@ledyeno9 you can get creative under the hood, there's some space left. If you need a lot of smuggle space, I can recommend the BMW i5 eDrive 40, you can store at least 200kg under that hood, go check my POV drive! 👌😄
Great video! Thanks for filming, even when it is pooring with rain haha. I like this van a lot, I also quite like the idea of the charging port on the front bumper, however, are you unable to charge the van if you damage the bumper? That would be a pain haha
You’re welcome, thanks for watching! Yep, what’s with all the rain on my shoot days, even in the Côté d’Azur! If you damage the charge port in the front bumper… that could be an issue! ✌️😅
I asked the chief engineer, they couldn’t use that spot to add the charge port because it would be difficult to reach when fast charging and you’d have trouble opening your door. And they kept it because otherwise it would be too much of a hassle in V Class assembly. But imo the least they could have done, is just glue that door shut. 😄
So I have a 2022 eqv and basically its rhe same then. All the important stuff like range, power etc hasnt veen upgraded at all since they released it. 90% of what you showed was already on the existing model?
Exactly! I was hoping for some real improvements in range and power, but it’s just a facelift from the 2022 model. Also apparently Mercedes cancelled the development of the next-gen large EV platform the new EQV will be based on… so I’m not even sure if we will ever see a real version 2.0 of the EQV concept. Thanks for watching!
It's a shame, the eqv was their first ever EV and since then they have made some great improvements on the other models. But it doesn't seem like they are bringing that expertise back to the minibus! I think a Volvo ex90 or Kia ev9 could be replacing it once the current 4 year lease is over
Why are the charging points for so many electric cars in the front wing or grille? This forces you to drive forwards into a charging space. Reversing the EQV into a space might not be as easy as parking a compact car, but reversing out in something that long will be even *more* awkward, and creates a risk of reversing into a moving vehicle in a busy car park. Have car manufacturers decided that drivers no longer have the skill to reverse their vehicles?
In case of the EQV it was a logical choice apparently because of the location of the parts. And they couldn't fit it where the gas filler opening is because the charge port that goes in there is too big + you could possibly be blocked from getting in the car once you plug in the fast charge cable. :)
Why do all bloggers never indicate the price when reviewing cars??? Agree that price is the main factor. Just to give an example, a Volkswagen ID4 for 25k euros would be one of the best deals on the market, but for 50k it is absolutely uncompetitively capable garbage with rear drum brakes and an innovative poker supporting the hood.
Because the price is different in every country. Normally I put the price info for different markets in my video description, not for the EQV because the new price wasn’t available yet at the time. Hope that helps! ✌️
Consumption is quite high, but as you said it’s a large and heavy car. If both passengers have their heating and massaging on, range probably will be even less ✌️😅
0-100 in 12.1 is okay this car is not intended for quick acceleration. But only new infotainment interior that should have been introduced a while back, and why hear wiper blade electric relay and motors. Seams very expensive all of the sudden and more delivery van than people carrier.
Unfortunately, the ergonomics of the rare seats are actually horrible, when you recline to a supposedly comfortable position, your whole body keeps sliding down😢😢😢😢
This is why I bought a V300d instead of the EQV. If it had double the range I’d probably bought it 3 years ago. Guess I’ll have to wait another 2 years for the new EV van platform.
I have the EQV300 from 2021 and I get more than 350km during summer. This summer I drow from Denmark to Monaco and no problem. When you have driven 300km you need a brake and the car is recharged in 25 minutes. I drive it every day and will never go back to diesel ..
The king of airport shuttles.
The perfect combo with a first class ticket 💸
except slow as a snail and a range of sloth.
And turkish mafias 😂
@itsomarz9337 Really? That's why I get all these Turkish views on the video!
@gledatelj1979 Yeah, it's not a rocket... Can't sloths cover great distances, just VERY slow?
That looks so comfortable
My home sofa isn't even that comfortable
Really nice review, no talking, just meaningful hand gestures
Thanks! 🤜👊🤛
Excited. Your videos are awesome
Thanks! ✨🙏✨
Awesome car, especislly the trunk!
at least it's not small 👌😎
Really cool colour 👌
Love that they finally added it to the V Class palette, immediately looks more luxurious! ✨
“Hidden storage”, “NOT SO hidden storage” 😂
✌️😄

@ledyeno9 yep, the i5 is the car for you! 👃
How in the world they made a van luxurious, i have no idea, but its awesome!
I like to see it as a luxury car trapped in the body of a van.
Mercedes has done a good job on this 👏 and it has drives modes cool
Yes, it’s become even more luxurious and classy 🤩
Bro , i think i found the best youtube channel
Wow, thanks, appreciate it! ✨🙏✨

Let’s see what changed.
Thanks, hope you liked it! ✌️😄
Funny that they kept the original fuel door despite it not needing it

@@johnnypovdrives 😂 fairs… although it’s still a funny gimmick
Would there be a possibility of the New Passat POV?
I love the new car and your videos too so what could be a better match?
Thanks! Not sure yet, maybe later this year, too much cars, not enough time. 😅
@@johnnypovdrives What your favourite car you’ve driven if you don’t mind me asking?
@@Aceshigh451 I think the 2022 AMG GT R in Green Hell Magno, I'd love to buy one should I become filthy rich for some reason. Or the Alpine A110. 😄

Belgium! 🇧🇪

Hey Jonny pov I’m Belgium tho can u please do the new Volkswagen Tiguan the new whone is like Tesla
Yeah that one is nice. I'll put it on my list, but I'm not doing many new drives lately, can't promise I'll be driving it any time soon. 🤞

Starting @ 89000€ in Belgium ...
Yep… this spec is €98.000 🥲
Very little mile range for such a large car
Consumption is quite high, but as you said it’s a large and heavy car. If both passengers have their heating and massaging on, range probably will be even less ✌️😅

I know, and it doesn't feel slow in city traffic. The interior really is a big upgrade from my 2021 V Class. This spec is nearly €100k in Belgium.
For a car this long it should have longer range I mean the i.D Buzz is shorter and has twice the range. Step up your game Mercedes
The range makes it useless for me, that’s why I bought a V Class diesel 3 years ago… that was before the ID.buzz existed :)
Unfortunately, the ergonomics of the rare seats are actually horrible, when you recline to a supposedly comfortable position, your whole body keeps sliding down😢😢😢😢
I didn't know, I've been driven in them for half an hour and they felt very comfy. But no idea how comfortable they are for long distances.
The 300km of battery range is still so disappointing real world figures are probably more close to 250km
Eric Radial
This is embarrassing for Mercedes the EQV u can’t do more than 250miles so u can’t work long distances
This is why I bought a V300d instead of the EQV. If it had double the range I’d probably bought it 3 years ago. Guess I’ll have to wait another 2 years for the new EV van platform.

20000€
Sold!
Vito would come
I've been driving the new diesel V Class also, POV drive video coming soon!
Don't EVER get the EQV, it is utterly useless. Go for the 300d and you'll have a nice car.
Can u look to Kia sportage 2024🫶🏼?
I'd love to get a contact at KIA, but I haven't got one... need to drive that EV9 too!
I have 2021 V-class, used S-class before... and I can say that MB is piece of crap. It's quality is so low.
I don’t know about the S Class, but I have a 2021 V300d too, it’s the best car I’ve ever had, what don’t you like about it?
NEVER EVER ELECTRIC 🥱
