What the Supreme Court did say was the raw exercise of the powers listed in the Constitution is immune regardless the reason. When one of those powers is the command of the military, the reason matters, and it matters for all the same reasons that military conduct is not necessarily immune either.

Why would Congress put in an oath of office, if the oath of office is unenforceable by law? Impeachment wouldn't matter. Nonsense. The most that was given was the OLC opinion that you could not try the current sitting President. That is not immunity after the fact. What the Supreme Court did say was the raw exercise of the powers listed in the Constitution is immune regardless the reason. When one of those powers is the command of the military, the reason matters, and it matters for all the same reasons that military conduct is not necessarily immune either.
