I remember, and what you have to say about it in the video. Also, I got to watch my friend play It Steals thanks to your video, it was fun.
I played this game so much as a kid I knew every possible spawn location of every item on the checklist, it was so fun! I also remember trying to stack literally every item on the map in the entrance to block the owner and it actually did work a bit
If you pit all three of the owners against Mr. X would they stand a chance? I think they'd be able to take him on, haha. But seriously, this little game is so interesting for what it does. And even though it's simplistic, it's so cool how the developers put so many tiny details into the random events and the sudden dread of remembering that *you* are the intruder here, you are the figure in the shadows, and yet it still can manage to make you the defenseless one. Whatever the devs are doing now, I hope they are doing great for themselves.
Hey Pastra, I absolutely love your essay videos and love how you unpick games. I reckon you should have a look at a game called ‘At Dead of Night’. I think you’d do a fantastic job at deconstructing the game and analysing how it effectively creates horror. It’s really fun, really scary and I think it would fit into your video format perfectly.
I remember playing this on the school computers back in the day, it seemed really impressive at the time because it was one of the only online games made with the unity engine that would play on their Dell pc's so the fact that it had 3d graphics was really cool in like 2014
holy shit, unlocked memory. the moment i saw the title screen i remembered *so* much about this game and i hadn't even thought about it in over a decade. i don't know if anyone remembers the short game, "gone home" iirc, also had a similar atmosphere. i got it as a freebie and it was so fucking eerie that i genuinely expected something to pop out and jumpscare me at any moment and it was just a cute little story told through recordings. it doesn't help that the entire house it takes place in is completely dark.
Bro this game was an absolute classic. I was first introduced to this game by a youtuber and I remember being so freaking scared through the entire video. Just the dread of you knowing that the guy is in the house with you and is searching for you literally scarred me bro. sometimes I would even cower in fear because of how scared I was ALSO I still remember the code that the youtuber put into the safe.I don't know how I remember it but I do for some reason. The code was 3612.
Wow, I never thought I’d see a good video on this forgotten gem again! Thanks for making this video, TVOThief has a special place in my heart and the unexpectedly suspenseful atmosphere is a big reason for it. However, there’s one thing I disagree with, and it’s your remark on how the owner himself is goofy. I always thought he was the most terrifying part of the game. It’s bad enough that he won’t hesitate to beat you to the ground as soon as he finds you, but he can also sprint up behind you without making a sound, with definitely gave me a heart attack a few times. But the worse part? His face is completely blank. It’s uncanny enough to feel like whatever you’re up against isn’t exactly human. Something worse than the thief you’re playing as.
You know Clyde definitely gives me a demented Ronald McDonald vibes the more I look at his design and the way it feels. Makes me feel kinda happy, I always fondly remember the giant Ronald statue in the playplace, greeting the kids.
i cant believe someone would make a video about this game so many years later (i forgot it existed anyway) but this genuinely makes me so happy to see. i was around 9 when i played this game and whenever i heard the homeowner park outside, i would go into the garage to barricade myself in and then spam click the door until it let me leave lol
I am always so interested whenever im reminded of older games that suddenly blew up in popularity on youtube then just as fast as it did, was simply forgotten about. Or well I assume most people forgot about them. Like Facade for example. It was a simple game about being invited to a couples home and either attempting to mend their marriage (through very specific choice of words) or just saying random shit to see their reactions. The Ai for the game wasn't that good, and a lot of the times the textures are broken- but it's still so nostalgic to think about. I remember consuming every video I could about this game, and then suddenly, it left my mind for years.
god I remember playing that game on my first crappy pc! It was one of the few games my pc could run and I remember just trying to throw every object at the entrance to get the person coming home stuck so I could get all the items without pressure. Thanks for this blast from the past!
