Per electrical engineering good practice wants me to disconnect the battery cable before working on any electric parts. I have also exposed my thoughts on the subject inside the video. I made sure I gave the viewers the explanation. If you choose to not disconnect the battery and you got lucky and something gets damaged at least you know that good practice wants you to remove the power source before starting to disconnect things.
Hi, Thank you for your video, It really helped me to understand how to remove and replace the screen. I would like to know why you disconnect the battery before you plugged in the new screen? One more thing, witch screw driver head you use?
so like I was saying in the video, the way pixel has done their stuff. You need to remove the mid frame and all those other stuff to get access to the battery getting access to the battery first and disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Will let you use the button in order to turn the device on normally without any issues or going inside, safe mode and all those other stuff. I could have just removed the screen without removing the battery and then in order to turn the device on will require to press the power button, and I believe one of the volume buttons in order to hard reset the device so that it can turn on so those are the two things that you can do in order to turn the device on if you disconnected the battery cable or you did not go through the process of disconnecting the battery cable.
People have expextional ability in damaging theirs devices that they don't care about 😂. This is not bad. Those with broken screen and broken aluminum frame are the ones I don't understand how it can happen.
You should ask yourself WHY he has not turned the device OFF? this start a conversation and hypothesis. If you still do not know you ask. You stopped at 1:02 great you wont know why some things are done in a certain way.
Where do you buy the screen for a good price?
You don't need to remove the battery connector to replace a screen.

@@ersbit is the good practice you mentioned for safety or for the phone to fully drain and avoid the phone not registering the new screen?
