are you stupid? the style and pace of play of the yrs 2007 to 2016 were much much faster than hw the game is rn. nowadays players are being patient and doing the long rallies with VERY little changes of pace. Have u even watched the 2011 World championship finals? or the 2008 Beijing olympic final? 2012 olympic final? 2009 surdiman cup? 2009 all england? 2010 japan open finals? All these matches are of supremely high pace than hw badminton is now
Bro... They only play slower when it's Lin Dan vs Lee chong wei. They know each other so well that brute smashing will get themselves killed. And also waste energy.
But older version looks like a masterpiece because of their footwork.Modern version looks kinda messy a bit

This right here is the PEAK of badminton and yes some players today or in future may come close to these two but highly doubt someone will surpass them
Just felt like LCW played calmly and cautiously with minimal mistake on Game 1 which leads him to taking game 1.
While for game 2 I felt that Lin Dan‘s playing conservatively which is unfavorable for him and not exactly the kind of speed and power play style which is more lethal and threatening to LCW like he did in other matches against LCW.
Thus，resulting in the loss of two straight set.
Somehow it was still super entertaining to watch this two legend play 🔥💥