im so happy you made this video this game really unnerved me as a kid id like to recommend another game for you to talk about called IMSCARED its easily one of my favorite horror experiences right behind spookys jumpscare mansion
I have a short horror game thing I think you’d enjoy, it’s called leftovers and the premise is your mother finished wrapping up the leftovers for dinner and asks you to hand them out to your fellow neighbors, it’s first person and everything besides the building is hand drawn in a 2d way, definitely not the best horror game but a pretty enjoyable one in my opinion
Hey pastra, there's a unknown indie horror game that I think it would be interesting for you to review. It's name is mundaun, it's pretty much a "small town horror story"
This game reminds me of Theif Simulator. Each house has it's own inhabitants and they have routines. You have to time your robery to this, and very often you have a stay at home parent who gets a midnight snack. If they see you or try to use something that you messed with they will instantly call the cops. The cops know what they are doing, and the homeowners carry taser guns so you just gotta get away. Also, if the cops are called too often they begin patrolling that neighborhood constantly. If all goes well, but takes a bit too long someone will tow your car. Especially if you parked in easy view of every passersby, or just not where you are "supposed" to. Trying to clean out an entire house takes a while as you screen everything for your limited vehicle capacity meanwhile you can be trapped inside the house as someone shutters their doors and windows. My favorite experience was breaking into a house that was only possible for a few hours as the owners use metal shutters at night, and the owners locked up while I was inside! I managed to hide in a closet in a kids room that they luckily didn't enter. I tried to hide in a spare bathroom, but it turned out to be one resident's preferred toilet.
Man I genuinely love your videos, they make me so happy and are super entertaining!!! You’re such a cool guy and i just love the way you talk about stuff ^^ Tysm for making videos :]
Thank god I wasn't the only one. This GENUINELY creeped me out, I found the simple fact that you KNOW you are alone...but not for long extremely scary. I find that concept almost scarier than the concept of you know you are not alone. Like you said it is the simple fact of anticipation that scares you. And the disturbing fact of the roles being switched also scared me. Glad to know I am not alone.
I had seen this game back around the time that it was huge and it just stayed in the back of my mind as a distant memory. Very recently someone mentioned it by name and it ignited so many connections in my mind that were previously long gone. The fact that this game fell out of popularity and into obscurity as quickly as it did is amazing.
God I remember playing this game when I was really young, like 9 to 11? I would always close out or immediately leave without all the items when the owner came home. After some time, though, I had effectively, and fully, optimized my runs. I’m talking strategies on which room to enter first, all the possible items needed and all the possible locations of said items, i even managed a bit of a cheat where if you hold ur paper up and then paused the game, once you unpaused it the paper would stay up without you having to hold the button, saving some precious seconds. It’s crazy to think that I had actually completely forgotten about the game, considering how hard I went on it. Like, I’m talking consistent really high ratings, the top being the Very Organized Thief rating (i think), which if you don’t know calculates how much time it took for you to get all the items then leave, and extra points for picking up random money stacks everywhere. Oh yeah, I think you forgot to mention that you need to cut the power in order to access the safe without triggering the alarm, which just sends the homeowner home basically immediately if you didn’t do so. I remember shitting my pants, just grabbing all the gold and camping in the garage, waiting for the owner to come inside bc I forgot to do a little snip on the wires. Actually, I think there was something more to the cutting the power mechanic? I remember three wires, with either only one actually shutting the power off or you had to cut the all wires in the correct order to not trigger the homeowner. I’m sure there was a slip that outlined the order somewhere. Also the painting of the girl in the living room always creeped me out for some reason 💀
This brings me back with memories of those times where that type of games were famous! It made me remember one about being a good husband? And you would do (optional) tasks like cleaning, putting in place some stuff, etc, just being overall a "good" husband but in the end you would find your wife cheat on you, it was fun back in those years to watch youtubers play it.
Dude I remember this game! You gave me an extreme nostalgia trip with that name! I did always think there was an eerie feel to it for all the reasons you explained. I didn’t even know it was that big honestly, I always thought it was just a small unknown game, I might have to check out the gameplay videos of this.
Yesss I remember this game and it was one of if not the first game I downloaded on my first laptop. The anticipation of knowing that the owner would come around at any point would scare the absolute sheen outta me
Hey Pastra! Have you ever played “Presentable Liberty”? It’s an older game but it’s a pretty incredible experience that I think you would enjoy. A very different take on horror.
