  • We get a lot of questions about what autocycle is. Hopefully this will clear things up on its function. It is one of the handiest features Eastonmade has to offer. It's like having a helper with you all the time.

Love your work Andrew. The auto cycle valves and that big bore ram are sweeeeeeeeet.
Just curious what sort of pressure is being created on the return stroke. It sounds like the return stroke is loading the motor up which suggests that the dump valve needs to be bigger (or duplicated) for the massive oil flow rate on the return stroke.

Finding enough wood to keep this splitter fed seems to be my only problem!

got two spliter's now. Going on 70 years of age. Would really like one of the high end one's just can''t afford it at this point in my life. We have an outside wood burner and a fire place in the house. So we do burn a lot of wood. If you ever have one that you want to give me please do. It looks like a great machine. Tom

How does Easton made get the fast return stroke

  • @josevelasco3245

So you can manually stop the split/ram coming down to do a split simply by throwing the split lever back? As long as you don't engage the return lever forward it will just stop its cycle and not return? Hope this questions makes sense...I am just curious if it the split stroke can be worked manually as well.

If you hit the forward lever it will automatically retract. It will stop if you put both handles in neutral

@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters Ok, I guess that's the easier way of putting it, make sure both levers are neutral to stop it. Thx!

Can you buy a 4 or 5 spool valve and make two of them into auto cycle or do they come factory to do that?

We have worked extensively with galtech to get them to work properly

clever! does the auto return based on the line pressure of the cilinder ? so if it's end of stroke, and pressure rises to max, does it flip to auto return that way? thanks!

What is the difference between auto retract and autocycle?

    • @EastonmadeWoodSplitters

One locks on to go reverse, one locks on and cycles forward then reverse
