Separate the WALL system, the COLUMN structure system, the DOOR system and the WINDOW system. Keep in mind that connectives are the STAIRS, the RAMP and the Elevator. If you visualize this in such terms ARCHITECTURE will make a lot of sense when you draw it and why you draw it in a certain particular way. :P My two cents.

There aren't actually any good plans online that i could find either. I was just going by the general outlines based on the plans that I found but they're a bit. Best I could find was here: blurry.en.wikiarquitectura.com/building/weekend-house/

Loved this tutorial, only have one note. I used the Array function to add the columns and found that to be quicker