This brings back so much nostalgia, I remember flinching everytime I heard the clock tick and hide under the table when I was youngers because I found the owner's lack of features terrifying
when i was a kid, i couldnt get past the first skag encounter in borderlands. i could slaughter the horde of bandits in the tutorial, but seeing those creatures, with no eyes, and a mouth that split down its skull, like some sort of malformed dog, i couldn't bare to confront them, i don't think i ever even aggro'd them lmao
I had these immense panic attacks that resulted in me just putting the character in the corner and covering my eyes. Edit: I'm getting an anxious stomachache just from watching this video 😫😫
I used to play this game on repeat as a kid. I love how genuinely scary it was being in the guys house, because usually, the intruder is the one you have to look out for. But the house owner is ready to throw fists at a moments notice
Man i completely forgot about this game. Man is this a blast from the past. I think playing it now as a 23 year old man I'd be fine, but it freaked me out back in the day.
at 1:00 in the intro, that's the exact way i treated the fnaf 2 demo (on my nabi tablet) evry time i saw toybonnie was active, he still scares the poop out my bootie.
(please read this if you wouldn't mind Pastra) Hey, Pasta, I might be more of a newer subscriber of yours, but I truly appreciate your content, especially your game reviews, it's amazing how much work and passion you put into them, I just love how positive you are about the games you review, how greatly you are able to present your feelings about them and to be honest you have become my favorite in very short time as well. To me and I believe for all of your subscribers as well your videos are very interesting, effective and inspiring Due to them I have fallen in love with pretty much all of the games you have reviewed, every time I watch one of your videos and hear you talk about this amazing game I get an urge to play them, so keep up the great work. Ok, so main reason I'm writing this is because I want to recommend a game I think you will like, I don't know if you have heard of it but it's a very obscure indie horror game made by the creators of spooky's jumpscare mansion. It's called lost in vivo, so if you wouldn't mind I would like if you checked it out and tell us your opinion on it as in my opinion it's a very underrated horror game, with all it's content, secrets, metaphors and all. Thank you for all your good work Pastra❤
Agree on every word! I often have a passing consideration of playing the games he talks about, only to remind myself that last I checked (which, granted, was a decade ago), I can't finish horror games. XD
yeah lost in vivo seems like its extremely unknown. the (i think) first time i heard much about it was in the interview between Akuma Kira (the games creator) and the youtuber wambu. and i know almost nothing about it
Pastra: Makes a video talking about a game called The Very Organized Thief, with the game's title featured clearly in the video title and heavily explained with high detail in both the video and its description. TH-cam: Ah, yes, FNAF 1.
i can really relate to the fearof the time limit and anxiety they bring, i swear i've had a dozen dreams-turned-nightmares where i find myself in that exact same position despite never playing the game or watching someone else do it
This is so very random but seeing your taste in horror I feel you would either very much hate the game of dark deception or like it- I would recommend it. I’m obsessed with it currently. The lore is very nice and it’s very fun to think about the “what if” in the game. That’s why I have like 30 aus about the game- So if you want go check it out☺️
I didn’t even know this game existed til you talked about it! I love your explanation for why the game is scary even when it wasn’t trying to be normally (the Halloween update is another story!)
This gave me so much nostalgia, when I was like 7-9yo I used to go to an older friends' house along with my cousin and we played this, trying to figure out what we needed to steal (as a good kids that didn't knew english at that point) and getting absolutely horrified once the owner arrived. Now I wanna go back in time to finish thegame with both of them
RIGHT AS PASTRA STARTED TALKING ABOUT THE GRANDFATHER CLOCK, MY GRANDMA'S GRANDFATHER CLOCK STARTED GOING OFF AND SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME, BEAUTIFUL TIMING
i've never heard of this game and i just gave it a try before watching this video wanting to experience it myself beforehand. i got punched in the face by a kangaroo with boxing gloves???? i tried a 2nd run and ended up cowering in a closet upstairs as i paranoidly listened to the house owner slowly walk around their house opening doors and turning lights on assumedly searching for me i guess. :| that was more axiety inducing than i thought it'd be lmaoo
Wow I completely forgot about this game. Thanks for reminding me of it! By the way, are you ever gonna cover the Little Nightmares series? I love your content.
I immediately clicked on this video. I was so into this game maybe 8-9 years back when I got my first tower pc. I thought it was such a cool and unique idea. Game was a 11/10 when I was younger. Seeing the title screen of the game at the beginning of this video brought back nostalgia.
So basically Don't Breathe: The video game Overall, I think stealth games are underrated, with many being labelled as "horror", even when they really are stealth games first and horror games second. I mean you could argue Amnesia: Dark Descent is just a spooky stealth game.
One of the first games that got me some attention on my channel as I was one of the first to find it on Gamejolt, I loved this game so much and it will always be special for me. Always disapointed me that nothing more ever took off despite work being done on more. Hope the dev is doing well.
I never played this game before in my life and that fact that you spoke about this forgotten game makes me want to play it now. Thanks for talking about it Pastra.
Oh this game! I played it a very small amount as a kid. I played for about 30 seconds and left immediately because I was so terrified. Thanks for reminding me about it!
I think a lot of it is "I'm somewhere I'm not supposed to be. I'm doing something bad. And I'm gonna be caught soon." It hits on some primal fear of being naughty

Basically, it's like being in the kitchen downstairs late at night and the fear comes from your dad saying your name from the top of the staircase.
Staircase?
Kitchen downstairs, bedrooms upstairs.
This sounds like it would be a really cool game!
I hope you un-shelf it
Un-shelf it if you want to
Sounds interesting enough :)
Props to you if you make the "something to fear" play into fear of the unknown!
This game is a good example of atmospheric horror. Intentional or not, it's spooky. No jumpscares necessary. I like :)
This kind of reminds me of a scene from Crime and Punishment, where Raskolnikov has just killed someone not once, but twice, and then as he's standing there with her things, floor soaked with blood, axe in his hands, someone comes to the door. The sense of sheer panic as you have barely seconds to think, the clock racing against you
Of course Raskolnikov does make it out unseen but that's not the point lol
i don't think i've commented before on this channel, but... thank you, pastra. going through a lot of grief right now and this just brought back some really good memories of me watching playthroughs of this as a kid, and it's very helpful.
content's great. thank you for all the videos you put out.
I absolutely love your analysises(?)! I like to have them playing in the background when I draw or do other stuff because they always sound so relaxing, for some inexplicable reason. idk maybe it's the background music
It's weird, I always find horror youtubers or gameplays to be the most soothing
Analyses*
Yeah, it’s surprising how relaxing it is.
@@ndt_dynamite2247 thanks, my brain shut down when spelling that lmao
can confirm that the halloween update was something else entirely, i remember playing this way back and just couldnt complete it because i was so scared of the ghost child
Seriously. I never even knew this game exists and upon watching this video I was just like "yeah it's just a spooky little game for children" and then the ghost child came up and it just triggered some survival instincts of mine. Something about an eerie-valley-esque thing closely and patiently following you whereever you go is just so terrifying.
I swear i tried playing this game but my anxiety of being caught is too high for me
I love how Pastra brings light to niche and obscure games that really deserve more attention 1
you know what used to scare me?
those 3d animations from the 2000's
there's something about seeing a character dancing or singing in an empty space, with those weird movements, and that weirdly a good amount of them end with the character dying
dunno, now it's just unnerving
Bro, I’m so happy that someone feels the same way as me. I was always scared by this game as a kid, but I thought I was the only one! 😭
Same here, idek why but I still find this game terrifying to this day, im so glad all the comments here had similar experiences
God yes this. I have a strong memory of playing this with friends in the library and one of them screaming when he saw the owner. Good times

It never ceases to amaze me how you have me hooked on a video about a game ive never even heard about
I thought I didn't know what this game was until you showed the gameplay.
Three owners?
@@YexprilesteR kangaroo with boxing gloves apparently
I love this game’s aesthetic, the kinda low poly style does wonders. It’s awesome
YES oh my god, At Dead of Night would be SO perfect for this type of visit video game analysis!!!
I remember playing this on the school computers back in the day, it seemed really impressive at the time because it was one of the only online games made with the unity engine that would play on their Dell pc's
so the fact that it had 3d graphics was really cool in like 2014
I'm glad someone remembers this game. It felt like it existed for like a few months as a TH-camr bait game before just fading away entirely.
holy shit, unlocked memory. the moment i saw the title screen i remembered *so* much about this game and i hadn't even thought about it in over a decade.
i don't know if anyone remembers the short game, "gone home" iirc, also had a similar atmosphere. i got it as a freebie and it was so fucking eerie that i genuinely expected something to pop out and jumpscare me at any moment and it was just a cute little story told through recordings. it doesn't help that the entire house it takes place in is completely dark.
I’m so glad you covered this game. I remember loving to watch it so much! Simplicity at its finest.
Literally the DAY you uploaded this i was browsig gamejolt and bumped into it
You know Clyde definitely gives me a demented Ronald McDonald vibes the more I look at his design and the way it feels.
Along the vein of games that got insanely popular but dropped off the face of the earth, I would love to hear you talk about Outcast!
Thanks for this blast from the past!
im so happy you made this video
this game really unnerved me as a kid
id like to recommend another game for you to talk about called IMSCARED
its easily one of my favorite horror experiences right behind spookys jumpscare mansion
Pastra covering Imscared would be a crossover to rival all crossovers
@@uncroppedsoop it would be so awesome
This just opened up a very pleasant nostalgic can of worms for me. Thank you for reminding me about this fun piece from old times.
Damn, this is a great video. Feels like the pre -curser to spookys.
Man, I remember watching Markiplier play this game. I still have a vivid memory of when I played it and a kangaroo came home and I got so scared lol
Holy crap I just had a huge nostalgia blast, thanks for reminding me this game exist.👍
Man, Very Organized Thief was fun. It was a lot of fun.
when i was a kid, i couldnt get past the first skag encounter in borderlands. i could slaughter the horde of bandits in the tutorial, but seeing those creatures, with no eyes, and a mouth that split down its skull, like some sort of malformed dog, i couldn't bare to confront them, i don't think i ever even aggro'd them lmao
I had these immense panic attacks that resulted in me just putting the character in the corner and covering my eyes.
Edit: I'm getting an anxious stomachache just from watching this video 😫😫
i remember watching people play this game back when it was big. it's cool to see a video on it, after so much time has passed
Oh man! I remember this game, so many memories!
at 1:00 in the intro, that's the exact way i treated the fnaf 2 demo (on my nabi tablet) evry time i saw toybonnie was active, he still scares the poop out my bootie.
(please read this if you wouldn't mind Pastra)
Hey, Pasta, I might be more of a newer subscriber of yours, but I truly appreciate your content, especially your game reviews, it's amazing how much work and passion you put into them, I just love how positive you are about the games you review, how greatly you are able to present your feelings about them and to be honest you have become my favorite in very short time as well.
XD
Yeah they can be quite difficult, but at least they are enjoyable
yeah lost in vivo seems like its extremely unknown.
the (i think) first time i heard much about it was in the interview between Akuma Kira (the games creator) and the youtuber wambu.
and i know almost nothing about it
@@Beowolf-jy5rc that's exactly how I got to know about it LOL,
Pastra: Makes a video talking about a game called The Very Organized Thief, with the game's title featured clearly in the video title and heavily explained with high detail in both the video and its description.
TH-cam: Ah, yes, FNAF 1.
Dude I remember this game. Scared the crap out of me!
i can really relate to the fearof the time limit and anxiety they bring, i swear i've had a dozen dreams-turned-nightmares where i find myself in that exact same position despite never playing the game or watching someone else do it
This is so very random but seeing your taste in horror I feel you would either very much hate the game of dark deception or like it- I would recommend it. I’m obsessed with it currently. The lore is very nice and it’s very fun to think about the “what if” in the game. That’s why I have like 30 aus about the game-
So if you want go check it out☺️
I didn’t even know this game existed til you talked about it!
I love your explanation for why the game is scary even when it wasn’t trying to be normally (the Halloween update is another story!)
Ark: Survival Evolved players that have been on a raid *_know_* that pain lol
This gave me so much nostalgia, when I was like 7-9yo I used to go to an older friends' house along with my cousin and we played this, trying to figure out what we needed to steal (as a good kids that didn't knew english at that point) and getting absolutely horrified once the owner arrived. Now I wanna go back in time to finish thegame with both of them
Pastra, you can't just unlock my childhood like this.
I’m glad to know I’m not the only person who remembers The Very Organized Thief and also not the only person who remembers being scared of it
Wow I completely forgot about this game.
0:10 just like tattletail
So basically Don't Breathe: The video game
Overall, I think stealth games are underrated, with many being labelled as "horror", even when they really are stealth games first and horror games second. I mean you could argue Amnesia: Dark Descent is just a spooky stealth game.
The Very Organized Thief is the scariest game I have ever played. Given, I dont play a lot of scary games but still!
As someone who struggles with chronic anxiety, I'm very glad someone else feels the same way I did when I played it
This game is what hello neighbor could’ve been if it was actually good
One of the first games that got me some attention on my channel as I was one of the first to find it on Gamejolt, I loved this game so much and it will always be special for me.
The V.O.T? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of it
I think a lot of it is
